I am Hervé de Malessi, associate of the Le Nail office.
Hello everyone, I am happy to welcome you on behalf of the owners at the Château de Cerisay.
The Château de Cerisay is located in the Sartre department,
easily accessible by the TGV and the motorway,
and famous for its famous 24 hours of snow.
We are in the north of the Sartre department,
in a wonderful region called the Alpes-Manselles.
It is a famous region with pronounced reliefs,
wonderful villages, alternating forests and rivers.
The Château has retained its initial volume.
However, it has been deeply remodeled in the 18th and 19th centuries,
notably by the enlargement of the openings,
which make it much more pleasant to live in.
Now, let's discover the interior.
We are in the entrance,
which is characteristic of the later developments that were carried out.
We find a nice tiled floor, which was made in the 19th century,
but the ceilings have been preserved in the original French style.
Previously, this space was not partitioned.
It was used to make a pleasant entrance,
which gives direct access to the garden.
We are now in the Grand Salon,
where we can see the benefits of the 19th-century developments.
With its large openings, it is a very clear room,
with a lantern, that is, with double exposure.
We find beautiful oak parquets,
and you have noticed the quality of the gray marble chimney
and the woodwork that covers the walls of the Salon.
The Grand Salon is followed by a pleasant office,
which itself has direct access to the outside.
On the other side of the entrance, to the east,
we find the dining room.
The dining room is very pleasant in size.
It can accommodate about twenty people.
It also has a nice decor,
with a nice wooden fireplace.
The dining room is obviously right next to the modern kitchen,
which was set up here on the right,
and the old kitchen, which we will see later,
the large terrace, which is on the left.
On the rear side,
we have access to the tower, the oldest tower in the castle,
where you will find a very defensive work.
Here is the announced room, which is in this tower,
probably the oldest.
And we see this defensive work with the thickness of the walls,
the small openings, and the grids that protected this opening.
We now go into the kitchen.
It was set up in a room,
an old service room,
an old part of the castle.
We can see this superb monumental granite fireplace,
with a pastry oven on the left.
In the extension of the kitchen,
we have this probably old kitchen,
where we find two ovens,
which were hidden,
and an even older floor,
which was made of stone.
To know that for the housewives,
the previous room was much more pleasant.
But this one has retained a lot of character.
It allows you to be fresh,
and above all, to access the terrace,
to be able to have meals outside,
in a very pleasant way.
Here is one of the most important rooms in the castle,
because we are in France.
This is the case.
Beyond its content,
it has retained its defensive works,
with grids,
all the more important
because it contains wine.
And it is interesting
because it is a witness
to the original architecture,
with its vaulted ceilings
and its chained closings.
This room has been set up
in a very comfortable way,
you could believe
in an English pub,
with its billiards table,
its fireplace,
which today is used with a nice stove,
nice stone floors,
and chained closings.
This room is largely illuminated
by its large openings,
which have been remodeled
in a contemporary way,
in a way
that goes very well
with the old architecture.
This room is located
at the end of one of the castles,
and constitutes an entrance
for this apartment,
which could be independent.
It is located
on the side of the castle's entrance,
and serves as a room
for the ground floor,
which is always precious
in a castle.
Here is a very modern
At the top of the floor,
there is a beautiful
granite staircase,
which is used for the construction
of a theater.
Each piece is a block of stone
which is superimposed
to make this beautiful staircase.
We propose to show you
a few rooms,
of the seven existing rooms
on this floor,
and the four rooms
on the second floor.
Here is a beautiful room,
comfortable,
luminous,
which offers a very nice view
of the countryside.
It is decorated with interior tiles,
which allow
it to have total darkness
and to be able
to sleep late.
Here is another room
with a very different atmosphere
from the previous one,
with its painted woodwork
and its wooden chimney.
A new room,
very cute,
also very different,
typically 18th-century,
with its alcove.
In the past, the bed
was not arranged like this,
but it was in this flat direction,
closed to preserve
the heat,
and on both sides.
Today, we have
a pantry and a small
toilet.
We go down
through this nice
staircase,
between the kitchen
and the dining room.
We are on the floor
of one of the apartments
where this nice room
which is 150 square meters,
which can be used as a game room,
a showroom
or an artist's studio,
because it is largely lit
by natural light.
