The Hamilton Watch Company was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892.
From the very beginning, Hamilton built a strong reputation for precision and reliability,
producing pocket watches that became essential for the American railroad industry.
Back then, train schedules relied heavily on accurate timekeeping to avoid accidents,
so Hamilton's watches were known as the Watch of Railroad Accuracy.
During World War I and II, Hamilton supplied watches, chronometers, and navigation instruments
for the U.S. military, further proving their technical excellence and reliability.
Hamilton continued manufacturing pocket watches in the United States until about 1969,
when the original Lancaster factory was closed.
