What they just witnessed there.
He's going to attempt, from what it looks like from our vantage
point, that he is going to start this trick, whatever it's
about to be, because we have no idea.
I love it.
He's going to stand on the back of the seat.
Sometimes you'll see these guys stand on the side of the seat.
Do we call it jet ski takeoff?
What is Davey Johnson bringing to the party
here at the Utah Motorsports Campus?
See, it's a decade!
That was cool!
What kind of crazy circus mechanism
does he have in that motorcycle?
What sort of apparatus is going on to it?
You're not supposed to be able to rotate your bars
all the way around like that on a dirt bike,
ladies and gentlemen.
What kind of detangler can you make the mechanism
work with brake fluid?
How?
Watch where he takes off right here.
What on earth is going on here?
You're going to need it, though.
This is absolute madness about to happen.
Watch this insane combo move.
Watch the rotation.
Either way, give it up for Harry Bink!
What?
Rides out.
Such a wild ride on this thing.
He watches his head.
He rips this thing as much as he can.
What do you think of the great wizard, Harry Bink?
I mean, the amount of things that
are going on in the middle of that in a double backflip
rotation.
One more time, everybody.
A standing ovation for that man right there.
Last year's champion, Mr. Pat Bowden.
By the way, Josh, he and I said he finished third last year.
I didn't correct myself.
It was second.
Pat's only got big tricks.
His trick repertoire is gigantic only.
And front flip, Christ's heir, yo!
Well, that was a thing of beauty.
Got a little scary there.
I was like, you get too much pop,
and then it throws you a little too far forward
on that front flip rotation.
But he made short work of that one there.
Off the way, playboy.
You just made some moves.
His Nitro World Games FMX best trick career
has been nothing but podium.
And he's going to throw a KOD in it.
One flip, KOD, second flip.
Oh my goodness!
No!
And he overrotates it and gets whiplash backwards.
But bounces right up.
Look what happened to that man.
He shredded that jersey.
So he is going to go.
So I'm asking you, do you come back and do
the KOD double flip again?
Yes.
Josh Sheehan going in for attempt number two.
Can he make it happen this second go around?
Flip, KOD, flip.
And there you go!
Well, he dabbed a foot.
Hardest trick of the night.
Rotates it.
He's got wings here.
Oh my gosh, Harry is the strongest rider out there.
He is the toughest rider out there.
Look at this right here.
To get back to the bars, he grabs, double grab.
Let's go, rock solid.
No one else has even been able to do this into a foam pit.
It comes around.
He grabs on with one hand, overrotates it,
and straight to his head.
We didn't think he'd go again, but Travis Pastrana,
Harry Bink is going again, looking
for a front flip rock solid.
Toughest guy in freestyle motocross.
This is the hardest DOD value of any trick that's out there.
Oh, come on, Harry.
Let's get that bike started.
He has been beat up.
He has been bruised, and he is going
for the hardest trick that's ever
been pulled or attempted on a freestyle motocross motorcycle.
He crashed it the first time, Harry Bink.
Rock solid front flip.
Got it, got it, got it.
He's got it, yes!
He has done it!
That is the biggest, hardest trick ever performed
in the world of freestyle motocross.
Front flip, rock solid.
Reaches down to the back of the bike.
Let's go, completely arms out wide.
More difficult than a double front flip.
Full extension, grabs back on that bike,
is pulling away from him, and tackles it.
Sideways, one of the best tricks I've
ever seen in my entire life.
Harry, you are a champion.
Now, it being in third place, Travis Pastrana, X Games.
He wants the gold.
Never gotten in this event.
It is time for history.
The world is watching as Travis Pastrana, everybody
in this house, runs now, standing up and cheering.
What is Harry thinking right now?
I mean, the whole stadium just shut down when J.O. did this.
Shoot, Harry can still do it.
Now, it's time to watch Harry do it.
How do you feel about that?
He can do it.
No, he can't.
The crowd is off their feet.
Listen to that.
Just pulled that around so, so well.
Just got a little bit sideways on that landing.
Just a little bit under-rotated.
It's an absolute testament to just how much this means.
You know, it's not about doing something first.
It's about doing it.
Medal, no medal.
Harry wants this for him.
He wants to be the man that was able to overcome
all the fears, was able to put it together,
and was able to land it in competition.
This is absolutely amazing.
Absolutely amazing.
And here we go, double front flip.
It looks like we're not waiting on this.
Double front flip.
He has put his heart, he has put his soul,
the most insane thing I've ever thought.
Bruce Cook, I know you're watching at home, man.
Love you guys.
Craziest stuff I've ever seen in one night.
This is like action sports history every 30 seconds.
It's insane.
All of a sudden, he's in the air.
And when he rode out of that, I lost it.
I just absolutely, I came unglued.
I've never tried at a contest before, man.
His last one to the airbag, he would have died.
It would have killed him.
I just, memories of just Bruce Cook.
Smile for BC, man.
Finishing what Bruce Cook started.
So he got the Pastranaland chicane
straight into the Pastranaland downhill
into the Moonbooter from hell.
A gap that you roughly set up
because you kind of measured to where you're going
in the bag.
We half-assed it.
I really, there was no way to get to see
where I was landing up there.
It's within 10 feet.
Sounds like you had all figured it out.
Right.
Just tell me it's gonna work.
I just don't want to see you freaking
fold yourself on the back corner of that thing.
So don't go short.
I'm just gonna do a double flip first, right?
It's gonna be scary either way.
I just would prefer to not land upside down
in the wrong spot.
Dude, I thought he was framing it on the back.
Wow.
We're gonna push that in a lot more.
Yeah!
It looks so much softer.
That ******* resi hurts.
There's a big range here where it's like out for me.
Dude, I don't know why I'm doing that.
It's been nearly eight years
since Travis started his journey
to prove that the triple flip could be done.
To get to this point,
it has required thousands of man hours,
millions of dollars,
and the risk of human life.
To finally accomplish it,
land a triple on a hard landing right away from it,
it's awesome.
It's still sinking in.
It's such an amazing feeling.
For starters, a massive thanks to Travis Pastrana
and Nitro Circus for being crazy
and having these crazy ideas
and just for all my sponsors for helping me out,
for getting me sorted with the gear and product,
for allowing me to do what I do.
So, awesome, thanks.
Oh, and massive thanks to the Aussie guys for coming out.
It just really took the stress away
and made me feel more at home.
So, it made everything a lot more fun.
