I'm BACK baby! Day In The Life of a Mom / NEW Camera, Sick Toddler, Kids Bedroom Refresh

We have had quite the past few days first off you saw my last vlog which was a couple weeks ago My camera broke because my telether pushed it over and shattered my lens So anyways, I got a new camera i'm filming on it right now, I really really like it. It's the sony zve 10 2 and then I got like a wide angle 11 millimeter 1.8 lens Anyways, i've been trying to get familiar with this camera today. It's going to be kind of a test run So hang in there with me today is also the first day back to school from fall break So I just got squirreled off to school ben is with me sick today you guys he has been so Sick, he's on day four of a fever. He's laying down right now in the playroom His fever got up to almost 106 friday night We actually ended up taking him to the er because he was like lethargic and it got a little scary They just said his ear was a little pink doesn't seem like he has any issues with his ear. He hasn't been like tugging it Oh, that's good. This is where I get my meal preps from your local day Arizona prepped by breck their lattes are so good day four of fever is not great. I just checked his temperature It's at 101.6 without any meds, but I just talked to his pediatrician office and they're like did they not test his urine? Did they not run any like flu tests or covid tests or anything like that? And i'm like, uh, no, they didn't like I don't know why I didn't even think about that I just trusted that if they needed to be tested the doctors would have done that I don't know what I was thinking. I should have had them do that And we're gonna hopefully figure out what is going on They did prescribe me an antibiotic for him But he throws up every time he takes it and he's not throwing up because he doesn't want to take it He literally will take it and will throw up within like the hour or something It's obviously like not sitting well with his body. So anyways, that's what's been going on This weekend has been a complete show. It's also been extremely rainy and gloomy out, which i'm kind of loving I think it's because of the hurricane So I feel like I have so many updates for you guys, but over cold break we went to kansas and saw my family It was such a good time. So glad we were able to do that Then we got back. I got sick and then ben got sick because that's what happens after we travel scarlet's been good Hopefully it stays that way and that was pretty much our two week fall break But yeah, we'll just see what we can accomplish today. We'll see what we can get done I thought i'd pick up the camera and vlog because I really want to try out my new camera since we're gonna Probably be home most of the day today I also have a few things that I want to maybe experiment with in the kitchen like ninja creamy recipes I got ninja creamy by the way, so good. I don't know why I slept on this like I've been loving it for Protein ice creams. It is so good and i've been trying to experiment with flavors So maybe we will prep some of those today while he is laying down I'm gonna go quickly and put some laundry away and then probably go back and sit with him He has been attached to my hip since he's been sick, which is wonderful. I absolutely love it I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm gonna use this opportunity to go put some laundry away. So let's go You guys look we actually did it. He finally transitioned out of his crib into a big boy bed. And yes, it has a slide I still have to replace all of these pictures up here. They're gonna be like sports themed Look at his bedding. Look how cute this blanket is. It has like a basketball court on it. I love the colors I have a flat sheet on his bed because he vomited up medicine onto his fitted sheet And I don't have any more twin size sheets. I just use this but back to the transition He's transitioned really well to his big boy bed. It was a lot easier than it was the first time So the first time he definitely was not ready this time. He was actually excited about it Here's your sign not to rush transitions with your children until they're ready It'll just make it easier and a better experience for everyone in the long run There's a quick little overview of ben's room a little sneak peek before I actually finish it. Like this is such A dream boys room to me. I think it's turning out so cute I feel like these pictures are really gonna add once they're changed out and then I also need to steam Like that and then this needs to be steamed too because it's super wrinkly, but i'm super happy with all of this I think it's turning out so so cute Um, and he loves it, which is the most important part And then here's scarlet's room you guys the layout is so much better than it was before before It was just a little too crowded here with like the dresser and everything, but I moved her bed over to the wall We got some frames which also need to be filled but they are hung and then I also did this little section Which i'm gonna replace this frame also like the picture inside it I might get her a swinging chair, which is something she really wants and put it right here Maybe a christmas or birthday present, but we'll see Something else on my to-do list today is to book tickets for the kansas jayhawks versus the arizona wildcats game Ty and I are gonna go to it. We're so excited. They're playing in tucson. So like two hours from us We are huge kansas fans. This is kansas city. Not jayhawks. I think the medicine is working for now until it wears off and then the fever comes back You're crazy, what are we gonna do today? gym We're gonna make some breakfast and he's insisting on helping me. He's asking to go to target He's asking you to go to the gym. Can I go to target there in the gym? I know You want to go to the gym in target me too Okay, all right, oh that hurts me For breakfast i'm doing one egg two pieces of ezekiel bread and 100 grams of egg white and of course We're gonna top that with some hot honey and some red pepper flakes because that is the only way to do it It is currently 10 o'clock and he seems to be feeling a little bit better. I need to take his temperature. Here is my breakfast Looks so good. I'm also drinking this very slowly, but this is my latte. I also made ben some toast Hopefully he will eat it because he hasn't had much to eat over the past few days quick camera check-in How are we liking this? Like everything looks good in my view in my viewfinder But I hopefully when I go back to edit this video, everything looks okay I feel like it takes a couple of tries to get used to a camera I honestly just have this mainly on like automatic settings because they're pretty good and now i'm gonna quickly prep some ninja creamies And we're gonna try out some new recipes I'm kind of just like winging it to be completely honest, but I have some ideas in my head that I think will be Really good. One thing that turned me off about getting a ninja creamy was the fact that you have to prep I sound so lazy saying that but I want ice cream like I want now I don't want to have to like prep and wait if I can get in 40 grams of protein in a single serving of ice Cream i'm gonna i'm gonna do the prep We're gonna do the prep using the ninja creamy has literally helped me get my protein in so easy Anyways, let's go prep some ninja cream We're gonna build these flavor options together because i'm not entirely sure what i'm doing yet But i've got a chocolate fairlife protein shake strawberry banana Which i've never tried and I would never go for but I feel like an ice cream form. It'll be good And then we've got a regular vanilla. These are going to be our liquid base We're just going to use the clean simple eats protein powders We have a chocolate peanut butter, which I feel like needs to go with the chocolate vanilla, which Probably just needs to go here with the strawberry banana. This is mint chocolate chip. Maybe I need to do that Okay, I think this is what we're gonna do. We're just gonna work with what we have So we have a chocolate peanut butter vanilla I wish I would have had another chocolate protein drink and I would have done it with that But oh, well, this is the chocolate with mint chocolate chip cookie protein powder And then this is the strawberry banana with vanilla protein powder I love you more Let's see here Okay, do you know how to make pizza one one? Two And you can do it all by yourself, that's fine Okay, you can do it I trust Wow Well, apparently we're going to all the games because my friend brie just texted me and apparently KU is playing in london next september and they want to go Our friends brie and tim are who we went to italy with when I was pregnant with him You guys remember a long time ago almost three years ago because you're almost three She's like we should do london and portugal and spain. Oh my gosh That would be so fun and also see the jayhawks play like yeah, i'm so down How old would you be then four? Almost five when we went to italy. I think scarlet was five. So I feel like four I feel like we could do that I'd probably fly him or fly my mom out here or fly him to canvas with scarlet or something like that I'm, not sure. I don't know We'll have to figure out logistics and see if we can make that work Oh my gosh, that would be so fun. That looks so good Spread it with your finger if you want You can that's what you're supposed to do. I gotta show you the way that's what we do as kids We'd spread it. We use our finger as a knife I also always get the question about him sounding congested by the way. Um, so I thought I'd just address it here Are you about to spell this? I have um talked about this online before but he has very large tonsils 99.7 Anyways, as I was saying he has very large tonsils and adenoids and he has to get them removed But they're waiting until he turns three So that means we are slowly approaching that time frame because he turns three november third But yeah with the large tonsils He has like very bad mouth breathing and snoring just a lot of other issues that come along with mouth breathing So we have addressed it. We are taking care of it It's just a process because there's too many risks that come along with putting him under and doing the surgery Before he's three because of his airways. So unless it was an emergency, we were gonna hold off until he turns Three and i'm kind of thinking we should just wait until the beginning of next year because we don't want to do around the holidays Absolutely not, but if we have to we will but preferably wait until january just got in the car We're gonna go ahead to his doctor's appointment Now i'm trying to keep it on the dl because I think the second I say it he's gonna Possibly get upset summer fridays. Look at the little term on it. How cute is that scarlet? And I did that on mother's day. They had it at sephora. They were doing like terms on them But we are in the car a little early. I think we're gonna go drive by Starbucks to get a coffee I'll get him a cake pop because he says he really wants one and I am Literally desperate to get this kid to eat some food. He did eat a little bit that pizza lunchable So his diet is really good today, but I literally don't care because he has not been eating at all Hi, can I just get a birthday cake cake pop, please? What's the vanilla? Uh protein coffee just the iced one I don't remember what it's called. You do want the one with the foam on top or no foam So I could do like a vanilla protein. Um latte has like the protein milk. Yeah in there. That's good And you did say ice, right? Yes, please. All right. We'll see you at the window. Thank you I know a lot of people are hating on the cold foam protein like the protein cold foam Which I actually have not tried yet, but but the protein milk they use is pretty good So i'm getting a vanilla protein latte. I think there's like 20 ish grams of protein in this I'm, not entirely sure but i'll have to check on the macros He fell asleep He literally never falls asleep in the car and his car seat outside of his crib or bed or whatever He does not sleep other places So i'm a little concerned because it probably means his fever is coming back, but we just pulled up to the pediatrician Hopefully they can do some testing figure out what the heck is going on Maybe get him a new antibiotic because the one he had before was obviously not working. I think he is Allergic or something. I don't know I'm gonna sit here and drink my little protein iced coffee Let him sleep a little bit and try to do some work on my phone Because I am so behind in work stuff because i've been so preoccupied with taking care of my little sick baby toddler I just started raining outside I'm loving this rainy weather. It's been like this for the past few days. So twilight All right, say goodbye to this This is a creme brulee Croissant wheel. I don't make the rules. But every time we go to the pediatrician We have to stop up rise up bakery, which is next door to our pediatrician because it is so freaking good They're like the best and for science. I think we have to try this dubai chocolate bar that I got for scarlet A cookie on the bottom with the catastrophe or whatever it's called pistachio and chocolate on top It's not like as good as I thought it was gonna be but it's good Like I would definitely eat this whole thing. You guys are actually balancing on top of right now but I think the reason why I don't think this is as good is because I just had a bite of the creme brulee croissant wheel with this like Magical cream inside. Oh my gosh, and it's like so so delicious But the other thing we got we're gonna try for science is this pumpkin roll Oh my god you guys This isn't even warmed up and this is absolutely insane I was literally not planning on eating that much of that the pumpkin cinnamon roll. I think is actually my favorite. It is so good It's like not very pumpkin-y, but it's like the perfect consistency of everything I really want to keep eating it, but we gotta keep things in moderation here We've got goals to hit the croissant that you guys are sitting on This one was now my second favorite ben has an ear infection, it's literally it ear infections are terrible So i'm not like downplaying or anything because they literally will make you miserable. I remember having them and like terrible They're the worst thing He just hasn't acted like he has an ear infection like scarlet would like pull out her ear when she'd get them and he hasn't Done any of that. So I wasn't like fully convinced. That was the problem, but it is easy fix I think hopefully we got prescribed a new antibiotic which I gotta go pick up today and hopefully In the next 24 hours, he will be feeling a heck of a lot better. Hi. Yes for um, 11 3 2022 The other one Yes, we don't need the amoxicillin anymore Thank you as i'm driving home. His prescription was ready to be picked up. So perfect timing. I can't pass it. He's taking a great nap I actually laid down with him and fell asleep for a solid 30 minutes before scarlet got home from school Which she's right here, by the way, she's eating that. Um, what's it called? Dubai chocolate bar that I got at the bakery today She said it's really good, but I did just put on some gym clothes I'm gonna go try to get a workout in as soon as ty gets here. We're gonna swap off I'm gonna go work out. I feel like i've been off my game lately with traveling. I've just been slightly out of routine I also didn't get tickets booked for the football game. We're trying to go to I was gonna book tickets But then I couldn't really communicate with ty because he had a busy busy day at work So we are just gonna do it tonight, but we do need to get those booked today So we need to do that tonight. We're not cooking dinner because we have meal preps that I just got from Prep by breck the one who does the coffee too these right here They're just like simple protein and sweet potato or there's like protein and rice They're my favorite and they're just so easy to have on hand. I did posterior chain mainly so did some deadlifts did some Underhand lat pulldowns did some what else? RDLs all the things but I am going to eat my meal eat my dinner and get the kids to bed and then probably try to sit down and work at my computer since I haven't really been able to do much today because you know sick kids mom like that.
