“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…” Romans 8:1
Satan will try to bring condemnation on you, especially when you go to pray. He’ll try to sidetrack you with thoughts of your past and where you’ve missed it. Satan knows that if he can get you to accept condemning thoughts that your faith won’t work and your prayers will be ineffective.
If you’ve done something wrong and haven’t repented yet. Do so! The quicker you repent, the quicker you will be forgiven and back in fellowship with God.
1 John 1:9 tells us “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When God forgives your sins, He also forgets your sins. He doesn’t bring up your past and rub it in your face.
If God chooses to forget your sins, shouldn’t you forget them also? Once you’ve repented, forgive yourself and live free – free from condemnation, worry, fear, and guilt. Live the life God has authored for you!

Let's turn to Joshua. I prayed and asked the Lord to help me for your sake
For the sake of the people I
Need the message and
He gave me a message. I believe that I know in my spirit that this message is for tonight
Because there are enough people that need it now this doesn't describe you and you don't think you need it
Just hang on to it for a day where you might need it. Yeah
In Joshua chapter 1. I just want to start here for a reason
Verse 8 says this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth
Let me ask you something if it's not departing meaning speak the word only
If it's not departing from your mouth, then there's no room left over for negative things
So let it not depart meaning keep it there continually, but you shall meditate in it day and night
That you may observe to do according to all that is written in it for then you will make your way
prosperous and
Then you will have good success
So we see this that it doesn't say God or Satan in this verse, but it says you
Know what God expects of people that have been saved for a while
Grow up
That's what he expects
He expects us to be doers of the word. Yeah, and if we're not you will not have good success. I
Got baby drool on my shoes
Fingerprints
Permanent stains for life on these fancy shoes, and it's so wonderful to be a grandmother
God expects us to grow up. Are you all awake?
I
Just read Joshua one for a reason we are to be doers of the word
Now being a doer of the word doesn't mean opposition never comes it doesn't mean trials don't come
Trials come to everybody as we live in Satan's domain
And he'll see to it that they come and especially the more you determine you're going to live for God and live by faith
The more he will come to oppose it. Don't think it an unusual thing that your faith is tried
Isn't that what Peter said
so many words
so when we're living for God when we're trying to advance we get opposed and
You know, I'd like to say that the longer you're saved the easier it gets
It's not that it's easier on the mind or the flesh, but you have answers and if you'll just use the answers. Yeah work
Now let's turn to Romans chapter 8 because you don't even know what I'm going to talk about yet
Romans chapter 8 and verse 1
Hallelujah, I
Hope I don't know if this is the feisty anointing
Feisty or get saved
Romans 8 verse 1 says there is therefore now no condemnation
To those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit I
Believe the Amplified says do not walk according to the dictates and the desires of the flesh
But according to the dictates of the Spirit
so
If you are really walking by the Spirit, you will not have a sense of condemnation
But you can be thoroughly saved in spirit filled and if you're walking according to the dictates of the flesh
You will end up with a sense of condemnation
This is important because we all get there's at one time or another in their Christian life where we can sense the condemnation and if you
Can't even quite put your finger on what it is. It's happening to you
It's likely that it's some form of condemnation
And we're going to talk about living free from condemnation and depression tonight
Now notice in this verse it says there's therefore now
No condemnation
Jesus Christ put an end to condemnation
It's not gonna be tomorrow or next week or next year if you're in Christ, it's now
You paid the price. I asked brother Isaac to sing that song amazing love tonight because it says, you know, you were condemned
I I'm forgiving you were forsaken. I'm accepted you were condemned
Jesus bore condemnation that was part of the substitutionary work
And you know, I sometimes I blame the Catholic Church for this
But the reality is you don't have to be a Catholic to be beat up with condemnation
Because everybody all you have to do is be an enemy of Satan
Because that's what he specializes in
Is sitting on your shoulder and beating you up
So condemnation is supposed to come to an end in our lives now
Now, that's right
Why because condemnation keeps our faith from working?
Yeah, when you're feeling beat up and condemned and low and like nothing works for me and I'm a loser
I'm a failure. Nothing I do is right. I can't seem to do it, right? So what's the use anyway?
I'm not gonna even try anymore
First of all, who gave you those thoughts? Yeah. Yeah, that's exactly what the devil wants is for you not to even try anymore
well
Those things rob you of confidence and it faith is confidence toward God
So your faith won't work. So then what's going to happen is you create a cycle where you keep getting what you're believing and saying
You feel condemned you feel like a failure talk like a failure you act like a failure you continue to have failure results
The condemnation and and I'm telling you it's just it's a serious problem
in the church
But especially in this hour, you know what they say
Huge percentage of people in this country and I don't know about worldwide
But I know in this country are on antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications
Well, you know Franklin my husband and I had discussed this before if we weren't saved in spirit filled we'd be drinking
Yeah, we'd probably be on some kind of medication because how else can you cope with this world? That's right
There's a really a line in the sand today
You're either gonna go with the world and be troubled or you're gonna get with Christ and become untroubled
But the real tragedy is when we're in Christ and we stop being doers of the word
And now we have to be treated like everyone else in the world
We feel like they do we turn to their methods
You know, the reason why a huge percentage of the church turned to liquor in the last couple decades is because they didn't stay full spiritually
When you're full spiritually, you're not looking for a fix
You know, I'd like to tell somebody who's saved and thinks well it's okay to drink
Was it your flesh that told you that or your spirit
Because I have inside information
I know the Holy Spirit and he never told anybody to go out and hit and get drinks
Because here's the thing, you know, like we had years ago
We ran into some pastors that were local at a restaurant. They were sitting at a bar with their guest speaker drinking
And I didn't say anything about it because I didn't have as much wisdom then as I do now anyway
But not that it would have mattered
But if you say to somebody well, why do you think it's okay to sit at the bar and drink and they'll always say well
We're not getting drunk. We're just having a drink
But then I would say well, what's so wonderfully delicious about that drink if you're just thirsty
Why do you just drink a soda or a water?
Well, I want this drink because if they're being honest about it, this drink will give me a buzz on my flesh
It's a flesh problem
Flesh problem, but this drink won't give me any buzz
So I choose this one and the reason I choose this one is because I'm letting the world know that my flesh is stronger than
my spirit right now
because if my spirit was full I
Wouldn't be doing that because the Holy Spirit in me would be grieved about it
When you know the Holy Ghost, you know that this kind of thing would grieve him because why would you substitute what he can do?
For you with what the world has to offer
And that's not just in the drinking realm that just came up as an example. It's in any realm. We don't want to substitute
Something for what the Spirit of God is supposed to be doing for us and the word is supposed to be doing
Because when you do that you weaken your faith. Yeah, and what is Hebrews?
116 say faith pleases God
So it's the Christian life is not about weakening our faith. It's about growing in faith
It's about pleasing God and not pleasing ourselves
The reason why the world is one of the reasons why the world is so depressed
Is there more self-centered than they've ever been and if all you do is get focused on yourself, you will be very depressed
We have to be focused on
pleasing a higher power the Lord our God and
Doing for others. That's where joy comes from
So we know condemnation keeps our faith from working well God
Never deals with his children
through the use of condemnation
So as soon as you start feeling condemned, it's either your own spirit condemning you which we have scriptural proof for or it's
Satan trying to condemn you and I would say he does that real well
So if you're feeling condemned it didn't come from God. He doesn't deal with his children that way
He doesn't correct us that way. He does not
Think about this does condemnation motivate
I've never known it to once
Condemnation deflates you and makes you feel like doing nothing
Well, how was God going to get anything accomplished in his kingdom if he tries to motivate his children?
Condemnation is of the devil
That word condemned
Actually means pronounced to be wrong
guilty and worthless
Sentenced to punishment or destruction
Wow, you can see now what Romans
Tells us and in chapter 8 there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ
Why because Jesus took our punishment?
He took destruction for us. So we're no longer sentenced to punishment or destruction
Glory to God he was condemned so I could be free
I'm accepted. He was condemned. Praise God
So if we yield to that sense of condemnation in our lives, what we're doing is forgetting what Jesus did for us
we're forgetting about the power of the blood and
That's unacceptable. We cannot treat the blood of Jesus as though it didn't purchase what it did
You know, we talk a lot in this church about we walk by faith and not by sight
Really what we're saying is we walk by faith and not by feelings
What you see what you hear what you feel?
But yet when that sense of condemnation tries to come on you, it's a feeling it produces a feeling
You know thoughts and feelings
Well, if you are going to live by faith
You're going to deal with that thought in that feeling when it comes just like you deal with other
Circumstances that come against faith and I know that it's easy to just sit in a chair and cave into it
That would be human nature, but that's not pleasing to God
you know faith requires effort on our part and
It's not the effort of paying the price for what we're believing for because we already have it
It's the effort of not letting the flesh rule
The flesh wants to rule
The flesh wants to have pity parties the flesh wants to crawl into bed and go to sleep and not think about the problems facing
And this is the kind of thing that God wants us to put our foot on the neck of that say no
I refuse to be mad at yeah, I'm forgiven
so
If you can't receive from God, you're really in trouble, aren't you?
We have to deal with this thing called condemnation
The devil is going to taunt you when you come to God in prayer. I found that
pretty regularly I
Mean because I talked about this from the pulpit before you can be busy about your day
And that's not usually when condemnation affects you because you're too busy, right?
But if you get quiet like you go to spend some time in the word in prayer, that's a prime time for the devil
Because you've quieted your mind you quieted your body and that those sinking feelings will try to come and make you feel like you're not worthy
You can't you didn't do everything right the last few days
You missed it here. You missed it there. You remember everything you did wrong when you go to pray and
That is a prime time for Satan to come and try to discourage you because that's a time
Where you're supposed to be walking with God and faith is supposed to be building inside of you
And if you do have requests you want them answered and that's the time you ask is when you're in the presence of God
So it's to keep you feeling unworthy to receive
Two things about condemnation number one. They cannot
condemnation cannot conduct faith
And number two, it will open the door to depression
We need to know this you start feeling beat up about everything you did wrong and it leads to depression
I'm telling you this is something that
Maybe it's not clicking yet. But if it starts to click I
Can see it so clearly
even just regarding the church if all you think about is the results you've had up till now or everything that went wrong or every
Person that left or every negative word that was said and you stay in that cycle of thinking it will hinder your future
It works in any arena and we have to work it at not bringing up the past
You know, we we're so acquainted with our own faults and our failures, aren't we
So acquainted and there's a temptation to yield to that condemnation because we know we missed it
We know we could have done better how many could have prayed more this last week, uh-huh. Well you ought to be condemned about that
No, can you be what good is that gonna do right? I hope you know I'm being sarcastic
What good is that gonna do anybody? I
Was feeling like we could have done more for brother Ray, you know, I could feel that just sitting on my shoulder
You know for days
But what what can you do about it, what can you do if you could have done more you can't change it
We always could have should have would have
and
Even if you couldn't the devil will still say you could
And that's where you have to be careful because
Some of us I'm not going to say all of us, but some of us are highly skilled at taking the blame for things
We always
Right away accept the accusation against ourself that we didn't do good enough
Instead of believing, you know, I think I did do good enough and it's not my fault
That's really rare for me to think that thought on my own. I have to work at that thought and
I'm sure some of you are the same way, but if we don't get that changed it's gonna limit how far we're gonna go
Also, you know we can find it easier to forgive other people sometimes than to forgive ourselves
I've really never had a hard time forgiving anybody as long as I can remember because one thing that was practiced in our home
We always my mom always said I'm sorry, you know, she could
Mean as could be about something and lose her temper, but she'd always come back within less than an hour and apologize
And I learned early on yeah, you could be you could miss it
But you just say you're sorry and I know she meant it and we mean it when we say we're sorry
So we forgive others
but then
You forgive yourself
You know if if you allow those feelings of condemnation to linger day after day week after week
Then that's an indication you have not forgiven yourself
So the results of not forgiving yourself, I've got five listed here number one is worry
Number two is fear
See when you say worry and fear when you don't forgive yourself
That means you're continually hanging on to thoughts that you didn't do it, right? You didn't do it good enough
You messed up
It can't be changed. I
Ruined it now
How's this ever going to get fixed what is that worry thoughts worry thoughts worry thoughts
Or fear fear of what is it? What's the result going to be now? How am I going to make it in life now?
How am I going to fulfill my destiny now?
worry and fear guilt
Condemnation and depression as I said before so if you don't forgive yourself, you will the end result is going to be depression and
Even worse than that a life of
Unanswered prayer and an unfulfilled destiny and it won't even be on God's end because all along
He's washed you in the blood and he doesn't remember any of it
Let's turn to mark chapter 11
Mark chapter 11 and verse 23
Jesus said her assuredly I say to you whoever says to this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea
And does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done
He will have whatever he says how many know these are faith scriptures
Therefore I say to you whatever things you ask when you pray
Believe that you receive them and you will have them
But then it's followed up with this little verse setting that says when you stand praying forgive
Yeah
So we see that this is one of the primary things that keeps faith from working is unforgiveness
It's tied to these faith verses. So not only forgiving somebody else for what they did against you but forgiving yourself
No, yeah, I should have done something differently. I should have reacted differently
I should have put my foot down on that. I should have raised my kids differently. I should have done this I should have done that
Thank God we're redeemed
First John 1 9 says if we confess our sins
He's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness
Cleanse us from all
unrighteousness, so when we sin
We lose our sense of righteousness
But thank God we have this verse because we can confess our sin
Ask for forgiveness and now we're cleansed from that sense of unrighteousness
And this is why you know as I was reading that verse today this came to me
This is why the hyper grace teaching is so harmful
Because if you're being taught that you don't ever have to ask for forgiveness
Because you're already forgiven
Then whether you know it or not you're living with condemnation
Because you're not asking for forgiveness and that condemnation is limiting your faith
So there's a whole lot of people that have bought into that that they can do whatever they want and there's no
consequence for sin because sins all been cleansed and washed away and it's
Legally Jesus did pay the price for the sins of the world
But this verse is written to believers if you sin you still have an advocate with the father
You still need to ask for forgiveness and it's not because you'll go to hell if you don't it's because you'll live in
Condemnation if you don't yeah, and if you live in condemnation, you will never have another prayer answer
And so then people like that are really ineffective and they don't fulfill their destiny and so there's a lot of harm in that teaching
So to fail to forgive ourselves is to doubt that God forgave us
You know Satan is the accuser of the brethren the Bible says and
We have to become skillful at answering
Thank you Jesus you just got to tell him no you don't
God forgave me that sin is washed in the blood. He's not remembering it anymore, and if he's not remembering it
I'm not remembering
And then he'll try to bring the thought back again. You say no you don't I refuse that thought Jesus cleansed me from that
He's forgiven me, and he's forgotten about it because he chooses to forget
Because he's wise yeah, and we would be wise if we choose to forget
Interesting that God Almighty
Wiser than any of us will ever be
Chooses to forget all of the sins that you confess
but then we
Want to hold on to them and remember them
Why because we're greater than God
No we can't hold on to it. We have to get rid of it
We are not taking those things back after we've gotten forgive
Remember forgiveness just like we're taught we walk by faith and not by sight forgiveness is not a feeling
It's a decision
You may initially still feel like you're not forgiving
But that's how you have to deal with it by speaking to it by speaking what God's Word says about it
Just like your body might not feel healed when you believe you received your healing well
What do you do you speak to it you say what God says about it? You don't go by what you feel
Another thing that I love is in first John chapter 4 verse 16
It says we have known and believed the love that God has for us
Now think about it, we're so quick to believe the accusations of the enemy
But instead we should be quick to believe the love that God has for us
He loves us so much, and I think I'm maybe I'm just preaching to myself
But it seems like it's so much easier to believe the accusations than to believe the love that God has for us
And it's so backwards
Let's see if you do miss it we're not encouraging you to just keep living in sin and just forget the past
We're encouraging you to repent and get it right and then forget the past
But if you believe the love that God has for you
It supersedes anything you did wrong. I mean that love is so great. That's why we pray in Ephesians
That God would grant unto us the ability to understand how
You know the breath and width and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes our knowledge or our natural understanding
It's too hard for the human mind to grasp the love of God
And why because our whole lives we've been treated with human love
Which rejects you as soon as you don't do something their way. Yeah
And so we're we're so good at
Not accepting the love of God we have to work on accepting it. It's unconditional love
Amen
Be quick to believe the love that God has for us. You know like I said when God forgives he forgets that is love
So if there's someone in your life that sinned against you and you've forgiven them
Then you have to forget about it, too
And if you bring it up every week
You're not forgetting you're condemning and if God doesn't condemn then who do you think you are condemning, right?
Glory to God. Thank you Lord. I think sometimes we're raised in an atmosphere where we're taught. That's the way you do it
Because you're gonna learn your lesson bless God. I'm gonna keep rubbing your nose in this doo-doo
You learn your lesson I
Never did agree with that with dogs, you know, I
Had family that if the dog messed in the house, they take their nose and rub it in it
I'm just like well, I don't think that's teaching them anything
That's horrible
But you know, it's just human nature to do things that way we think somehow that that's gonna work
Well, it doesn't work
Glory to God
Hallelujah, are you awake when God forgives he forgets
Our sins are worthy of just one thing and that is forgetting
Once you confess them or get them
Blood of Jesus puts us back into a place as though we had never sinned
What would you do with your life if you had never missed it
What kind of confidence would you have toward God if you had never missed it? Yeah
What would you ask for if you had never missed it?
We'll go ahead and do it because from God's perspective. You've never missed it
Because you missed it so much you're afraid to ask
No, God doesn't want us to do that anymore he wants us to ask big
If there was anyone who could have been held back by their past it would have been the Apostle Paul
Think about all that man did now naturally speaking. He had great accolades. He was highly accomplished highly educated
Went very far at a young age in the Jewish faith
But he was guilty of killing and persecuting Christians
That's the best kind of person to get saved
Jesus is wise
Remember when Ananias he appeared to Ananias and said I want you to go lay hands on Saul of Tarsus
He's praying and Ananias said but Lord
Are you sure you know what you're doing?
Yes, he knows what he's doing
And look at how hard remember what Jesus answered to him was he's gonna see how much he must suffer for my name's sake in
Other words, he's not getting off scot-free. Don't worry
He's gonna work four and five times harder than any of the other disciples and suffer a lot
But he was such an asset
Well, he didn't allow his past
He would have every day been mindful of all the people he was responsible for killing
Of all the persecution he did enough wrong. It's one thing to sin against, you know people in a certain way
But when you're sinning against the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and that kind of measure
And I'm sure the devil came with lots of condemnation because that's what he does
So Paul had to learn how to resist it
Yeah, and we know that he did move beyond his past because let's go to Philippians chapter 3
In Philippians chapter 3 and verse 13. Oh
Let's just start with verse 12 not that I have already attained or I'm already perfected he was sober
That even after all he did he still hasn't arrived yet
But he said that I press on that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended but one thing I do
forgetting those things which are behind and
Reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I
Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus and I love verse 15
He says therefore let us as many as are mature
Have this mind
So what's he saying saying here failure to forget holds you back
You're not going to get past what you fail to forget
But he's also saying mature people will forget
So if you're holding on to your past that means you're not mature
spiritually
That's not meant to be mean guys. It's meant to wake us up
If you're still remembering everything you've done wrong
If you can't forgive yourself you haven't matured spiritually
Yeah, you know there's so much more in front of us than behind us
It's not is it worth holding on to the past
And then forsaking all the good that's in the future
It's gonna rob you of what God has for you, and then you're gonna be living life depressed and angry because
You don't have the things you should have had by now. You don't have them if you don't let go of the past
I mean, that's a big step
There's so much more in front of us
We have to forget the past so we can fully reach forward and that's really what Paul did if he would not have mastered that
He would not have done all the things he did because that sense of condemnation would have kept him from reaching out from being bold
and
One thing he did though. He said I think my god. I speak with tongues more than you all put together
So what did he do he kept his spirit man larger?
Than what his flesh had to say and offer
And that's what we need to do as well
Hallelujah
So like I said before guilt and condemnation are poor receivers and
Your faith is not going to work if you allow that to stay now
Let's look at one really great biblical example in Matthew 15
And I love this story because it illustrates so beautifully
Someone who had every reason to feel condemned refused to allow their past to keep them from receiving
In Matthew chapter 15 in verse 21
it says then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon and
Behold a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to him saying have mercy on me O Lord son of David
My daughter is severely demon-possessed
Thank you Jesus
But he answered her not a word and
His disciples came and urged him saying send her away for she cries out after us
But he answered and said I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel
She's got a lot working against her right now
This first of all
She's a woman
From Canaan. She's not a Jew. She didn't has no covenant with God
She obviously has unclean things going on in her household because her daughter's demon-possessed
you know your children don't get demon-possessed if they're under your authority unless somehow you've allowed it to happen and
So she's got something going on in her life that shouldn't be so she's in a living in a life of sin
Doesn't have a covenant
she's a woman all by herself approaching Jesus and
She came and worshiped him saying Lord help me she wouldn't quit she was persistent
But he answered and said it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs
And she said yes Lord in other words. She said I agree that I'm a dog
But notice that's the only thing she brought up when she came before Jesus
She didn't come to him and say Lord. I know I'm a sinner. I know I don't have a covenant with you
I know I'm not worthy to receive from you
I know that I'm you know not this and not that she didn't come and bring all of her faults and failures before him
Do you know you come to God in prayer?
And you need something and you start out by pouring out all your faults and failures to him
That's no way to receive from God. Yeah
She didn't come and bring any of that nasty stuff up. She just said yes Lord or truth Lord
I think King James says in other words
I agree that I'm a dog but even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall on the master's table
Then Jesus answered and said to her old woman great is your faith?
Let it be to you as you desire and her daughter was healed from that very hour
So what did she do she didn't have her faults in her mouth she had the right words in her mouth
She said truth Lord yet
Even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their master's table. She had words of faith in her mouth
She didn't allow her past to keep her from pursuing the health that she needed. I
Like this story because we have a covenant with God
This woman did not and yet she still had the boldness to come and ask for help
She wasn't focused on how undeserving she was she was focused on the help that she could receive from him
And that is why he said you're you've got great faith
Because you're not focusing on all the things you did wrong
You've got great faith because you're focusing on me and my ability to do this for you
My willingness to do this for you in spite of all that you did wrong. You still came for me. Yeah
And so what we see with her is great faith does not hold on to the past
It doesn't hold on to failures
It doesn't hold on to sin great faith holds on to the Word of God
holds on to Jesus
The past is dead and gone
You know, sometimes we preach messages like this at the first of the year
Because we need to forget the past if we're gonna move on then you get almost to the halfway point
And all the things that you said you were going to do January 1st
Well, maybe it's not looking like you kept some of those
Resolutions
Whatever they might be
Maybe you haven't become the spiritual giant by today that you thought you went on January 1st
Maybe you didn't keep up with your Bible reading. Maybe you didn't keep up with your prayer life
You know, you could name any number of things. Well, what are we going to do about it?
So forget the rest of the year now
Well, then what then you waste six good months
No, that's not what we're gonna do we're gonna forget those things which are behind
So we can press forward and continue to live in victory
and
Make some progress and bear some fruit
Praise the Lord what lies ahead is so much greater
Than what's been behind us and this is important even for this church because we've got a lot of years behind us
But it doesn't matter how many years we have behind us. We know that what's ahead is so much
That's why we keep pressing that's why we keep coming that's why we keep preaching
That's why we keep serving and giving why we were faithful to be here tonight
Even though most of us would probably rather be in bed or resting at home after working all day
But we press to be here because we knew that our spirit man needed to be fed
And that was more important than letting our flesh rest and do nothing
And so that's part of the press as Kim where I used to say pressed to possess
And so I just wanted to encourage us tonight. There is therefore now now
No condemnation
To those who are in Christ. Amen. Don't let you know, maybe as I'm preaching this message
You're thinking about something in your own life, whatever it might be
That could be holding you back from moving in the direction that you should be
Because of this thing called condemnation and maybe you didn't even realize that's what it was. I
Know I felt that the Lord dealt with me
The last few days that this is something that might be going on in my life, and I wasn't even aware of it
That you can almost subconsciously be thinking wrong thoughts about things in your life based on what's happened in the past
And if we don't let go of it, we won't be able to progress in that area
So I encourage you let go because we don't need depressed Saints
We don't need
You know believers that are being just like the world and dealing with these things. We need to have the victory
displayed in our lives and
And you know another thing is what do you do when you start to feel that sinking feeling you speak to it?
But what is pastor Nancy taught us you answer it and then you rejoice and praise God
Sometimes you just have to get alone
Jesus put on the garment of praise. I praise you Jesus. I don't feel like it, but I'm praising you Jesus
You're worthy to be praised and look Chris back. There is a fine example of this when I when I think of this message I
Know he lived under condemnation for many years
And it's a supernatural work of God this joy
This joy that I have the world didn't give it to me this joy that I have
The world didn't give to me this joy that I have the world didn't give it to me
The world didn't give it and the world can't take it away
You can't take it away, but you can keep it from flowing
If you allow condemnation to stay instead of choosing to rejoice
Well that didn't go the way I wanted it to today, so
Forget everything today everybody get out of my way cuz I'm in a bad mood now
Whoa?
Well, it maybe didn't go your way, but you can just say this
Doesn't matter what happened
I'm not the entertainment show for tonight supposed to be joining in
This joy
The world didn't give it to me this joy that I have
The world didn't give it to me the world didn't give it and the world can't take it away
As pastor Ramos would say you have to joy
Have to joy
And if you refuse to joy, there is no help left for you you reject your help
There's a guitar not working tonight for some reason is there a cable problem every problem are we on batteries
Okay
Because I was gonna have you come play something joyful, but if it won't work
It's okay
It's it's okay
Well, we'll just make our own music is there anyone here tonight that you would like to receive hands laid on you for healing
Hallelujah glory to God
This joy that I have
This joy
The world didn't give it to me
this joy
The world didn't give it to me
The world didn't give it and the world can't take it away
This joy
The world didn't give it to me
Lord we thank you that brother mark is your child and healing is his bread and in the name of Jesus
I command all sickness and disease
Behold from the top of your head to the soles of your feet
Don't let a blanket of heaviness come on you guys
Thank You Jesus joy joy joy
His church without some joy
Come on up for the Chris
What happens when that sinking feeling tries to come on you, what do you do?
You find a court jester
That heavy sinking feeling ever tried to come on you
And so what happens when you laugh
And so the laughter is that the help of the spirit sure
Anybody know what I'm singing is the good old Ramason glory. Do you know that song brother Isaac?
How they live this joy that I have the world didn't give it to me
this
World didn't give it to me
this
World didn't give it to me
World didn't give it and the world can't take it away
All right, thanks Chris you've been kind of
Yeah, I know Janna's rejoicing
Oh
Praise God choose joy
Well father we thank you tonight you've given us answers for everything we face in life
And we thank you Lord that we have the rivers of the spirit flowing in us
And they're not meant to just stay in us, but to flow out
And to affect those around us and we thank you father for the glory of God and manifestation in this hour
Lord, it's not about us. It's about those that need to be reached
And they don't need to be reached by depressed people who they're gonna say dear Lord, I don't want
No, they want the joy that we have
Because it's one thing they can't have without Jesus Christ
So we thank you Lord for this joy
Joy
Are you gonna joy for everybody
This joy that I have
To me
He actually has a set of drums if you can believe it
Praise the Lord, I don't know. I guess we can do it to the drums
Busy watching everything
Well, we love you all hope you know what a blessing you are and how much the Lord and this city
I
Just
This is a really strange I guess but
It's
It's it's a perfect example. I think
Of what you kind of need to do at home because it's like
Pastor Christine is joyful. She's excited
Let's do
But it's like that's that's
Like how it is at home and how it is in life and it's like, you know
I don't be like being joyful and I had this thing where I do where I'm always talking to my mom or my sister
And I'll just I had this like stone face because it's my face and
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha and we'll just go back and forth until we
Start busting out
It's on the inside
You know, it's okay the Lord wants you to do to work up that joy
Operate separate from it is by the spirit
We don't take advantage of these wonderful tools or gifts that we've been given that we just continue to suffer
And that's not God's highest and best. So thank you for sharing brother
I
Know I've taught you before that were to come to God as a little child
This little child thinks that every time he takes two or three steps without holding on then he has to stop
Just rejoice over every little
Sammy Sammy gonna clap with grandma
I
Time and Julie do that remind me of my young days. My grandparents used to listen to the Mixmasters
Everybody would get together for family gatherings and they would dance not, you know, slow boring dances, but the polka Oh
Hallelujah, praise God. Well, God wants you to poke on church
Grab your partner swing around
Hallelujah, well listen just tonight remembering just joy
That condemnation and depression
We'll see you on Father's Day, we love you all
