Hello everyone, welcome to home cooking with me Hema Subramanian.
Today we are going to see a wonderful pulao recipe.
This is egg tawa pulao.
This is very popular street food and it can be made very easily with very simple ingredients.
This is a meal by itself and it's absolutely delicious.
So let's get started and check out the recipe.
So today we are going to do this very special street style anda pulao.
This is a very nice big iron skillet here.
Add about 2 tbsp of oil, 2 large onions that have been finely chopped.
Once the onions are transparent and turning to a nice golden color, add 2 green chillies
chopped, 2 medium sized tomatoes chopped.
Next add 1 and a half tsp of ginger garlic paste.
To this add 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp coriander powder,
1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder.
Mix everything together.
After sautéing for about 2 minutes, add 1 tbsp of fresh chilli paste.
You can also add chilli powder.
To get the masala cooking, I'm going to add about 3 fourth cup of water.
Keep the flame on medium low and cook the masala for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Once the masala is cooked, I'm going to crack open 6 eggs into the pan.
Increase the flame to a medium and continue to cook the eggs along with the masala.
So the eggs will take about 5 to 8 minutes to cook.
So you can add a little bit of oil at intervals, just to make sure the masala is cooked and
it doesn't stick to the tawa.
So if you can see the eggs are cooked, it's absorbed all the moisture.
When it's a little moist, add the rice because as you mix the rice, it's going to absorb
all the flavors.
I've cooked 1 cup of raw basmati rice, that's a 250 ml cup.
Start mixing the rice along with the egg masala.
Increase the flame to a medium.
That looks absolutely incredible.
You can see the rice is absorbing all the juices.
Keep the flame on low and cook the pulao for about 5 minutes.
Make sure to mix it at intervals.
Finally, I'm going to finish off by adding a generous amount of chopped coriander leaves.
Turn off the stove.
This delicious egg tawa pulao, that is the anda pulao is ready to be served.
Make sure you serve it nice and hot.
So I'm going to serve a fried egg with the pulao.
For this, take a pan, add a little oil, just crack open the egg, sprinkle some salt, pepper
and chili powder.
Once the egg is cooked on one side, flip it to the other side.
Remove the fried egg and you can serve it nice and hot with the pulao.
So there you go, here is this incredibly delicious egg tawa pulao.
Now if you see from the recipe, I've used this nice big iron skillet to make this pulao.
But you can use a regular pan at home if you don't have one.
And you can enjoy this pulao as is.
I've served it with some nice fried egg by the side.
So do try this recipe, enjoy and share it with your family and friends.
