Family is the closest thing around you.
Travel, different places. It helped me like meet new people, play in different states. Like,
like if I wasn't like doing basketball, I don't know who I would be like while,
while basketball, to be honest with you.
Any parent is just happy to visit any college that is looking at their kid.
My name is Trey Edwards and I'm from St. Louis and I'm 2028.
Like, I feel I'm just way better overall. Like, I got bigger. I stay in the weight room. Like,
I actually love being there now. So, I got stronger. My vertical went up.
And I love like going to the basket like, and I shoot better. So,
I was shooting better than last year. So, I feel like I'm just a better,
better around player than last year.
Yes, sir.
I like your son gang. I told him he can come anytime. I like he compete.
Appreciate it.
Gotta have that coming from the Midwest, baby.
That water, that water.
Oh, yeah.
They ain't show the clips when they played that game when he had 23 and my man only had two.
So, what, hey, what team you play for?
Team Thad.
Ah, Team Thad, okay.
So, what grade are you in?
I just got to college.
Oh, dang.
Put your ID on, bruh.
Oh, that's tough.
If you want to be great, you definitely got to sacrifice just like,
just being a kid like social life.
Like, I get in the gym in the morning, go to school, we got practice in the morning,
we go to school, I train right after. Like, normal kid, they don't do that. They,
they hang around with their friends, go to friends' houses all the time.
I don't do that. Like, I got friends, but I stay in the gym. That's what I love to do. So,
that's what I'm trying to, I'm trying to play 80, 80 some games. So,
that's what I'm trying to do. So, I feel like social life should be like balanced,
just getting in the gym for real.
My name is Rashad Moore. I'm from Pontiac, Michigan.
I just moved here like four years ago and class of 2009.
We got the same bird. We tested it today.
We doing bird game today. I had 25, he had 24.
You 6'10". You're 6'5". You're supposed to have higher bird than me.
This is straight off bird too. No running. Me too, I did the same thing.
I got 25, you got 24. No.
This time last year, I was finishing up AB Elite. I was decent. Like, I was cool. Like,
I had a couple offers here and there. I used to put the work in still every single day.
My goal with coming to high school was getting a lot of offers, getting high major offers,
and being newcomer of the year. I always looked at that like, I want to be there,
and I actually did that. So, that's actually great. Now, I'm making new goals as we go.
Yeah, I started early, probably about five, six years old,
really focusing on his left hand. I always wanted him, when I find out, you know, people say like,
you can't force your kid early on. You can't do this. My approach was, I'm just going to
introduce him to the game of basketball, and I'm going to see if he likes it.
Obviously, he's five, six years old. He don't know what he likes yet. He's trying to figure
out everything too. So, I'm taking him to the gym. I'm playing with him. We having fun.
Then, a couple years later, I started like, oh yeah, he really likes it.
Yeah, like, all my life, I just did doing sports. I didn't really care about nothing else.
When I was young, I used to play the game all day, like Ninja Turtles, but every single day
was just basketball. After school, basketball. Before school, basketball. Really nothing. I had
to go to bed early just to wake up in the morning with J-Mo, Hadi, and my boys playing basketball.
So, my whole childhood was just based off like, an orange ball for real. So,
my dad would push me since I was younger. So, I'm just grateful for that.
Like, 30 minutes.
Come on, bro.
Name, class, where you from?
My name is Mustafa Mohammed, class of 2027. I'm from St. Paul, Minnesota.
You were like, ranked what?
Like, four. Four. I was at two, but they dropped me down to four.
Why'd you move to Texas?
Better opportunities. Better people out here.
I used to play baseball when I was younger too. Baseball for a couple of years right here. I did
soccer too. So, I was really young, really young. I didn't like those things more. I just
stayed to basketball. But while I was playing basketball, I used to do boxing a lot, a lot.
Like, with Coach Emil. I did like it a little bit, but it was actually great. It got me better
footwork. I learned how to defend myself too. So, it was definitely a benefit for sure.
But I say the main thing, as far as the training, was the skill development. Not trying to do
anything crazy at an early age, but just really focus on his shooting form, making sure he's
shooting the correct way, the proper mechanics, and the proper techniques for him to be successful.
Because me being a great shooter, I wanted to make sure he can shoot the ball the correct way,
and also being able to have a strong left hand. Even right now, he loves to even shoot with his
left. Like jump shots, threes. He can actually do it with good form. But some of his coaches
be like, Dad, I didn't know Trey could pass like that with his left hand. But it all started early
on. At like five and six years old, really working on two-ball dribbling,
and really focusing on those things. I think it's been important for sure.
All right. So, Shane Butler from Tupelo, Mississippi.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, but raised in the country, man. Tupelo, Mississippi.
Same move. I'm going to enhance that bump. Boom. I'm going to step with that pass.
Downhill. Same move you just did, right? Same one. Now, instead of driving, you're going to step.
Go this way, in between, hop, and get out.
Nice job. Nice. Good pace.
And football? Yeah, basketball, football.
What position do you play football? Quarterback. Quarterback and safety.
Yeah, yeah. I'll probably say like the athletes, way more, you know, way more higher level of
competition. And then, you know, it's always, everything's bigger. You know, school's way
bigger. Stadium's way bigger. You know, facilities, resources, all that's way bigger down here,
Texas. So, yeah, that's probably what I'll say. It's the biggest difference.
Oh, here. You go.
I don't personally know a lot, but I will say we got some tough hoopers up in Detroit, for sure.
You know, we got a lot of, the family, the family UIBL team, you know, Darius Acuff.
I forgot the other kid, but, you know, we got, we got a couple of good hoopers out of Detroit,
yeah. I never played for the family, nah. I played for, well, I had moved when I was like nine,
so I played for this team called Tri-County Cobras. And yeah, that was pretty much the
only team I played for when I was down there. What are you looking forward to most about this
season? Just, just the, the experience, you know, first high school season. So, you know,
just trying to, you know, take in all the scenery, you know, get used to, you know,
different schedules, stuff. Just be ready for the moment, for the most part. Yeah, that's pretty
much it. Favorite thing, the facilities. They got a lot of great facilities, resources, you know,
coaches great, you know, they always trying to get the players better. And yeah, they,
they really got a lot of good resources and good, it's just a good atmosphere in general.
I play for a team with that UIBL, you know, with that ish young. Yeah, that's pretty, yeah.
Them starter packets done, so I'm, I'm like over those.
I'm not going to win me right now.
That's 25. 24. That's 25.
So you heard 24.9.
Hey, hey, hey. Hey, remember, remember when I did that to you?
He does it like this. I did this. Hey, he jumped on me. He jumped on me. He jumped on me. You're
16, bro.
Bro. Next week, I got that.
Bro, you had more than better.
You can't even find me. How you gonna find her? On her ankle, bro. Come on, that don't even count.
I didn't know if I come to the game tomorrow, you better have three touchdowns.
Okay, come on.
All right, I was touching the rim. I originally touched it, but if you can dunk it. I can't do it.
Okay, I'll just do it.
Yeah, but not the bottom. Try to get the front of the rim.
25, Tray. That's four.
Come on, back to back. Five. That's five.
I usually get out of school, come home, chill, probably get my phone, watch TV.
I just really chill, and after that, I come here, 545. I get in the gym. I do a lot of recovery
stuff, and then I start doing dribble handling, and now I get my workout with my dad.
How often have y'all been coming to the gym? Every single day, to be honest. 24-7, 24-7.
Shane said that you were hurt, and then you're still trying to work out and stuff. Talk about the injury.
Yeah, I was hurt. I got hurt in Florida. I messed up my groin, my hip flexor. I was mad. I
wanted to play, so after that, I just stayed wanting to get in the gym, even though I was hurt.
Doing the little things. I took a couple breaks, but I wanted to get back to it so bad, so I was
just in the gym. What do you feel like the workouts have been doing for you? It's really been
helping me get more confidence in the game. Usually, all this training, my dad just like
doing all this. It really built up my confidence in the game, so I can do more in the game,
over what my dad's teaching me. Shane said they feel like this is kind of like your sanctuary.
Yes, all I do is be in the gym. I love it. Not like my dad is making me come to the gym.
I want to come to the gym. How was it getting a workout with your dad?
Good. Some days, it'd be rough, but he's always hard on me. He wants the best for me, so
I just really love him. I thank him for that.
Yeah, my boy Rashad. That's my boy Mu. They and Melissa. They and Melissa this year. They nice.
Super nice. Name, class, where you from? My name is Gustaf Muhammad, class of 2027. I'm from
St. Paul, Minnesota. You're from Somalia? Somalia. 100% Somalia. Is basketball big back home?
Not really. I wouldn't say it's really big, but there's some people trying to
get up, get out of there, for sure. How'd you get into basketball? Me, definitely my big brother.
He was a hooper, so just kind of watching him grow up. It was really eye-opening. I could
really make it out of here with basketball. It's definitely way more competitive. There's
definitely more dogs out here. It's way harder, for sure. Minnesota got some sleepers, too.
I don't sleep on Minnesota stuff out there. What's your day-to-day routine look like right now?
It's really morning. I got practice in the morning. I go to school, get out around four.
I lift right after school, and then I chill for a little bit, and I go right back to work.
I don't know. It depends on what time I get done lifting, but I go to the gym and work out with
Shane. What are the workouts with Shane like? It's really a lot of motor, like energy stuff,
a lot of shooting. Great shooter, so I have to learn a lot from him with shooting.
So it's a lot of shooting, a lot of finishing, a lot of footwork.
It really depends on what I need or what he's seen from me in the game.
They're dogs. Watch out for them. Move, probably average like 15 this year.
6'10". This dude's big time on TikTok now. How'd he get so big on TikTok?
Post like 99 videos every day. If you post so much, you're bound to get like a couple.
I got a burner account just to hate on this dude.
We're doing it, bro.
Not doing that.
You gotta do it.
I don't know this.
All right, get out there.
Come on, bro. You don't need no chain.
I know you're not talking, bro. You getting full dressed just to do a TikTok, bro.
I'm wearing my trainer fit.
No, you're not. You're putting on a spider.
Every designer brand out there, you're putting on for a TikTok.
You get dressed up for your TikTok?
No, I do not.
Yes, he does, though. Yes, he does.
Hey, it's just dress up. I just did a random TikTok and I still went viral.
A military shirt and some regular.
Go to it. Go to it. Now, scroll down.
Now, scroll down. Just scroll down.
Look at all the fit. Look, come here. Look at all the fit. Look at all the fit.
Hey, you're right.
Every last one got this on. Every last one.
All right, come on.
So everyone, a lot of people say, like, y'all be making TikTok and y'all be locked in.
But what's the truth behind that?
I'll be locked in all the time.
I just I've been doing TikTok my free time for posting every day.
I'm trying to get to like 50K by the end of next year.
How long would you say you spend making TikTok?
Not that long, to be honest.
Probably like 10 minutes a day, five minutes a day.
But making TikToks, on TikTok a lot, though.
It's not like you guys are on it for like an hour.
Nah.
Just make it real quick. Post it. Don't take long.
Don't look at me. My only hobby is hooping.
I don't do all that Asian ----, though.
He's just trying to.
He's just trying to gain aura, bro.
I do. I make TikToks when I make it.
Why can't you do a TikTok?
I just did it.
You gotta make it. You gotta do it now.
Huh?
I ain't making it.
Probably my most borrowed.
I got a pen.
Like, I got like 900K views, 100K likes.
It was, it was like, I forgot what it was talking about.
I was talking about, like, give back.
I can show you.
I can't really explain it.
I just, like, made it up.
Also the slide posts.
Those are like pictures.
Yeah, pictures.
And you just put music.
Yeah, put music.
Yeah.
And that one got 900K.
900K.
How many followers do you have now on TikTok?
12K.
I really just started, like, January.
Like, literally after my birthday, I literally just started, just like,
I'm about to just start, like, posting for real.
So I've been doing that ever since.
Yeah.
What you got going on this weekend?
This weekend, I got a Mizzou visit.
I think Mizzou football game.
I'll have training with my friends for real.
Oh, you gonna hang out with some of your friends right now?
Yes, sir.
Yeah.
Oh, you used to talk to people back in the career?
Yeah, a lot of people.
My boys.
Yeah.
Uh, I just came back from...
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
I forgot.
I forgot, but I just came back from Kyrie Cam.
It was great.
Great experience.
Kyrie just teaching us how to be more physical
and getting shots up in the game.
He's really just watching a film with him, too.
Just, like, him, like, picking the stuff that we need to work on, too.
So it was really good being at the camp.
It was elite.
Yeah, how many people were there?
Like, 12 top players in the country.
Only 12?
Like, 12, 15, probably.
Not a lot.
And you was invited?
Yeah.
Who all was up there?
Both Kings.
I don't know if you know them.
CB3.
Yeah, him, Beckham,
Boba.
Boba was there.
Yeah, five stars.
Nah, probably like a four.
Top 30.
But I'm gonna catch you tomorrow.
He'll be here.
Okay, Beck.
Yep.
You have a dog?
Yeah.
Really simple for real.
Really simple.
But the stuff I got from Kyrie Cam.
Here's one right here.
Yeah, really nice.
I got the shoes over here.
We got three.
We got these.
Oh, those are tough.
Yeah.
I could put some fits together with them.
But we got two basketball shoes.
Which is these.
These right here.
Oh, yeah.
I mess with them.
Yeah, those are tough.
He wore them.
I seen him.
Yeah, I need to get one of these.
Where you wear these from?
TikTok?
I don't know.
My dad's got a whole bunch in his room.
For his shoes too.
So I have these.
He's some solid.
These are better traction than them though.
Than the brown ones?
Yeah.
They feel better to me.
So the Anxious got good traction like Kobe's?
Yeah.
I like Kobe's better.
I always play.
I got EYBLs and Kobe's and stuff.
What's your top three shoes?
Probably these.
For sure.
These right here.
I used to.
No, those Indiana Fevers.
Those my second.
I just training them.
They downstairs.
But I'll say my top three right here.
And these.
The opposite.
I love these.
I love playing these.
I don't lie.
The Jones?
Yes.
I don't want them now.
He is one of the best shoes ever.
And then.
My next one.
Probably the PJ Tuckers.
PJ Tuckers?
I've been wanting since I was a kid.
I like to bring these out.
Every once in a while.
I switch up my shoes.
What's your rarest shoe?
Rarest shoe?
Yeah.
Probably.
This is hard.
Probably these kind of rare.
I was just looking at those.
Yeah.
You can't really find these too much.
These.
A little hard to get.
Unless you get a rep or something.
But I don't get reps.
Yeah. What are those?
These.
Nah. These are Kobe.
These are a little rare.
Kind of.
What's that color called?
It's like Chinese.
Like Yoki.
Something like that.
It's like weird.
That's tough.
Yeah.
They barely fit.
I used to wear these all the time.
But they got beat.
I need a new version.
Oh, these are rare too.
A lot of people be on my TikTok.
Commenting these are fake.
It's funny.
Why they say they're fake?
Because these like.
I forgot where I got them from.
My dad got surprised with these.
But you don't see these like ever.
What colorway is that?
It's like the Mamba Blackout or something like that.
He's like the P.E.'s.
I think my dad got them customized for me.
Something like that.
Oh, wow.
These are probably my exclusive.
For real.
Did you get EYBL shoes this year?
Because you were 15.
Nah. They didn't get 15U.
But I traded with Austin.
He on my team.
He got me these.
These.
Yeah.
I be wearing shoes.
We wear the same size.
He gave me that.
For real.
But I just got these.
I just traded.
I mess with these heavy.
I don't know why.
I mess with these heavy though.
I don't know why I mess with them.
They have really nice shoe collection for real.
I got other chill shoes in here too.
Just like sneakers for real.
Casuals.
Casual.
I love Balenciagas.
I got two pair.
I might get more.
Little Balenciagas.
These are kind of exclusive.
What are those?
The Cos.
Wait. The who's?
Is it called Cos?
I forgot what it's called.
But tough.
I've never seen that before.
Yeah.
I don't wear them like that.
I got these Travises over here.
Travises?
Yeah.
Keep these clean.
Suede is different.
Yeah.
I keep them clean.
EYBL.
GT Cuts.
Man, the GTs were also a really good shoe.
Yeah. I need the orange and black ones though.
I need them.
And then, uh, dang.
They just.
Basketball is fun.
I don't like being serious all the time when I'm like hooping.
So it's good like being good enough to like travel different places.
Travel to places like it helped me like meet new people.
Build friendships.
Play in different states and like traveling has been great.
I've been seeing a lot of new cities.
Right. You're right.
If I wasn't like doing basketball, I'd probably be in like Dallas.
Probably actually be in St. Louis.
In St. Louis.
So as soon as you get back, you got coaches coming to see you.
Yep.
Him and Mufasa.
Look at how it is.
Mom, you seen this before?
I've never seen this.
You say you're excited?
Yeah, like I said with me.
I would sleep all, all the way to the plane.
That's why I upgraded my flight.
You slept in?
Yeah, since I got in the plane.
Straight out.
I ain't gonna sleep last night.
Really?
I had to go to sleep.
I probably, I did like a 10 minute.
Huh?
I went to sleep by 10 minutes.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, tomorrow.
Oh, so his visit is just one day.
So we're going to Mizzou today.
Of course.
And then St. Louis University tomorrow at 11 o'clock.
Oh, okay.
Gotcha.
Knock out two birds with two.
Corey Tate was my old coach in college.
Oh, tough.
Yeah, yeah.
So now he's recruiting my son.
So it's pretty cool.
It's a pretty cool trip.
You think like, everyone says rankings don't matter.
Do you think, do you like look at rankings?
Does it mean something to you?
It really don't.
Like rankings, offers, nothing.
Like NIO, it don't matter until you get on the court.
It don't matter at all.
If you get on the court and do something.
You show, like you show who you really is.
Nah, probably like a four.
Top, top 30.
Top 30.
I'm, I'm really top 15.
I need to be in the top 15.
I'm here to get.
Man, there's no hate, but I just feel like I'm better.
But it's, I'm in the gym every day.
So it's going to, it's going to build up to that though.
We're going to take it.
From that chair being over there.
And then that little thing, glow thing right there,
that light glow, it's going to go where their plan is.
And I gave him a rub.
Because I didn't have time to try to sell it.
Giving away was just as hectic.
It was crazy trying to give that away.
Because everybody was calling and then they said it was going to come.
You'll have to go straight to go to whatever gate you're supposed to be in.
They only let Jay turn here.
Okay.
This is going to be for you guys to get you guys in.
Okay.
I'll follow you guys in the golf cart and I'll bring you guys back down.
Okay, buddy.
All right.
Thank you.
I'm from St. Louis, Missouri.
I'll describe it as like, it's calm.
It's like not too many people and a very nice place.
I live in the suburbs from LA.
It was a nice place.
Luka Burden.
Who?
Luka Burden.
Luka Burden?
Who's that?
NFL.
He got drafted.
He's like my cousin.
Oh, he's like your cousin?
Basically, yeah.
Oh.
I knew him for a long time.
He's been here a lot.
Watch the game.
There's the boss.
How are you?
Kyle.
Nice to meet you.
Everything, big dog.
Okay.
Big time.
We're going to do it right.
All right.
I'm trying to get the daddy weight off.
My God.
You got any secrets?
Let me know.
Sheesh.
Man, you growing again?
Are you still?
I should say.
Actually, let's do this.
Let's go this way.
We got the elevator right here.
Okay.
First, we'll show you the arena from up here.
So you actually been over here before?
Yeah.
Have you really?
It's like time to, I used to watch Luka Burden.
Okay.
Great.
Do you get to come over and watch the actual football game?
You ever see him play outside of 2K?
You know what's crazy?
The amount of guys that come in that literally say that they played with Mizzou
on college football because of work.
It's wild.
Like all these dudes.
Like, oh, yeah, I'll play with him.
So he's been with me.
He played for my basketball organization since he was in seventh grade.
Yeah.
I actually loved it back home.
All my friends and family.
They was really cool.
Like all like seeing them.
I just went back.
Seeing them was very nice.
All my family's down there too.
So it was great seeing my grandparents.
Moving to Dallas was like a great opportunity for me.
Like in St. Louis, I didn't get a lot of exposure.
When I moved to Dallas, I got like way more exposure.
Just playing a game I love.
So it was probably the best thing I've ever done, to be honest with you.
I was like, I was like nervous, but I was excited.
My dad was telling me all about it.
Like what's going to happen.
Like we'd be training every day.
It was very like, I was very nervous, to be honest.
Because like all the like, I made new friends.
Like being in a different state.
Like it was very weird.
But like I got a hang of it.
And I actually love it way better down here.
I'm looking forward to, you know, just any parent is just happy to visit college.
Any college that is looking at their kids.
So I'm just looking forward to just visiting any school that's interested in him.
I really want Trey to, you know, go to college and finish college.
But also, you know, play the sport that he loves.
So it's just exciting for him to be able to have options of where he want to go.
And I'm just enjoying the journey with him.
Let me get a picture real quick.
Takes the bounce off of the leg.
So this is just men's and women's basketball.
It's great.
Next time you guys come in too, we'll get you a juice.
A few weight rooms that actually incorporates basketball movements in the weightlifting.
Simulations of rebounding or whatever it may be.
Just to, you know, give the scope of a basketball.
You know, defensive slide, jump, block a shot.
So we incorporate that.
Juice is great.
Have you doing pull-ups on these bad boys here?
So get those grip strength right.
Yeah.
Get out there, mom.
What you got?
Come on.
So we'll put him on the try.
We'll put him on the try.
Take it.
Rip, you know, ripping the ball down, ripping it out.
Come on, Trey.
Let me show you.
It's not easy.
Like, you'd be surprised.
There you go.
Lock it right here.
There you go.
Now you can pull up.
Now pull.
Yeah.
Look at this bag.
That's the stuff.
Let me try the lock your fingers.
Let me see.
It can't be that.
Oh, man.
Come on.
Yeah, it ain't worth it.
I'm not gonna do it.
Oh, man.
Who's gonna do that?
I'm not gonna do it.
You got that, didn't you?
Yeah.
You're not able to do this.
I'm not, but I can't do it.
Oh, no.
That's, yeah.
I'm not worried about it.
That's tough.
But that's a hard workout right there.
If you can do that, you're strong.
Oh, next time.
Hey, next time we come in.
Okay, I'm gonna give you a challenge here.
If I can do more pull-ups than you, you gotta commit.
A deal?
Is that fair?
I'll give you some of that.
Yes.
So this is great, too.
We do, uh, we have, um, two, um, this guy's testing verticals.
What is strong?
What's weak?
What are you favoring?
What you're not?
So then, like, Juice would be able to go in and tell CP, like, hey, uh, came in today,
and, you know, his right leg was at a 22.
His left was at a 17.
He said, you know, make sure you check his left hip, his left knee, left ankle.
And lo and behold, you'll see that the mobility of his left ankle might be weak.
His knee might have some, you know, tendonitis, whatever it be.
So it's a really, really good tool we're able to use now.
What's nice, too, is, uh, and we're getting it directly from the NBA.
Like, what's new, what's upcoming.
Train room.
Normal techs for days.
Yeah, a lot of normal techs, a lot of the easy guys.
Here's our wet room over here.
Mizzou did a great job.
So every guy gets this.
They get a bottle.
We also assign a GA and a manager to you.
So anytime you want to come and shoot, you call your GA and manager.
They got to come up with you.
So you come up, you got a key for it any time.
The main arena is also open, so you can go in there and
get shots in the main any time it's available, too.
So what'd you think, mama?
Not bad?
Gym wrestling.
Yeah.
The front of it, it'll say Missouri Tigers 2025.
But on the back of every banner, he puts everyone's name and number.
As he says, where people screw up is they have the school and the year,
but no one's name ever gets on the banner.
I'm putting every single person's name on every banner we put up in this gym.
So when they bring their kids back, you go to the back side of it.
Look, there's your name and your number when you're there.
Yeah, pretty cool.
This is a one-stop shop.
Like training room, weight facility, locker room, main arena, practice facility,
coaches' offices.
It's all right here.
It's amazing how sporadic a lot of places are with their facilities
and how spread out they can be.
This is here.
Practice gym is here.
Main arena is here.
It was so just spread out.
They had their training room three floors down from where the practice facility was
in the basement.
So it allows our guys to maneuver.
So the Batsy, which is across the street, we have our GAs and managers,
and Juice.
Juice gets a meal plan every morning for breakfast through lunch.
And they'll just go get them.
And so in the locker room, which we'll go in there and show you in a minute,
they just have a buffet for their breakfast every single morning.
They go sit down.
They don't have to go pick it up.
So it's right there.
We got a picture of you guys on the floor.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
Ah, that's great.
I appreciate that.
Thank you.
You're very welcome.
16,000.
Actually, 15,900, I think is the exact number.
So they just redid the seats a year ago.
They blacked them out.
They wore gold.
If they want to call them gold.
I don't know what color mustard, but I thought they were Illinois guy.
But they blacked it out.
I mean, it looks like an NBA arena now.
Like, it literally looks like it changed everything.
They still get cost of attendance.
They're still getting, like, $2,000 a month of cost of attendance.
Like, take that in and out, put it in a 401k, put it in a holiday.
Put it on all tax-free.
And then they'll be 30 years old and be done working.
I mean, just crazy.
Go be a teacher and a coach and, like, coach some ball.
Have benefits and just live it up.
That's why I asked this.
It's nice.
I mean, honestly, you think about the optimization of how important sleep is.
So they work out.
They're going to drive 10 minutes back to their apartment, hang out, get ready, shower.
They drive, like, 10 minutes back.
It's 20 minutes.
Well, shoot, you can just lay right here.
By the time you drive to drive back, and what the study shows, you can get a 35-minute type
of nap.
You know, that's all you really need.
So it's allowing them just to have the ability just to lay down.
So here it is, man.
I know Eric Rhodes, dude.
Why don't you say, Eric Rhodes?
Yeah, you know him?
Yeah, he's been great.
He's gained, yep, one of Pep's guys, yep.
He's been, he's gained 12 pounds since the summer.
Okay.
He's been great.
Okay.
Really good.
Javon's been awesome.
Hey, man, appreciate it.
Safe travels back.
We'll be in touch.
All right, man, go home and see you, buddy.
Nice seeing you, man.
Hey, safe travels.
We'll be back in six hours, man.
For sure, for sure.
He's definitely a gym rat.
He loves being in the gym.
He's still got a lot of room to grow and get better.
So that's the good part.
Man, and even with his transition, he excelled in his transition to leave from one state
to another.
That's a big adjustment for a young man.
And even the circuit that he's on now, he's excelling in that.
And when he makes his USA team, it's really going to be all over.
You know what I'm saying?
We praying.
I hope you do make this thing.
Yeah, he gonna make that.
He come with that.
Come on.
He gonna make that.
They don't even have them.
Oh, the key to balance.
Combo.
They lucky they don't have the trolls.
Bottom five.
I don't mess with her.
It's real.
There's real freak.
You've seen that.
You don't want to put the two hour.
Oh, I forgot.
How many businesses?
I mean, yeah, basically the second.
Good.
I didn't teach you.
Kinda.
So I didn't take no pictures.
Yeah, this is my first real unofficial one.
I had the photos and stuff.
How many business you got right now so far?
I got maybe Arkansas.
I got Tennessee.
That should be it.
My dad probably got more.
That should be it.
That's it.
Oh, that's a deal.
So at least four.
Yeah, at least four.
That's my thing.
Two hour drive now, bro.
Two hour drive.
When do you start back up?
Uh, like November?
November one.
We got our hands full.
A little under the weather.
And if not, we'll see you somewhere on the journey.
Terry, great to see you.
All right, good evening.
Love you, man.
Love you, too.
Theo, good to meet you.
All right.
In Newtown in St. Charles.
And it's like a really cute community where all the houses almost kind of like all look alike.
And then they have all these little restaurants and places people can hang out on the weekend.
So it's like a really nice town.
Angie, she has a restaurant here called the District Social.
Oh, she owns her own restaurant?
Yeah, so we're going to go check out her restaurant.
This one?
Is this close to where y'all used to live?
Um, it's not that far.
We used to live in O'Falun.
Family is the closest thing around you besides God.
It's like the best circle you can have.
Loved ones.
Loved ones that you cherish every single day.
So it's great to have that in my life.
So how long have you been here in DFW?
Like three weeks, maybe three and a half, two and a half.
Oh, so you just got here?
Yeah, fresh, fresh.
So who do you like?
Who do you like?
Where have you been playing basketball at?
Like any runs?
Yeah, he's taking me anywhere to get anywhere to get a good hoop session.
And I go to, I go to dad's house.
I get a workout in there.
It's one private gym I go to.
He just works me out there.
Some LA Fitness runs.
Just go to camps, try to hoop.
Any five-on-five I can get.
Any runs I can get.
I definitely, I definitely just try to go.
So do you have any like goals for yourself this season?
Just become better, you know.
Just way better.
That's the only goal.
Pick up offers.
Get my name out there, you know.
Definitely become one of the best out here.
Yo, he scored like, what?
He scored 60.
When he was at Juco, he scored 60 on, I don't know.
Like, it was something crazy.
Something crazy like that.
Yeah, he dropped 60 like on Juco.
I think one was the, what was the all-time Juco leader score?
And then the other one was like, he was top three in all the pre-matches.
Yeah, it's going crazy.
They leaving?
One of them might be.
Don't want to say nothing.
Man move.
Yeah, he went to baseball at Kansas State.
Yeah.
The one that went to Catholic College.
Went to Auburn.
He went to Auburn?
I got my own.
Are they neat?
One of them.
One of them was better than the other.
I forgot which one it is.
I thought one of them was better than the other.
One more like more athletic.
I started, I can't tell.
Yeah, I can't tell.
One more crazy.
No, they, they train.
Like, they straight up train.
They from Nebraska.
With the Bulls?
Yeah.
Everybody might know who he is.
Do I know him?
Should I follow him?
You want some taping?
Get his camera?
You know?
We had the same bird stuff.
I was just hired.
You seen him before.
What's up, man?
You all right, baby?
Bro, ask who I had.
He beat you.
I, I fried him.
It was like 40.
He got 38.
Then he came back.
I'm here with my son.
I had like 38.
Huh?
I had his brother.
I don't know.
So, I don't know.
Yeah, so he's going to Auburn.
I don't know which one's better though.
Probably the Auburn.
Yeah, I think Auburn is more like better.
Yeah, Auburn is.
They're both nice.
They was, they was like,
didn't Dr. Baker ask him?
Hell, no.
They went Juco, right?
Yeah, they went Juco.
And then they, they, they transferred.
They was killing it.
Because they was.
I was at their camp.
They had a.
They was like him.
But like, only like 60, 62, 63, 53.
No, no, no.
They like 67.
Their biggest hit.
I'm telling you, their biggest hit.
But they grew.
Huh?
They, they must have grew.
They, they definitely grew.
But they always been like 65.
They nice.
I'm telling you.
They taller than you.
I was at the camp in Minnesota.
Trey, Trey, how tall is he?
He's 6'4 and a half.
6'5, what's your height?
I'm just kidding.
Let me see.
I'm definitely happy that you got to meet my cousin, man.
Because I speak highly of your son.
I definitely told him, hey man, that's, that's more than one.
Now, I like this staffer.
This is our, this is our first, well, second kind of visit of a school.
