Bora Bora, Pacific Island for ships under 1200 guests

[Music] there is a perceived romance about the polynesian island bora bora possibly from old elvis presley films but with not much to do and you've probably been on the ship a long long time you need to play gene investigates for us if you don't want to go on a tour you can hire one of these fun vehicles to go around the island you can rent a bicycle for fifteen dollars [Music] okay and brunella you are the cheapest tour aren't you yes i am the cheapest yeah the best and the best i make two hours tour i want my clean clients to be handy we arrived in barbara and it's raining so we decided to do an island tour for 30 and apparently we got it cheap because it's normally 35. [Music] here in bora bora the boats are lifted up out of the water because of the algae [Applause] beautiful hand-painted sarongs [Music] [Music] we think this is a stag form sumac [Music] [Music] pumpkin [Music] in the distance there's a very flat island called motu and that's where all the most expensive hotels are and they're on stilts in the water [Music] [Applause] face open [Music] [Applause] this is matira beach and it's where all the cruise customers get brought from the ship it's one of the best beaches on the island [Music] there's a little cafe here on the beach if you need refreshments you can hire boats out down there so pity it's raining this is the famous bloody mary's and many famous people have come here and there's a big list there chana reeves jared defidu and on and on and on [Music] the thing to drink here is the bloody mary it's about eight dollars very strong just across from where the shuttle's dropped to you there are a couple of shops and a pearl market and if you don't want to do the round the island tour you can get a five dollar shuttle to the bloody mary's or the beach so what they do here is you choose the pearls and then you can design your own jewelry and they'll make it for you [Music] i say yeah [Music] there's a saying we call it pirate mentality when they've got you on an island they can charge anything and they do ten dollars for a fridge magnet i'm going home without one there's no denying the place is beautiful there's just not much to do here unfortunately because it's raining and there's not a lot to do here the queue to get back on the ship has started early [Music] you
