One of the Danish royal properties, the King's palace or castle at Rosenborg. Within the grounds are a number of statues including one of Hans Christian Andersen, and the castle itself is authentic, houses the crown jewels and despite it's age, has wifi and a digital tour that you can read from your phone.

welcome to the Kings garden designed by
Christian the fourth in 1606 Renaissance
style it sits outside the king's palace
there are beautiful statues all over the
King's garden and this is one to their
favorite son Hans Christian Andersen's
Queen Caroline Amelie 1796 - 1881
looking out over her rose garden
rosenberg castle houses some of
Denmark's greatest treasures including
the crowns and the crown jewels let's
take a look the tickets have an entrance
time and they're very strict on that
they won't let you go in a few minutes
earlier and also you have to check your
bag in doesn't matter how small it is
you have to put it in a locker we've
seen this tradition before in the Baltic
where the walls are covered with
paintings and the paintings have to be a
certain size to fit in although this is
an old castle you can use your modern
technology here there's free Wi-Fi and
there's a tour on your phone this is the
bus of Christian the forth it's numbered
and you can check it out here
this is Christians writing room where he
carried out all his correspondence and
it's been preserved intact this is
Christian's bedroom and he had an
ensuite bathroom over there as his
toilet this is the dark room originally
separating the Kings apartments from the
Queens apartments and that chair was a
torture chair so it was constructed to
hold down the guest on the armrest and
so they could be scolded by water
[Music]
this is the golden room
it's originally the living room and the
fireplace is from
[Music]
this is Fredrik the fourth corridor
[Applause]
this was originally Christian the fourth
chamber where he would hold in former
audiences this was where Christian the
fourth held audience
princess Sophie head effect was also
given a room to meet her friends in and
this is it and this was princess Sofia's
bedroom
the flooring inside this circle is the
original flooring and so it's protected
this is Frederick the hallström and the
tapestries were woven in Berlin
[Applause]
this is Kristen the 7th all and this is
a portrait of the King in his coronation
regalia this is Frederick the full
strung and this is Frederick with his
family
Christian the 8 through
and this is Frederick the seventh room
furnished for comfort and homely mess
they say and this is the corridor
leading to the bronze room the Great
Hall is a very impressive room to visit
in the castle there's a throne at each
end of the Great Hall they've never been
here at the same time before this one
was used for audiences and on the wall
are twelve tapestries depicting
Christian the fifth Spectras these are
the Thrones at the other end of the hall
and the Queen would sit on the white one
apparently this is the only room of its
type in the world and Frederic reports
visited Venice and walked back is
glassware the porcelain cabinet features
porcelain from China and Japan
and there's no wheelchair access is just
a spiral staircase up so bear that in
mind we're now in the basement and this
room was used for the weapons and the
wine
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
and in the Treasury is the crown jewel
[Music]
this is a great place to visit but it is
on three floors and there are no lifts
so bear that in mind
