MATCH HIGHLIGHTS_ Matilda Ekholm vs Kotomi Omoda _ MLTT Week 3 (Portland, OR)

Ekholm is more than... And there's the trickiness. What a brilliant point. Matilda unable to keep that ball in play. And now... The 4-5 weekend overall for Katomi. Good ball from Ekholm to the corner. Oh, nice flip. Ball off the bounce. And that's where the problem's gonna be. Ouch. Back to back. Two service errors in a row. Katomi Emoda. For perspective, she was 7-19. Member of the Japan Women's University national team. She likes to play chopper, so she didn't feel so much pressure. Match involves a chopper, Kang Dong-seo. Talented South Korean defensive specialist. Oh, and look at Katomi. That's a nice serve by Amos. Same spin that you'd have with a backhand serve, but it's done with a forehand. Katomi Emoda also beat. As a free agent for the Crocs. Got a win over... An Olympian. An Australian Olympian. Beginning of what is gonna be a special career, you can envision it. The way she came back from two heartbreaking defeats. Everything that Ekholm threw at Emoda. Oh, nice serve return. Not going for too much, but she didn't get in position. I was just gonna say, over the ball. Chopping, it's gonna be tough. Very strong service games. You'll see right there. Ekholm stays alive here in game two. Nope. Free agent signing by the Gold Rush. March of season two. Two out of three that would tie this match up. Or will the paddlers seize a 4-2 lead. Always seems to play well after she... Look at this start. Five in a row for Ekholm. Not pulling the trigger here. Oh, and there's the inside-out replacement. Oh! Trying to give her as much confidence with her serve, which just scored. Oh, that was a great... Nice and forward. An edge ball for... Back edge. How about this? Ekholm with a fist pump toward her new team's bench.
