Hello and good morning, it is day 34.
I knew that was coming.
And we are back here at the skate park.
I'm gonna work on my snake walk.
And I have this idea.
I think I'm going to try going up the half pipe and like getting a little bit of air.
And maybe that'll help with my 360s.
So those are the plans for today.
And just practice all this stuff I already know.
Okay, let's do this.
How am I able to do that?
It's really cool.
I'm gonna keep trying to do that.
Am I getting better at manual stuff?
Okay, I guess we should probably address the weird time I have on my skating too.
So my toes were like ripping open.
And I know I need to get the toe cover thing.
I just haven't ordered them yet.
So this is what we get.
We get tape on the toe.
So I'm feeling pretty unstable after not having practiced for a while.
Cartwheel seemed good.
I don't know how I'm gonna get some air.
I should probably practice Maryland stalls first, I guess.
I guess.
Does that count as a flamingo stall?
I don't know.
I thought that went pretty well.
It's like a mix of Maryland stall.
Well, Maryland stalls with the no toe stop.
I don't know.
Did I get a couple with the toe stop?
Maybe.
And some sort of jumping stuff.
I was actually pretty happy with the jumping stuff.
I kind of like got a little bit of air.
So that was cool.
I should really expand on that.
I'm gonna keep doing that combo.
Maryland stall attempts and jumping stuff.
Let's do that.
That wasn't too bad either.
I didn't fall.
I think what I'm doing on the Maryland stalls a little bit differently is I'm keeping my
up leg a little bit more to the front to like balance me out a little bit better.
I think that's helping.
Let's keep going.
My legs are getting tired from like staying in a squat position the whole time.
Especially this back one.
I think I want to try 360s now.
I'll warm up with the here, the half.
We'll practice that diagonal, feet together, a little pivot.
Okay, those were good.
Now we're going to try and squeak some more turns around.
What happened?
I was so good at these the other day.
I kind of think I'd do better just going straight up and turning and then coming back down.
These aren't that great.
I'm going bad today.
I need to turn this around.
Uh, go harder.
No.
Better technique.
Yes.
I've now noticed an issue.
When I twist on the ground, I like to go that way.
And when I twist up here, I still have that same foot in front, but I'm trying to go that way.
I'm inconsistent.
I don't know which way I want to turn.
Should I just try both?
I should probably look up the best way to turn, but I really just want to try stuff.
So I think I'm just going to try stuff.
I think I kind of just want to try going up, turning, and coming back down like 180.
Going straight up 180 and then facing this way on the way down.
I think I should try that.
Why should I do this diagonal stuff?
I should just go for the real thing, right?
No, but yeah, I'm going to do it.
Okay, now that I've done that, that seems like a pretty essential skill to have.
I'm going to work on that.
Those were very good.
I didn't fall.
And I completed the 180.
Should I keep doing that?
Or should I practice 360?
I don't think I'm ready for the 360.
I should really get this down high.
I should try and do it really high.
That went well too.
How high did it look?
It didn't feel that high, but it seemed like it was higher than before.
How cool would it be if it was over the top of the half pipe?
That would be so cool.
Okay, I'm going to work on going higher now.
How much more stable and how much better I've gotten at doing the half pipe?
I've gotten so much better in the past few days.
I would not have been able to come down face first.
Every time, it's a little bit scary.
But coming down face first from up so high feels high.
I don't know if it really looks high.
But yeah, I feel like I've gotten way better at this.
I hope I keep getting better.
I should do the 180s, but I'm kind of scared.
I think I'm going to put those off.
I'll practice on the ground.
And I need to practice snake walk too.
Those are my two things left that I need to work on.
Okay, let's do a few more.
I like doing this.
This is fun.
I'm thinking it'd be really cool to go up.
Do the 180.
Come back down.
And then I'm going into it backwards.
I'm coming up backwards.
And then I flip back around.
Is that right?
Let me see.
It was so bad.
I should probably plan this out before trying it.
Let me see.
Let me see what I would do.
So I figured out I got to turn that way.
Because if I don't, the turn is like way harder.
Man, I can't figure out when the height of the turn is, when the peak is.
It's very difficult because my leg is...
There's pressure on the half pipe the entire time.
Maybe I should practice going up and doing a little jump or something.
The little jumps were pretty good, I think.
The turnaround was not very good.
That could still use more work.
Let's do that.
Let's do that, right?
And then we'll do snake walk and then Vita.
Landed it, but it wasn't pretty.
Okay, let's work on the snake walk.
And that'll be the last thing.
Let's see if I maintained it and if it's really hard to do on the cement.
Oh yeah, this is way harder on the cement because this one,
it just like grabs on and then it rumbles.
And I can't like pull it how I want to.
But I have to be able to do it.
I'm sure if I was like really good, this wouldn't be a problem.
But it is.
Because I'm a beginner and it's hard to learn on here.
It's hard to learn on the cement.
I think that's looking way better.
I think I'm pretty happy with that.
I think even though it is cement, the open space helps a lot
because indoors I could only get like three pushes.
But out here I can get like as many as I want, really.
Okay, let's do that a couple more times.
I'd say that was a pretty good day.
I did some 180s and got a little bit more used to using the half pipe.
And I got better at snake walk.
So I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Bye.
