Yeah, Sage!
Oh boy!
Oh wow, we're at 60 frames per second.
Tell him to drive faster so we can get it in slo-mo.
Hey, guys!
What's up?
What's going on?
I'm Chandler.
We're doing it.
Yeah, guys.
What are we doing today, Sage?
I know, we're on a little mission, really.
We are?
Yeah, we're on a little resurrection mission.
We're gonna send it.
So Sage hit me up the other day.
He said that he's found this old freeride feature
that Carson built in like 2014.
And I remember the video,
so I went back and I found it.
And I was like, oh yeah, that's what it is.
But it's like a drop off a rock, right?
Yeah, it's like a rampage style drop.
So it's like a drop,
and then it goes in,
you said it goes in like a skipper afterwards?
Yeah.
Cool.
Like a long and low?
We got some tools.
We got some bikes.
We've got wet dirt.
We're gonna resurrect this feature
and then ride it
Dude, do you know there's not a landing
like looking at that rock
as a kicker right there?
Or like if you hit it like this.
Oh, that'd be cool.
How's your angle?
Get it, dude.
You said.
Freeride Johnny.
Look at him go, dude.
Yeah.
There's a little one on top of that.
I think it's gonna be all right.
I mean, it seems kind of perfect.
But also like, well, do we need to?
Yeah.
Kind of what you're saying.
I think it's like
if you were to go a little bit long,
you're kind of getting into
a little bit of an uphill.
Is that what you mean?
Look how tall it is, actually.
Yeah.
Okay.
This is as short as you could possibly go.
And how many of me is that?
That's a good size drop.
Good couple.
3.5.
A good 3.5 cams.
One little like.
This kind of sticks out.
I don't think it's a bit of an issue.
This is like a chunk.
A piece of wood.
Yeah.
I think she's all right.
I didn't quite bury.
I think she's all right.
I think it's good.
It's too much speed.
Kind of scary.
And awesome.
But that's the thing.
Like, you roll up and it's just like,
Oh, this thing looks awesome.
And it's kind of scary.
The blindness.
It's such a blind lip
that it just makes it extra intimidating.
Whenever you can see the landing,
you're just like,
Oh, yeah, just jump right there.
But whenever you can't,
it adds a bunch of mental.
Nice, dude.
I always have a tendency
to go too fast on these things.
So I do an extra couple of run-ins
going like,
OK, you usually go too fast.
So what do you want to do?
That's the speed.
It's one of those things
where the extra run-ins,
you learn something each time
and as soon as you stop learning something,
go.
I'm going to pretend I've hit it before
and that I just know it.
I'm just going to drop in and be like,
Oh, yeah, I already know this thing.
And you have like all this more confidence
because you've convinced yourself
that you've ridden it before.
All right, I like that trick.
That's a trick we're going to use today.
Yeah!
I like intentionally went like nose down
so that it's like, you know, smoother.
But man, my ankle did not like that.
I figured I'd land on the rider's left.
There's that bump right there,
that like piece of wood.
We just kind of just took off rider's left
but then just faded rider's right
to the middle of the landing.
Yeah, Sage.
Oh, boy.
Oh, crap.
Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it.
Holy **** balls.
You good?
I'm good.
You all good?
Yeah.
Scary.
I'm going to do big ****.
Holy ****, Sage.
Like seriously,
it's too late for me to say anything,
but when I got in position to watch you,
I wanted to just be like, slow down.
I didn't crash immediately.
Dude, I'm so glad you held on
from that initial hit.
You like compressed fully into the bike
and then when you rebounded,
you were like back in control,
off line.
Oh, my goodness.
Yes, Sage.
We talked about how it's like
there's no exit.
Like you basically,
if you **** this up,
you just have to hit this kicker.
There's nowhere else to go
and I'm like thinking about that.
When I was like right here,
I was like,
well, there's nowhere else to go.
There was no way
you were steering that ****
back toward that left.
I wasn't going to hit the kicker,
that's for sure.
I think I squeaked off to the left.
Come on.
Yes, baby.
Fun, fun.
Yes, Sage.
Get it, buddy.
Yes.
Perfect.
Yes.
It's fun, huh?
That's good.
Even still,
I was like,
I felt way better about it,
but then I was like in the air.
It was like once I like
moved the bike in the air
and then I was like,
OK, I'm good.
I pushed it into the right spot,
but I was slow.
It's hard to get yourself
to go slow enough, for sure.
Yeah, right?
I mean, I feel like that was,
I felt like I slowed way down.
Oh, dude,
look at the seat right here.
It's like a nice little seat.
Oh, my God, it's scary.
Oh, it looks cool from right here.
Yeah, that's a killer shot, dude.
No way.
That's rad.
Bye-bye, travel.
Yeah, feel your suspension.
Squished.
Yeah.
It's not.
Land in the perfect spot
and still like,
I know.
Thank you, Sage.
That was a fun little session.
Thank you.
That was awesome.
Full success.
Is your video done now?
You got it in the can?
I mean,
we have a couple more things
that we want to do.
Sick.
But we're pretty darn close.
Well, BTS,
now you got to watch Sage's video
that'll be coming out
when they finish it.
And then,
and then,
we'll put like a link to it
or something.
Maybe we will.
I don't know.
We won't use any of this.
No, we won't use any of this.
We're probably not using
this outro anyways, either.
All right, we'll see.
But that was awesome.
Yeah, that was super fun.
Thank you, dude.
All right.
