In this vlog, I explore some popular spots in Da Nang, Vietnam, and also reveal a hidden place of the trip 🫣. Join me to see the famous sights and discover this special secret!🤟🏻
Feel free to share your thoughts or just say hi in the comments!
We started the day with a quick stop at this coffee spot.
Spacious and cool design. The best! They had the menu right on the door.
It had a huge variety of drinks. Here, maybe.
We came to Coffee Logging. It's a coffee place basically in the same street as our hotel and
we are going to try out the famous coconut coffee. It really tastes like coconut and
it's kind of like coconut ice cream because it's literally the coconut milk mixed with ice.
So you see that it's thick. Basically like ice cream.
Very creamy. It's perfect for summer. Then my boyfriend ordered this matcha coconut latte.
It's very nice like the matcha doesn't have that green grass flavor and also you can taste the
coconut. I think it's a very nice combo. Both of them cost 105,000 dong which is around 4 euros.
It's our second day here in Da Nang. The plan for today is to check out the Lady Buddha and just
see what we come across along the way. We were using the TN Go bikes, basically the city bikes.
We bought for two weeks and the price was around 3 euros. Very affordable.
And of course before continuing we got some cold drinks. It's pretty hot today.
We are heading to Lady Buddha and we tried to go with bike but there weren't that many stations so
we only were on the bike one kilometer and now we have to walk the rest. We have walked around
two kilometers but there is a hill still four kilometers and it's gonna take us an hour.
Sometimes Da Nang can look like this or like this and you might be wondering why don't we take a
grab or a taxi. Well simply we always like to go to every place walking so we don't miss any spot.
Nice temple in the middle of the village. There is even a garden dog. You see what I was talking
about like if we went with a taxi we would have missed nice spots like this. This huge temple,
super colorful. Wow it has many things and I think they are preparing it for the
lunar new year. It has many many Buddha statues. I think this is a must visit place
and the thing is I have never seen anyone recommending this place and I think
this is a must feel like it has so many things. Here at the Buddha temple you will find a status
of two important figures in Buddhism. First is the Buddha who represents wisdom and inner peace
then there is the Bodhisattva of compassion, a symbol of kindness and protection often seen as
a motherly figure who listens to the suffering of the world. People come here to pray for peace,
healing and guidance. The temple's architecture is a beautiful blend of Vietnamese and Chinese
styles. It has curved roofs that turn up at the edges and beautiful decorations all around.
The colors are bright and warm with red and gold. We have walked all of that and now there are here
these boats. Probably they are fishing boats and it smells very fishy here but I guess it's normal.
We walked 20 minutes from the temple and we got into this place.
We were going to the lady Buddha but then we realized that Sontra Marina is on the way
so we did a little stop here and there is no ticket entrance. You need to order something
and we ordered a salty coffee with a small cake and all of this was 280 or 3 euros.
It's nice, very strong coffee I have to say but the salty part doesn't really annoy me.
It makes it better and this part is super creamy. It's sweet and salty.
Yeah this part has the salt and goes very well with the cream.
I like it and now I'm gonna try this velvet cake, red velvet cake.
Probably it's the only western food I have eaten since we came to Vietnam.
Yeah it's all right, it tastes actually like red velvet cake.
Let's explore Sontra Marina. This is a place made for greek people to suicide.
Or what do you think? What? Isn't that place for suicide? Yeah it's for jumping off.
Yeah when you don't get too lucky for one euro.
Well Ari is from Greece so what do you think? Do you think this place is enough greek?
Yeah I guess. I mean the food is kind of not very greek but
the place looks very nice. It looks a lot like Santorini actually.
I mean there were a few options like greek foods but it was just like the soulaki. I mean the
meat wrapped in tortilla. Come on that's not souvlaki, that's not gyros, that's kebab basically.
But it's a nice spot for photos and actually the entry is not that expensive. You order whatever
you want and you can even just pay one euro. Yeah we paid like what three euros for both of us.
Nothing really. We were not hungry or thirsty so we just ordered a small cake and this
vietnamese salt coffee. Yeah it was very nice. The salt coffee was very good actually. Yeah I like it a lot.
I mean it's greek style but then it has randomly some chinese style stuff. We are leaving now the
Sontra Marina and we are heading back to Lady Buddha. It was pretty nice like I like it. It was
worth it going. And now I had to put my jacket on because I already burned my back and I don't want
to get it worse. So yeah I will need to sweat now like a pig. Finally we are arriving to Lady Buddha.
It's super hot and we are super exhausted. And right there there are those stairs so it's gonna be
even more tiring to go. So exhausting. But look at the views. You can see the beach from here.
Yeah?
What a ******* stairs bro. Climbing up stairs is prohibited. High voltage is
really dangerous. Okay how the f**k do we go?
Okay. He's found a monkey on the way. Holy f**k he's just chilling there.
So do we continue straight? Yeah I think.
Finally we arrived. We now need to go through those stairs and then we will be there.
Big stairs. Like you need to do two steps. This is the Linh An Pagoda, home to the famous Lady
Buddha, the tallest buddha statue in Vietnam, standing 67 meters high. It was completed in
2010 and has quickly become one of Da Nang's most important spiritual landmarks. The statue faces
the sea and locals believe she protects fishermen and brings peace to the city. Around the statue
the pagoda grounds are full of bonsai gardens, dragon statues and small temples with beautiful
carvings. The whole temple complex and Lady Buddha statue are free to visit and open all day. If you
come on a special day like Lunar New Year or Buddha's birthday you might even catch a ceremony.
I knew the Lady Buddha would impress me but this whole place honestly blew me away. It's way bigger
than I expected. Not just the statue but the temples, the gardens, the views. It just keeps
going. Every corner has something beautiful or peaceful. I didn't think I would be this amazed
but I really am. Look how many doggies were around, so cute! And as always thank you so
much for watching this video and hopefully you keep exploring Da Nang with us. See ya!
