V12 Lambo Revuelto vs Aventador Ultimae DRAG RACE

G'day, I'm Paul. This is the Lamborghini Rivalto and that is the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimate. This uses a tri-motor setup, two on the front axle, one at the rear with the engine in between the gearbox and the engine. It also has a naturally aspirated V12 engine, so it is a colossal beast with its little hybrid extension there. Our boys run us through the Aventador, that is pretty much just naturally aspirated, right? Well, mate, this thing is an old-school V12. There's no fancy turbos or electric stuff. This thing is literally a dinosaur and I love it for that. It uses so much fuel. It's got a heap of power and torque, but I don't know if it's going to go that well against all that electric fancy stuff that you got over there. But you know what? This sounds better, I think it looks better, and I think off the line, I might actually have you, so let's see. Big shout out to Lawrence, who has been a legend and given us access to any of these cars to do this stuff, and it is genuinely unreal. As a reminder, this is an unprepped surface, so you are not going to see the times that you see with these cars at drag strips. It is going to be much slower because there is very little traction here, but unfortunately, it's all we have access to. Okay, Megan, count us in. Launching on go. Three, two, one, go. Oh, perfect start for both of us. Oh my God. No chance at all. Oh my God. I knew this would be quicker. I did not expect it to be that much faster. Off the line, the Aventadors have always had a really good launch, but the way it just pulled away from you was unbelievable. I will give you one more attempt. You left at the exact right time, so you are slowly learning how this drag racing thing works, which I'm very proud of you for. Here we go. Launching on go. Three, two, one, go. Oh, these launches are so good. Maybe, yes. Come on. That was a solid beating there. Yeah, that launch is still amazing out of the Aventador. That is rocket ship fast, but you can literally see with that ISR, it is just a massively inferior transmission to this dual clutch. The second you hit your first gear shift, it was bouncing back and that's when I started walking it, but it really wasn't that far ahead. I thought it would completely destroy it, but that is still a really quick cut. Yeah, I had a perfect launch then, so no excuses, but yeah, once your hybrid system started helping, there was just nothing I could do. It was gone. All right, let's go do a rolling race. We'll see whether there's any difference there. Okay, roll race time. We're going to go up to 30 k's an hour and when we both reach the white line, it is going to be on for young and old. I'm going to leave this in manual first gear, which seems to be about where it's at. Elbows will do the same. See how we go. Okay, that is on another level. Yeah, I think with the standing start, you've got like really good explosive acceleration off the line there, but when it comes to the rolling race, I mean, this thing, once you've got that tri-motor setup running and singing like it is, unreal. Let's do that one more time, man. I reckon I left that one in automatic and it just didn't work. Gee, I wonder why. Come on. Come on. How slow is this thing? Gear shifts are otherworldly compared to that. All right. It's official. The Rivalto is significantly faster than the best Aventador ever. Like as much as I love the look and sound of the Aventador, that car is just sensational. That Rivalto is something else. It is. But look, to be honest, I actually much prefer the look of the Aventador and this spec, Lawrence's specking of this car, I think is great. It looks unreal in the mat. I wouldn't get it in that sort of awful looking color, but I think the Aventador in general just has quite a menacing appearance to it. Yeah, it does. But I will say that as good looking as this car is, having a gearbox that actually works like you do is a huge differentiator in ownership experience. Because having driven both cars, I would 100% drive that every day. And this thing is like an event. Like you will need to go to a chiropractor and you feel like you're going to go through the front windshield every time you change gears. Yeah, that gearbox is garbage.
