Pam Bondi REACTS To Amy Poehler's Viral ‘SNL’ Impression
Did the president direct you to indict James Comey?
I'm not going to discuss my private conversations with the president.
I'm not telling you who said what, or who fell asleep in the middle of a sentence,
or who kept calling me Ivanka while patting his lap.
Pam Bondi is weighing in on Amy Poehler's Saturday Night Live impression of her.
After the comedian, who hosted the October 11th episode, impersonated the Attorney General
alongside fellow SNL alum Tina Fey, who played Department of Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem,
Bondi appeared to give her stamp of approval.
At SEC Noem, should we recreate this picture in Chicago?
Loving Amy Poehler, the 59-year-old wrote in a post on X.
The cold open was spoofing Bondi's testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.
In the skit, the Attorney General keeps being questioned,
and shortly after, Tina makes an appearance as Noem.
How can the president justify deploying troops against American citizens?
Ow!
Did you see that? He pushed me!
I did not.
He just called me a b****!
No, I didn't.
Now, why is the president sending troops to my home state?
To protect your people.
And I wish you loved Chicago as much as you hate President Trump.
How long you been working on that line?
Three full months.
You say that the troops are there to protect ICE facilities,
but why is ICE there in the first place?
I don't know.
You'll have to ask Homeland Security Director Christy Noem.
Well, she isn't here.
What if she is, though?
My God.
That's right, it's me, Christy Noem.
I spell my name with an I, because that's how I thought it was spelled.
And I'm the rarest type of person in Washington, D.C.,
a brunette that Donald Trump listens to.
The cold open then included a joke referencing Noem's previous confession
in her 2024 memoir that she once shot and killed her puppy,
who she reportedly called untrainable and aggressive.
I'm here to tell you that this Democrat government shutdown needs to end now.
Well, the Democrats are even more eager to end this shutdown
than our Republican colleagues.
Ha, that makes me laugh more than the end of Old Yeller.
When the dog gets shot?
Dogs don't just get shot.
Heroes shoot them.
Speaking of heroes, our government agents are working without pay.
Luckily, my boys at ICE don't mind.
They're in it for the love of the game.
And how did I find them?
By running ads like this.
Do you need a job now?
Yeah.
Are you a big tough guy?
Yeah.
Tough enough for the army or police?
No.
But do you take supplements that you bought at a gas station?
Daily.
Do you like to use zip ties because people in your life don't trust you with keys?
You know it.
Then buckle up and slap on some Oakley's Big Boy Welcome to ICE.
Does that answer your question?
No.
Not even a little bit.
Then our work here is done.
Though it does not appear that the former South Dakota governor has publicly responded as of October 13th,
DHS did repost part of a clip of Fayez Noem spoofing an ICE advertisement
before editing their own clips in to remove the rest of the jokes.
Thanks for the free advertisement at NBCSNL.
Get criminals out. Make history. Save America.
DHS wrote on their ex-account alongside a link with more information.
Poehler and Fay have teamed up over the years to play political figures,
including famously Poehler as Hillary Clinton and Fay as Sarah Palin.
