a week in my life in NYC!!!! major updates to the apartment! our office is coming along nicely... and the murphy bed are we kidding!?!?! use code DANIELLE30 splitwise.com/danielle30
Good morning you guys, what's up, welcome back to another week in my life in New York.
I'm feeling so fulfilled coming off of a fabulous birthday weekend, definitely go watch the
birthday vlog if you haven't already.
And today is Ryan's birthday so we woke up this morning, had coffee, breakfast and I
gave him his gift which was a briefcase and he was so excited, he wore it to work today.
So fun.
And I just went and got stuff to make dog dip which is essentially buffalo chicken dip
for his birthday tonight because he didn't want to go to dinner, he wanted to have some
friends over to watch Monday Night Football and I was like, I'll make dog dip.
And I wanted to try out Trader Joe's has this pulled chicken so I don't have to like get
a whole rotisserie chicken and peel it so just got those ingredients.
But welcome to another week in my life, I'm going to make myself some breakfast, I just
went to Equinox, got a good workout in, it's going to be a good week.
I didn't even vlog this because there was just no point but now I have to because it's
obvious.
I ran to, I was able to get a last minute dentist appointment today because yesterday
in my last vlog, my birthday vlog, my, I thought my tooth chipped in the back and so I found
this dentist here in Soho that I had like walked past a couple times and they were able
to get me in today quickly to look and they were able to just get it done.
A filling that I had had fell out.
So annoying.
But they still had to frickin' numb me so I just like wasn't prepared to be numbed today.
She said it only lasted a couple hours.
I know the drill, I've done this before but they numbed me and then filled it back up,
sealed it, we're good to go.
And now I have a dentist in New York because if you guys know, I've been going home for
my dentist literally since I moved to New York in Florida.
Yeah.
I've been going there for the last four years.
It was time, it was, I really liked the office, it was great, good vibes.
But now look when I smile because this side's numb.
And Brooke and I are literally podcasting in two hours, or two and a half, three, three
hours, whatever.
Anyways.
That is so funny.
I was just on the phone with my mom and so I threw some waves in my hair because I slept
and breathed and my hair's kind of all over the place but I did that on purpose knowing
I was just gonna add in with a waver and I'm really happy about it.
But I'm gonna now shower and get ready and then I need to do some shooting for a campaign
I'm doing that's University of Georgia related which is always so fun, I love it.
And then getting some returns and stuff like that and then we have a podcast recording.
And then we're making the dog dip for Ryan's birthday tonight.
Happy Monday.
Oh my god my smile, this is too much.
Hello, checking in, it's been many, many, many hours, it was just one of those on the
go days.
I got ready, I shot some content for a brand and then I zoomed over to the podcast studio
and we recorded an episode of Gals on the Go which was really, really fun.
Also if you guys were wondering, I kept like hinting at something big that happened for
Gals on the Go in my last vlog but I couldn't say it yet.
We had Mel Robbins on Gals on the Go, that's one of the reasons my mom was here because
my mom introduced Mel Robbins to Brooke and I and it was so freaking cool to have Mel
Robbins on.
Like I can't get over it and that episode is now live so definitely go listen.
I will be listening to that episode once a month, like it is the boost of motivation
you need but not like so in your face, very tough love, like so perfect.
But we just recorded an episode today and then the danger of living in Soho is, I walked
past Abercrombie, I bought some things, I'll show you guys in a little bit but I'm actually
sitting here because I'm coming off of a fun weekend and kind of getting my life together
so I'm sending out some Splitwise requests.
I love Splitwise so much, like I don't even know where my life was without it.
Shout out Splitwise for sponsoring this video.
It's also been so clutch for me and Ryan because now we live together and we're still like
honestly figuring out exactly what we want to split, who gets what, it just makes shared
expenses so easy for couples, for roommates, for friend groups, like if we're at dinner
it's like okay, just put it in the Splitwise.
I don't want to show people stuff but you'll see how many times, how many different trips
I've used Splitwise.
There's something called Cabo Gals Round 2, Cayman Islands, Greece, New York City Christmas,
Stagecoach, like I have so many different dinner with the girls, like there's so many
different groups on here, it's so nice and it keeps track of who owes what.
I also really like how they simplify it so I don't even know how they do it but basically
like if I paid a large sum and people owe, like someone owes a ton of different people
instead of those people paying me, that person just pays for them and pays me instead.
I don't know how to explain it but it's really cool how they simplify the expenses so it's
like the least amount of money being sent all over, like they just simplify it.
It also like really relieves the whole awkward conversation thing, like I just put it in
Splitwise, so does Ryan, it's so so nice.
Again like we're still figuring out what we want to do financially for everything but
like for Wi-Fi and certain things we were just like oh Splitwise is so easy.
For example if I want to start a new one, I'll say this is a Splitwise with me and Ryan
and then I enter a description of what it is, how much it was and I say paid by me and
split evenly.
It's also, I really like this feature too, they have different split options which is
really really nice like if you're on a trip and you have a big Splitwise group for that,
let's say someone didn't go to breakfast, you can still put it in that big group, you
just say like split between and you just select the people that were at the breakfast
which is so nice.
If you haven't already been using Splitwise, definitely download it and you can get Splitwise
Pro with my code I'll have on the screen and I'll also have a link down below for you guys
to check it out.
Splitwise Pro is amazing, it's like the best of the best and it'll give you a free month
with my code.
So I'm just sitting here doing some Splitwise for the weekend and then also figure out me
and Ryan's stuff.
It has made my life so much easier, I'm not so stressed about figuring out the finances,
it takes out the awkward conversation.
I love it so much.
Thank you so much to Splitwise for sponsoring this video, I'm going to finish sending these
out and then we've got to make some dog dip because Ryan's having friends over for his
birthday.
Oh wait, I want to show you guys really quickly what I got today shopping, I'm shopping.
I was literally walking back from the podcast studio.
So like I said, I popped by Abercrombie and because I'm wearing these jeans right now,
I only have them in this wash, it's like a darker wash, they're the mid-rise boot cut
jeans.
I usually get Curve Love but for this style, I'm glad I went and tried them on in store.
These aren't Curve Love because Abercrombie sent them to me and I actually really like
how they fit.
So I tried on the other washes because sometimes I feel like the washes are different.
Oh my gosh, obsessed.
I will have this linked on my LTK as always but I got two more washes.
I just love them, they're like straight leg and then they just flare out a little at the
end.
I find it to be so flattering.
I struggle with a straight leg jean that looks good on me, that's just how it is.
So I got this wash which is just like your classic blue and then I got black actually
because we are going to Athens this weekend for a Georgia game, the Georgia Alabama game.
Very exciting.
And we usually go out, slash, game day fits, red and black, I don't know, I just wanted
a black pair of jeans and I have just been wearing these jeans so much so I was like,
I think I can go get two more washes because I love them so much and Abercrombie always
has sales so they were both I think 20% off today, like both pairs.
So it just felt right.
And then I went back to Meunier Dubois, if you watched my birthday vlog, I discovered
they had a store in Soho, they have the cutest stuff, it's so my style and I bought brown
shorts there the other day and I love them so much.
I went back and bought a black pair in case I want to wear in Athens this weekend or Ryan
and I are going to Austin City Limits next weekend and I need outfits like festival fits
so I just went ahead and got the black pair as well because I just love how they fit.
I love these because they're like little micro shorts but they don't hug your legs.
They actually kind of like flare, not flare out but kind of, like they don't stick to
your thighs if that makes sense which I love.
So they're micro shorts with a little bit more of a loose feel.
So because I'm just like, I always buy shirts and then I don't like any pants I have to
wear with them so I'm really trying to curate the bottoms in my closet which I might do
tonight.
I'm trying to like get a feel.
This is my first time where Ryan's having friends over and obviously I love watching
football and it's Ryan's birthday but it's like the first time Ryan's having friends
over and it's like, oh my girlfriend is here too, like she lives here and obviously I know
these guys.
I love them and I'm going to make the dog dip and I'm going to be a part of it but it's
also like chill.
Like it's not like a party, like he's ordering wings and I'm making dog dip and they're just
watching Monday Night Football but I was like asking Brooke, I was like what have you done
with like Ben when he has friends over, she's like, I'll like start in my room with the
door shut and then I'll come, I'll emerge and like say hi or vice versa.
So I think I'll be out when they come in and be like, dog dip, yay, hi.
And then like kind of come in here, shut the door, just or go in the office because I have
work to do.
I don't know.
I don't know if that makes sense but I just want them to feel like they can be dudes but
also if I want to watch, I'm going to watch, you know, I'm just trying to like figure it
out.
But anyways, I have got to get crackalackin on this dog dip.
Thankfully, I bought that pulled chicken.
Our fridge is stocked right now.
I hope this chicken is good because it really makes or break the recipe.
Make or breaks.
So I'm going to make this dog dip.
Hopefully it's good.
Katie Bilotti, I think I showed you guys, got Ryan and I or like me I guess but for
my birthday but like for Ryan and I a dog dip dish which is so nice.
It's red and it's a Le Creuset, it's so nice.
So I'm just getting all the ingredients that we'll need.
I'm honestly so hungry.
Dog dip will be my dinner and more but I also need to get comfortable like I can't be cooking
in this.
I got to put my hair up.
We got to get in the weeds here.
So I might regret this but I kind of want to try mixing the dog dip a little bit differently
this time.
Again, I really hope I don't regret this but I'm going to do so it calls for, I have a
whole recipe on my Instagram, I'm not going to go into all the details, 16 ounces of cream
cheese.
I'm going to do 8 ounces and then half of the hot sauce because the most tedious part
other than pulling the chicken is blending the hot sauce with the cream cheese and making
sure there's no like lumps.
So I'm like, could I do this in a new little blender?
Again, might have regrets but I'm only going to do half of it and then the other half because
it's a small blender.
It's not like a big old Vitamix or anything.
I don't know.
I just thought I'd film this to, can we talk about how far I've come with cream cheese?
Like I seriously used to not even be able to touch it.
Okay, I'm going to do half of the Texas pea and then I'll just do it a second time.
If all goes well, this would be huge for the program, you guys.
God, it smells so good.
Ryan said he's on his way back.
I'm like, oh my God, I got to get going.
Okay.
I feel like they say like if you're nervous about something, maybe you shouldn't do it.
Like if you're asking, maybe the answer is no but I don't see why this wouldn't work
and why I haven't done this in the past.
I don't know.
Right.
I mean, it's working.
It's making a noise though that I don't love.
Like I feel like maybe it needs more hot sauce, but I need that hot sauce for the second batch.
It does the initial, you know, mix.
Do a little more.
All right.
That should be enough for now.
So I'll pour that in the bowl and then, oh, it's blinking red.
I don't think that's good.
I don't.
Oh, but it really did something.
Wow.
Oh my God.
It actually really did exactly what I want it to do.
Love that for me.
I don't love that it's blinking red.
Anyways.
Thank you guys.
Oh my God.
This just smells like game day.
Okay.
And I didn't think about having to get it all out of this.
See, we're learning, you know, should I chance it and do it on the second batch?
I think so.
I think I should just do it as is.
I just don't love that that's blinking red.
Anyways, you guys probably don't care, but thanks for joining.
I'm just going to keep doing this.
Okay.
Blending it was so nice.
It's so whipped and fluffy.
And now I'm putting in, I'm like, yeah, fully cooked.
I was like, just making sure it's fully cooked here.
Adding in the chicken, folding in chicken.
Oh my God.
This is going to be so good.
The only thing is these are definitely bigger chunks than I normally would do.
Actually.
Yeah.
Wow.
Dumb.
I should have peeled them even more.
I'm just like learning too.
You know, guys, it's a Monday night.
We don't usually make dog dip on the weekdays.
I'm just trying to do what I can.
Okay.
Then we'll just add the second thing of chicken and I'll peel these a little bit better.
It's boys.
They'll be so excited.
There's like actually big chunks of chicken.
Can I put chicken in the blender?
I feel like one of you guys told me, or something about like peeling chicken again, we're finding
out together.
Like really, I should be like shredding this up a little bit as I'm putting it in and I
should be eating it.
Oh my God.
I'm so hungry.
I'm so glad the numbness on my mouth went away too.
All right.
She's in for 10 minutes and then I'll take it out and put cheese on top and then do a
another 10 minutes.
Woo hoo.
I have an absolute mess to clean up while that's happening.
Guys, Ryan just got back and I have been dying to show you the briefcase I got him because
it was wrapped.
It's from Toomey.
It's stunning and well, technically this is the front.
Nice and sleek.
They had so many options and I was overwhelmed, but the one that he'd showed me that his friend
had that he liked looked similar to this and I figured he'd want black and then you can
get a free personalization at the store.
So I did his initials in red, obviously, and he loves it.
He said it was a lot lighter and do you feel snazzy?
Yeah, absolutely.
Oh, I love it.
Obsessed.
I guess you wear it on your back.
It's so sleek.
I'm excited.
So this is a great gift idea for your man.
I feel like it's a big moment to like graduate to the briefcase.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have dog dip.
I'm going to put the lid on to keep it nice and warm, but that's so exciting.
I've been snacking on these guys from Trader Joe's.
They are so good.
They literally taste like Fritos.
Ryan just ordered wings, so that will be here.
I was low-key, but I was like, we do have these plates, might as well.
Put them out and all I want is to take a bite out of this.
Oh my gosh, Ryan, I should have gotten candles to put in the dip for you to blow out.
This is giving Monday night football.
All right, let's try the dog dip.
I told Ryan about my new journey of, should I get a little spatula?
That was for you.
Oh, thank you.
Oh yeah, these are thicker chicken bites.
You got a big chicken bite, all right.
Ha ha ha.
Ha.
No.
Mm.
Mm-hmm, it's good.
Good nonetheless.
Very good.
Does it taste like cream, like whippeder?
More whippeder?
More whipped?
Because I whipped it.
Happy birthday.
Birthday dog dip.
Me and Ryan quite literally just ate a fourth of that, but it's so good.
So Ryan's going to have friends over and I am setting up shop.
I'm using the monitor for the first time.
It's so fun.
I'm like picking out, oh, Ryan actually was in here helping me pick out lamps.
We were going to put on the desk, but I actually think we could put a lamp on there and then
we're going to do sconces on either side of our Murphy bed, which that's what all these
boxes are for.
We're going to put together the Murphy bed and then there's going to be room hopefully
on either side to put sconces because there's no overhead lighting in here and then a lamp.
But it's so nice.
I was using the monitor to like look at both and you don't have to go from tab to tab.
I literally have like 10 tabs open, so this is so nice.
But yeah, this is going to be my little setup while the boys watch football.
I'll pop in, you know, as I said, but this is a vibe in here.
I can't like have dog dip for dinner even though I really want to.
So I have this Trader Joe's lemon pasta salad situation.
It's so good.
I wish it had a protein, but I'm getting the protein and the dog dips.
This will be my dinner.
This is one of those moments where I'm like, wow, I love having all this space in this
apartment.
Like they're all out there watching football.
I can go in and out as I please, but then I'm in here and I can actually work because
usually I would just work in the dining room, but that wouldn't be good.
And I have a whole setup of food.
I went and said hi.
And now I'm looking at these lamps.
Ryan already gave his opinion.
So like I said, lamp that's going to go on that dresser over there.
I loved this one if it was going to go on the desk, which still could, but honestly,
I'm just like, we don't want so many cords.
So this one I feel like would give a little more height and I love the dark brown.
So we don't have any other brown in here.
I just love it.
I love the deep brown color.
I hope it gives off a lot of light though, or we can do that.
I'm so torn.
Ryan and I both initially liked this one and then we were both like, maybe this if it's
not going on the desk.
And then I'm in between these two lamps to go in the living room.
So I just kind of put this on Canva and put that there.
This one definitely goes more with the space.
It ties in the black of the coffee table and everything.
This one is, you know, a little bit more of a statement, I guess, but me and Sierra were
wondering if this is too close to each other and the browns are a little bit off.
And she sent like so many other options too, but these are our two favorite.
Ryan likes the black and I think I do too.
It's just more simple and then during the holidays, we'll put a Christmas tree here
and then move this there and it won't look crazy, I think.
So I think we'll do black.
We just literally need more light.
Boys just left.
It's giving boy.
I'm dead.
This is so funny.
I just took an everything shower minus washing my hair.
I dermaplaned my whole face.
I just smothered a ton of serums and eye cream and all kinds of things on.
Feeling good.
Feeling refreshed.
Got so much work done.
That monitor changes everything.
I had so much in front of me.
It was awesome.
I posted on my story and everyone's saying that now we need a mouse and a keyboard.
So it'll be the next upgrade for the monitor.
We're doing a full kitchen reset right now and our good friend Ty and Lawson, thank goodness,
well they got tomato napkins for me because I'm in my tomato era, which is so sweet, and
they got Ryan this little egg holder and this is perfect for his egg clubs in the morning
so I set it up for him so when he opens the fridge in the morning, he can just pop this
right here to do his egg clubs.
That is just so sweet.
Like, we have the best friends.
So one of our dining chairs has officially broken.
It's done and Ryan and I are kind of loving the no chair right here.
We have more of an open pathway and it makes us more comfortable with the idea of maybe
getting too many bar stools.
I don't know.
What do you guys think?
Like, obviously we need extra chairs for hosting or stuff like that, but this was kind of annoying.
So kind of liking this openness.
I think it's less cluttered when you walk in, but let me know what you guys think down
below.
Packing my bag because we are headed to the hair salon, which we all know I could be there
forever.
I'm bringing protein bar, protein shake, water.
Today is my extensions bump up day.
So that means he literally takes out, like totally unravels my extensions out of my hair.
I have so many extensions and he like cleans them, we brush through them, sometimes we'll
gloss them just to make sure the color stays matched because the extensions get lighter
for some reason.
And then he reinstalls them.
So I am like, so basically every time I go, it's like I got extensions for the first time.
So I am bringing my computer all charged up, ready to work.
But yeah, so my hair will be a little bit shorter when I'm done in a way because we
bump them up and they're pretty grown out.
So I'm actually really, really excited.
It makes putting my hair in a ponytail actually easier.
So yeah.
And I'm also going to stop by alteration specialists on my way because basically all pairs of pants
I purchased aren't too long on me.
So I'm going to get three pairs of pants altered.
So we're going to do that and then go get our hair done.
So it's a productive day.
We are back and I need a snack.
That rhymed.
I love my hair.
It feels so nice to get extensions bumped up because then they're just right here at
the top and it really like you don't feel like you have extensions because like they're
literally up here.
It's so nice.
And I had him do kind of like a Jennifer Aniston just round brush in and then he went in with
a curling iron to like solidify the flip and I want to try that because I think that
helps.
I am going to do some cucumber and hummus situation just so I can have a snack until
I start cooking dinner for me and Ryan.
We're going to do shaved steak.
Basically like a stir fry tonight.
I got snap peas, broccoli, teriyaki sauce, and then rice and I have like sesame seeds
and stuff and I think it'll be delicious.
I'm really so hungry.
I'm like I can't even cut this whole cucumber.
Roasted red pepper hummus.
I haven't tried this one.
So let's give it a go.
It's good.
Listening to Taylor Swift right now.
It's a vibe.
About to start making the stir fry.
We got steak, broccoli, snap peas, onions, teriyaki sauce.
Let's get into it.
I'm going to do kombucha and a wine glass for the cooking vibes.
Cheers.
I mean this looks fire flamed baby.
Ryan won't be home for probably another hour and I'm really hungry so we're going to eat
but I sent him a picture and he's very excited.
I lit a candle and I'm going to watch something on TV.
I've been kind of, after I finished Love That I Need Are You Guys, I literally don't know
what to watch.
Ryan and I together have been watching The Girlfriend which part of me just wants to
watch right now.
Because he was like into it but he was like I don't die for it if you want to watch it
without me.
But it's hard when we even find a show that we both are really excited about.
So I gotta think.
Oh!
I know what I'm doing.
I'm re-watching the last episode of Summer I Turned Pretty.
That is 100% what I'm doing.
Oh I'm excited.
Guys I'm cracking up.
Vital Farms saw in one of my TikToks or something that we had the Vital Farms in our fridge
and they said we want to send you some.
I said my boyfriend is going to freak out so they just sent over three of these huge
egg cartons and then butter and Ryan's about to walk in and I'm being dramatic but I just
want to see his reaction because I feel like he's going to be so excited.
I'm going to film it for TikTok so go follow me on TikTok at danielle underscore carolyn.
Once again, kitchen's closed.
We got Dancing With The Stars on right now.
Ryan and I just reformatted the bedroom or the office should I say for tomorrow morning
because tomorrow morning 8am we've got a TaskRabbit coming to put this Murphy bed together and
mount it to the wall.
Very very excited but we wanted to give him as much space as possible for him to do his
thing.
I literally said so many times I was like there aren't a lot of boxes or do you have
experience with Murphy beds?
He was like yes I got you.
He was so not worried but I was like are you going to be okay?
Because that is so intimidating.
God bless TaskRabbit seriously.
But yeah so I'm very excited for tomorrow.
Currently packing up tons of hoodies that were left over from our Gals on the Go live
show tour.
They are so cute and like such amazing quality from the Who Is She tour and then there's
tons of tickets from all the cities we went to in the back.
They're so cute and they're long like I love them.
And we have some extra and tomorrow we're hosting our first Gals on the Go like community
event.
We're doing a workout class at Soda Method because Brooke and I both love that workout
class so much.
So excited.
It sold out like immediately so we already want to do another one.
I think it's going to be so fun and just to like workout with a ton of you guys.
So we got tons of brands to send amazing stuff for to give them goodie bags.
Like really great brands.
I'll show you guys more tomorrow because we're going to pack the goodie bags here.
But then we also thought it'd be fun to give them some hoodies because we have left over
so.
These moving bags from Amazon seriously helped us out with so many things because they sent
us these sweatshirts in huge boxes that are so unnecessary and we have to bring all this
to Soda Method.
So this moving bag is perfect.
I'm so excited.
Nice!
Good morning guys.
Time to switch bean hoppers because Ryan had his caffeinated beans already.
I'm going to switch to my decaf.
So fun.
It's Murphy bed day.
It's Gals on the Go community workout class day.
We've got lots of things going on.
There's going to be a lot of people in this apartment.
Because we've got the TaskRabbit coming and then I have people from our team coming today
to help with goodie bags and all the things.
But today's going to be a great day.
I'm going to go to bed feeling so fulfilled and I'm so excited to meet so many of you
guys today and work out with some gal pals.
I'm kind of nervous because we're obviously going to be up front and you guys are going
to be judging me.
No I'm kidding.
It's just going to be a fun workout time.
Also some of my favorite pajamas are from Quintessential Love which is Pookie and Jet's
brand.
I have a pair with like teddy bears on it and then they just sent me these with doves.
I believe it's for Paloma, their daughter.
It is buttery soft and I love how oversized it is.
It's a dream.
Like truly a dream.
So good morning.
We're going to pack Ryan's lunch because I've watched him do it enough that I know it's
going to be half a bag of this Trader Joe's rice that he microwaves later, some peas and
then chicken that he cooks at the beginning of the week.
Ta-da!
It really is a perfect little meal and he eats the same thing every day for years and
just doesn't get bored of it somehow and then he puts it in his little briefcase.
It's so cute.
Here we go.
Open sesame.
I had fun doing this.
All ready for work.
Clocking in.
Checking in.
Our task rabbit is still here.
He's making a lot of progress.
The bed is completely done with the whole pull down thing and everything.
It truly reminds me of Sweet Life of Zack and Cody, Maddie's bed.
I'm so excited and now he's doing the shelves on either side.
Our team will be here really, really shortly to start helping me put together the goodie
bags and then I think I am going to put on a little bit of makeup.
I'm sad because Brooke and I got matching Monday swimwear sets but hers hasn't come
in yet so we're not going to be matching anymore.
Sad.
But I think she's still just going to wear like a black set or Monday body.
This is not Monday swimwear obviously, Monday body but same company, you know.
So I'm going to set this table up as a little like goodie bag station.
We have tons of boxes in our storage unit downstairs that we've been, you know, we got
literally Sol de Janeiro, Glow Recipe, Element, like elite, I think like 10 brands or something
and we made custom gals in the go tote bags.
They are so cute with our new branding and we got a decal that we're putting on the wall
at the studio so really, really, really excited.
It's going to be so fun.
So they're going to be here shortly.
I'm just getting the vibes right.
I lit a candle.
I'm going to play some music for the girls and we're going to set up right here.
You guys, we have a Murphy bed like five hours later.
Oh my gosh, he did such a great job.
I am so happy.
It's so funny because we toyed back and forth with doing a darker wood versus white and
then my friend was like, I really think you should do white because it blends in with
the water better, with the water, with the walls better and I am in total agreeance.
It looks so fricking good.
Like it literally looks like it's built in.
I mean it is attached to the wall, but wow.
The only thing we didn't attach to wall were these because there is an air vent back there
and we don't want to block it.
So for now we have it pushed up a little so the air can go through, but I'm thinking about
us hiring, they have like literal wood cutters on TaskRabbit to cut a little hole in the
back of these two shelves so that air can come through or we can just keep it pulled
forward and whatever.
I don't know.
Lots of ideas, but I'm really happy because of the drawers, like I kind of forgot when
we ordered it that there's drawers and these are like big, deep, good quality drawers.
This is from Wayfair by the way and right now I have all of my tech stuff in our TV
console, but it's kind of like random over there and when I'm working, you know, so Brooke's
actually here right now and she was like, you should make this drawer like a camera
drawer and have all of your SD cards and chargers and I thought that was a really good idea.
So I'm excited to kind of play around with this and for Ryan to get back later and we'll
move the desk back and it'll look so good in front of it, so I'm happy that that is
finally done and we ordered the mattress, it's on the way and then we'll be ready for
guests eventually.
So yeah, I tried it out, it does pull down.
Danielle just lent me her chopsticks so that I could eat my veggie sushi.
Thank you.
I was going to say, what would you like, do you want to put these in the dishwasher?
You can, I put them in the dishwasher actually, if you want to just open them right there.
You can open sesame.
Open sesame.
You can just put them, yeah.
Thank you.
Very much.
You're on blast.
I'm excited.
Show us your new nails.
Oh, fall.
Happy fall, y'all.
Very, very pretty.
The goodie bags are done, the team just left and they're setting it up so we can arrive
and be ready to talk to everyone.
We're going to film a little video with everything that's in the goodie bag because we're really
grateful to the brands that sent it to us.
These are so nice.
Why don't you open your mouth and then we can do the goodie bag.
And Brooke got us a housewarming gift.
So many gifts right now.
I always move and it's my birthday around the same time and you do not have to.
Guys, you'll have to go to Brooke's vlog to see me literally cry.
I opened this housewarming gift from her.
She got us this Ryan and Danielle notepad for like grocery lists and just stuff.
Like that's so nice.
And then I opened this, she got us a custom illustration of City Bar, the bar in Athens
where we met.
Like, oh my gosh.
Ryan's going to freak out.
It's the sweetest thing.
She found this artist on Etsy, I think.
Etsy, yeah.
Oh my god.
It's just so perfect.
Literally, this is what it looks like.
She said she went on the street view.
On Google Maps and like screenshotted it to her.
I love it.
I am home.
It's 8.30.
The workout was so fun and we stayed and talked to all of you guys for a good amount of time
and just had the best time.
It just made me so happy.
It was so fun to work out together and like, I was struggling at one point, I just looked
to the girl next to me and I was like, oh my god, you know, we were all hooting and
hollering like, woo woo, you know.
So so good.
I have nothing left to give though.
I don't know why.
I just, I hit a wall.
I came home, I ate dinner.
It's only 8.30.
Ryan's on his way back, but I am getting in bed.
I'm tired.
I just want to like respond to emails on my computer and like watch TV and snuggle up.
So that is exactly what I'm going to do and I'll see you guys in the morning.
Good morning everybody.
It's Thursday, which is and always will be my favorite day of the week.
I'm having some coffee.
I went to a doctor's appointment this morning and it's a gloomy day, but that means I get
to wear my rain boots, which is so fun and I just kept on my leggings, but I popped on
this cuter sweater.
I'm going to put my rain boots back on.
I just did my makeup.
I also just made a TikTok about this.
Like I just decided I will always do a full face of makeup or no makeup at all.
Like I feel like I wear makeup.
I don't wear makeup a lot.
Like I do a lot of no makeup days because I would rather either have nothing on my face
other than skincare or a full face.
Like I don't know how to do just concealer and blush.
Like I want to and I think it looks so good on other people.
I just don't know that life and I've just come to accept it.
So now it's like, oh, I'm doing my makeup.
Okay.
Then just prepare yourself.
You're doing a full face every now and then I'll do like a little concealer, but like
I really can't.
So I have a campaign I'm filming and I'm going to the Luxie hair cafe in West Village.
So I'm really excited about that.
I'm excited to see what they did with the place and probably there'll be more coffee
there.
So I'm excited about that.
Let's do some perfume.
And then I come back and I have like three back to back meetings on zoom.
So probably won't be vlogging much and I do want to get some filming done and then I want
to pack because tomorrow we're going to Athens for the Georgia Alabama game and I literally
cannot wait.
Also the stagecoach lineup just came out and I'm like in a whole predicament because going
to the desert is obviously a trek from New York and stagecoach and Coachella are in the
same month.
And I really want to go to Coachella because I really, really want to see Justin Bieber.
Like obviously so much so that I'm considering maybe there's a world where I can just go
on Saturday to see Justin because the rest of the lineup is exciting, but not like so
exciting.
I just like really want to see Justin.
But what if like he does end up announcing a tour then it's like, why did I go to Coachella?
But also what if he doesn't?
And then I missed out like the FOMO factor is real.
The stagecoach lineup came out.
It is awesome.
It's not my favorite lineup that has ever come out.
Like I'm really excited about Riley Green and Ella Langley, but I don't know if I'm
going to do the whole nine yards for stagecoach this year.
Like every year I've gone, I've, you know, paid my own dollar for it and I've never gone
with a brand, which I can't lie.
I get a little salty sometimes because I'm like, I see brands take content creators who
don't even like country music and I'm like, so I just need to decide like, you know, do
I want to buy tickets or do I want to see if, you know, a brand reaches out, just kind
of feel out the vibes rather than every year I'm always like get the house, get the tickets,
everything.
But I might just kind of see where the wind takes me for Coachella and stagecoach.
If like friends text me or whatever it may be, I'm just going to let them, let them.
But anyways, I've got to head out.
I'm going to go to Lexi hair cafe.
I'm excited.
And then I'm going to come back.
We're going to do the calls, but we'll check in.
I'll check in with you guys.
I don't think I showed you guys the full effect with the desk in front of it.
Oh girls and boys, I am sincerely obsessed.
I just keep coming in here to like look at it.
I can't get over it.
I need to come work in here.
I am just filming stuff right now, but it is so sickening.
I also, it's kind of like a mess over here.
Like we're still figuring this out.
So it's a little stressful, but I want to make this a really calming space because obviously
you're looking at this.
Like we thought about facing the desk out to look out, but you know what, no, I like
this.
Oh, it looks so good.
We'll put some art there.
It'll be great.
Welcome to the office.
Oh, I am so excited to take my calls here.
I'm also pumped because there's just so many freaking drawers.
Like I can just put things there.
I'm like, should I plug in the monitor?
Like I noticed when I'm on calls with other people, they've got their monitor that they're
like looking at the cameras here.
I don't know if that's so niche.
I feel like that's not.
I know.
I was like, where are they looking?
The monitor.
Got a couple of calls.
One for Gals Can We Go.
One for, when is this going live?
Oh yeah.
Next weekend I'm going to ACL with T-Mobile, so I'm doing a call with them to kind of go
over the weekend.
I'm so excited.
I'm bringing Ryan.
Luke Combs is headlining.
Who else?
Sabrina Carpenter.
We actually can't stay for Sunday night because Ryan has work, but we're going full force
Friday and Saturday.
Sunday, I am sad because I've never seen John Summit live and he's Sunday night and like
Brooke obviously loves him and I wanted to see him in person, but also T-Pain.
I love T-Pain.
When I saw T-Pain during Super Bowl weekend, it was such an electric feeling.
But festival weekends are long and Ryan can only take off so much work and I really wanted
to go with him because we both love Luke Combs.
I've seen him so many times at this point and I'm so excited.
And Sabrina, to do the man-child dance in person is going to be awesome.
What's missing in here?
I need to get a candle.
I feel like a candle lit on this big desk would be a vibe.
All right.
Gotta blast.
I've definitely become more of a morning workout person, but couldn't fit in this morning with
the early doctor's appointment, so I'm heading to Equinox now.
It's like five o'clock.
And I'm meeting Cassidy there.
I'm so excited.
We're going to do a walk and talk, incline walk on the treadmill, and then some free
weights, stuff like that.
But I'm so excited to just gossip and walk.
It's my favorite.
On the roof, back from the gym, and Ryan's grilling us some pork chops.
We're having pork chops and rice and peas for dinner.
I'm very excited.
I just made the rice and peas downstairs.
Ryan, we actually totally could eat up here.
I feel like it's so nice.
Every time I come up here, I'm just in awe.
Throwing them on.
I'm so excited.
We put garlic pepper on them.
That's our new favorite seasoning.
I put the garlic pepper on the peas and rice as well.
Wow.
So I'm only going to have one of those, Ryan.
Oh, they might shrink?
Okay, maybe I'll have two then.
But it just sucks because we're going out of town tomorrow.
I guess we'll be back Sunday, so maybe the leftovers will still be good.
Dinner is served.
It looks so good.
I'm so excited and so hungry.
Woo!
I wonder where I'm going this weekend.
Packing for Athens.
We're headed out in the morning.
I'm so excited for a game day weekend.
Also, our new frame just came in.
It looks black in this camera right now, but it's a dark brown.
It matches the dresser perfectly, and I like this so much better.
That's all for now.
I'm going to end the vlog here.
I hope you guys enjoyed.
I always love making these vlogs, and I just appreciate you guys sticking around in the
world of TikTok and Instagram and podcasts and everything else.
Obviously, I have a podcast.
Listen to it.
It's the Gals Only Go podcast, but I really appreciate that you guys are so loyal and
stick around.
I love you guys so much, and I'll see you guys next week.
Bye!
