If you're not satisfied with your life, watch till the end.
This story could change your life.
Let me tell you a story about a crow who believed everyone else was happier than him.
But what he discovered changed everything.
A sad crow sat alone on a tree branch, crying softly.
He felt unwanted and unloved.
He believed his life was the worst of all creatures.
A drop of the crow's tear fell on the monk's cheek.
The monk looked up, surprised, and saw the sorrowful crow above him.
Why are you crying? the monk asked gently.
The crow looked down and sighed.
No one loves me.
People hate me.
I wish I could die.
The monk's heart filled with compassion.
We must learn to be happy with who we are, he said.
But the crow wasn't ready to listen.
He kept crying.
The monk asked,
What do you want to be?
The crow wiped his tears and replied,
I want to be a swan.
They're so graceful and loved.
The monk smiled and said,
All right.
But first, go ask a swan if he's happy.
Then come back to me.
The crow nodded and flew off.
The crow flew over a lake and saw a beautiful swan gliding peacefully through the water.
He felt amazed by its beauty.
The crow said,
Swan, you're so beautiful and white like milk.
Everyone loves you.
You must be the happiest bird in the world.
The swan replied softly,
No, my friend.
I am not happy.
I have no colors.
The world is full of color and I have none.
I envy the parrot.
The crow flew off again, now searching for a parrot.
He thought,
Maybe the parrot is truly the happiest of them all.
He found a colorful parrot perched on a branch talking to a human nearby.
The parrot looked cheerful but alert.
The crow asked,
Parrot, you are so colorful and loved.
You must be the happiest bird in the world.
The parrot sighed,
Not really, friend.
I'm always scared someone will catch me and lock me in a cage.
I think the peacock must be the happiest, the parrot explained.
The crow flew off again, now searching for a peacock.
Maybe he has everything.
Maybe he's the one who is truly happy, the crow thought.
At the zoo, the crow saw a peacock surrounded by people,
admiring his feathers.
After the crowd left, he flew down to speak to him.
The crow asked,
Peacock, thousands come to see you.
You must be the happiest bird.
The peacock replied,
Not at all.
My beauty is my prison.
People pluck my feathers, and I'm trapped here.
But you, you are free.
I wish I could be a crow and fly wherever I want, the peacock said.
The crow returned to the monk with a smile.
Oh, wise one, I don't want to be anyone else.
I am happy to be me.
We often compare ourselves with others and forget our blessings.
True happiness comes when you accept yourself.
So stop comparing and start living your life fully.
Are you comparing your life with others?
