In this video, I want to talk about this
new benefit of the Builts Rewards
System. We also have a high bonus offer
on the American Airlines Advantage
Platinum Select Mastercard. And lastly,
I have a way that you can earn an easy
2,000 or so Marriott points. Hey credit
warriors, welcome to the show. My name
is Ben Hedges aka the Credit Shu. And on
this channel, I cover US credit cards,
personal finance, and luxury travel. If
you like the sound of that, please
subscribe. But let's get into the video.
So, you probably have heard of Built. It
is an online rewards program that lets
you earn Built points by paying rent and
also by dining in restaurants in their
dining program. Oh, and at Walgreens,
too. Now, Built has a load of airline
and hotel transfer partners that you can
transfer points to, or you can use them
through the Built portal for 1.25 cents
per point. Now, they've just brought in
a new benefit of the program that went
live today, and that is built home
delivery powered by Gouff. So, this is a
delivery service for items from grocery
stores, drugstores, and alcohol from
liquor stores in some markets. And you
can access it right there in the Built
app. And you can actually pay using
built points or your credit card or
debit card. Or you can do a split
payment, part on points and part on a
card. Now, this is a relatively low
value redemption. Okay? It's just 0.7
cents per point. So, I wouldn't really
recommend doing this all the time.
Consider the points guy values built
points at 2.2 two cents per point, which
obviously takes into account
transferring out to transfer partners,
booking business class, that kind of
stuff. So, it's kind of a waste if you
use your points at such a low value. But
if you have a load of points sitting
around that you don't know what to do
with, I guess it's okay to occasionally
redeem in this way. So, this is one of
those things that could be useful to
some people and not so useful to others.
I think for most people looking to
really maximize value with points, it's
not that useful. But if you're just
using Gouff with money to buy stuff, uh
it might be useful just to have Guff
right in the app. And this also could
signal that in the future when they come
out with a series of new built cards.
Remember we talked about the built
trifecta, okay, in a previous video,
which is confirmed. They are coming out
with new built cards next year. There
might be some kind of gouff credit on
one or two of those cards. There is now
a landing page live for this new
feature. I'll paste it down below in a
pin comment for you to click in and
check out. Built, of course, is
fantastic in many other ways. I
especially like their dining program. It
lets you earn an average of three points
per dollar extra at restaurants in the
dining program on top of what you would
normally earn on your credit card. So,
for me, I often use the MX Gold. I end
up getting seven points per dollar. Four
from Amx, three from Built. I'll put a
link to the dining program down below.
It really is a no-brainer to just sign
up and link a card, okay? Sometimes you
even dine at a built restaurant without
realizing it and you earn some points by
surprise. All right, let's now talk
about the new 80,000 point bonus on the
Advantage Platinum Select World Elite
Mastercard. So, you can get 80,000
points for spending just $1,000 in your
first 3 months from account opening.
$1,000 is a tiny spend requirement. I
could probably do that like in my first
week of having the card, right? If I got
the card directly before a busy few days
of spending, if we go with the points
guy valuation for American Airlines
miles, this is of course an American
Airlines credit card if you didn't
figure that out already. Um, but if we
go with his valuation of 1.55 cents per
mile, uh, that takes us to $1,240 in
value. Now, this is an in-flight offer,
which means you need a flight attendant
code. But the funny thing is, if you
don't have a flight attendance code and
you start entering random numbers, they
even tell you that if you don't have a
code, just enter 000000. All right,
that's six zeros and you're good to go.
So, it's not that it's only available
for people in flight. It's just that
they want to track the flight attendant
who sold it so that they can give them
commission if the offer gets out to
other people not currently on a plane.
They don't seem to mind. So, you do need
the direct link to this so you have that
little box to enter the 6. If you just
go online and search on Google for this
card, you won't get this offer. It's a
much lower offer. Um, but I'll paste the
link down below in the description and
in a pin comment for you to click into.
All right, let's now talk about our last
story of the day, and that is an easy
way that you can get an extra 2,000
Marriott points on your next stay. All
you have to do is sign up through this
website. Celebrate 2025 with 2,25 bonus
points, plus 2,000 more on stays with
Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors. Not sure what
Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors is? Maybe it's
glamping or something, or cabins. Is
this it? The outdoor collection? Not
sure. But if you want a similar
experience, even better actually, stay
at my cabin in the mountains 2 hours
north of New York City. Link is down
below. Anyway, let's read through the
terms. Register now through December
27th, 2025. Earn on stays from October
28th, 2025 through January 10th, 2026.
Redeem bonus points for stays and
experiences that shape who you are. And
it was super easy to register for this.
You just sign into your account, hit the
register button, and then it's active
and good to go and you can book. I need
to book a hotel actually for the night
before my return flight from London this
year uh at New Year. I'm coming back on
New Year's Day and it's an early morning
flight. So, I normally like to stay at a
hotel at the airport before. So, I'm
going to probably book through Marriott.
Although, I'm probably going to use a
free night certificate for this. So, it
actually might not trigger these points
since it says in the small print that
this is only for paid stays. But, it's
still worth signing up just in case you
do have a paid stay in that time frame.
I'll put a link below for you guys to
check it out. All right, guys. That is
the video for today. Don't forget to
sign up for the built dining program and
link a card and get an extra three
points per dollar on your dining spend.
Link for that is down below. Please
subscribe to the channel if you're new
and we'll see you next time. Bye-bye.
