Pioneer AVH-4200NEX unboxing

What's good YouTube, it's your boy Young Dub. Just doing this video here, finally getting started on 2018. Actually planned on starting this, like update videos and build log videos. I had initially planned on starting these in September, like after Labor Day. But hell, I'm already on it. So here's the first video. This is basically part one of 2018, getting into full swing here. I've been doing videos on the channel, but it's been more or less me getting demos from a couple of my buddies. But this is 2018. Like I said, I guess we'll call this video one. But over the summertime, y'all know I had that Impala with the four Rockville 8-inch Pro Speakers and the two 6.5 DeafBounce DB-MX60s, 6.5 in the front doors. So I sold that Impala. Now I got a Lero. So the front speakers in that joint are these here, some 4x6s. I just got these in the mail. Some Pioneer 4x6s. I think they're like 30 watts RMS. So I'm just running them off of deck power for now. I'm not really tripping about the front doors. I am going to go with some more 8-inch Pro Speakers in the rear of this car. I just haven't made my mind up as far as which speakers I'm going to go with. I am talking to Evan and I believe Althea is her name. Evan's wife from Under Pressure Audio. I'm trying to get in contact with them and see what their speakers are looking like. But for sure, if I don't go Under Pressure Audio, I'm either going to go with Crescendo PWX Series or the McLaren 8-inch Pro Speakers. But like I said, just doing a video here. This is going to be basically the first video, part 1 of the build log for 2018. So if any of you are familiar with this adapter here, CDMU200, whatever, I don't care. I got this because I got a Pioneer that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. And I believe the deck comes with one extension. So I went ahead and bought this so I could have two of them. And this is, I guess, for Android. Don't really care. Right now I'm running Android, so I'm going to run Android Auto. I think I might go ahead and... I think I'm going to make the switch to iPhone this fall, but we'll see. But this is the crown jewel of the system this year. It's the Pioneer 4200 NEX. I did get it used off of eBay, but... Gee, I don't know how much these things cost. So I still... I'll probably save myself about $100 getting it used. And I want to do an unboxing on this here. Let's see what the heck this is. Oh, beautiful. So like I said, I did buy it used, but whoever had it must have took great care of it. Or they bought brand new accessories for it. So there's my remote. Got like 12 of these. Literally got like 12 of these. This is the Bluetooth microphone. Got probably three or four of those. Y'all know all I do is run Pioneer. Just Pioneer all day. And screws and a zip tie. Mounting screws. And here's the extension I was talking about. So this... Y'all know this... If y'all know this deck... Like I said, it's Android Auto Apple CarPlay. And it comes default with one of these extensions. And that's why I bought the other one over here. Because like I said, right now I'm rocking Android. I think... I really think I'm going to switch this fall to an iPhone. And of course, if I do that, I'll be running Apple CarPlay. Here's the power harness for it. But either way, I still need both the extensions because I do... Y'all know I run... I don't really listen to... I still watch DVDs. But I don't really listen to CDs. So I got thumb drives. This one can do SD card and all kind of crap. So only downside to it is it doesn't have a network mode. And they packed this to kingdom come. Let me see. And while I'm on here... Miss Althea from Under Pressure Audio just sent me a message. So let me hurry up and get this video done so I can text her back. And that's probably not going to happen because this thing is packed to hell. Come on, baby. I'm not trying to pop the bubble. I'm trying to get the dog on the screen out of here. All right. Um... Shit. I want to open this so y'all can see the deck. Even though I'm pretty sure y'all haven't seen the 4200 in action already. It's not like it's brand new. This ---- came out last year. So it is... I can promise you guys this is a 4200 NEX screen. But with her texting me right now, I want to get back to her so I can talk to her about these mids and highs. And I did get some more wire. I got wire for freaking days. So let me get this out of here in just a second. That's not going to work either. Well, I'll leave that in there. I got some 2-0 welding cable. Trying to see if I can find... Doesn't say it anywhere. Nope. Not there guys. So I got some 2-0 welding cable. I've got wire for days. Last year I ran... I had four... Let's see. I had three... I had a 2-0 wire from GP Audio. I've had that wire since 2014. Still intact. Still grade A wire. So I ran that last year. I had a 2-0 version of the GP Audio. 2-0 welding cable. And another one. So I had three runs of 2-0 cable. And y'all know like welding cable is basically 1-0 when it comes to car audio. So I had three basically... Well, two 0-gauge wires and then the 2-0 GP Audio. And then I had a 4-gauge for my... 4-gauge wire ran for my precision power that I had doing the dev bounces in the front. So this year, trying to go crazy with the system. You already know. So I got some more wire just to be on the safe side. I think this is 25 feet of Royal Excellence. So I'm going to run that this year. Just to top it off. Obviously, you know, I'm not going to do a big three. I'm doing a big four slash five this year because I got some terminals that I'm going to run. So like I said, this is just video number one as far as the build vlog. But with her texting me right now, I'm trying to hurry up and end this so I can get back to her. So maybe I'll do an update when I get this out of the foam and go from there. Probably pull this out of the mail shipping. Of course, you know, it's 2018. I'm getting ready. I'm about to go slap these speakers in this car with the sound deadener, of course. And do some updates from there, man. But as always, like I said, this is Young Dubman. Y'all hit me up.
