CRAZY 2021 R1 turns into a MONSTER! (Finally ECU Flash)

What the ****? This is stupid. This, this is stupid. Have you ever had a dream that, that you, um, you had? Let me start off the video right here. You guys know I got the 2021. Well, the ECU flash just came out after two years of people waiting for this ECU to be flashed and be unlocked. Yeah, I'm on, I'm on a public road. I reached out to SoCal Superbikes and they just unlocked it. Now we're here. I babied it here so I didn't feel it. So you guys could get the most raw reaction and thoughts. But one thing I can tell is when I released the clutch, it's way more smoother because it was running lean before. That's why my exhaust is already discoloring because it was just getting so damn hot. This guy's probably really confused. I'm good. Yeah, I'm all good. I'm recording. You're all good. Thank you. I knew he was going to come up and say something. There's still good people out there. Let's go find out what this thing does. I'm actually going to let him get a little bit ways up. I'm really freaking excited because you get an R1, it's like, I know what an R1 feels like. This definitely does have more than a stock R1. And then once I did the exhaust and the air filter, it felt a lot better, but it was running lean. One thing I did notice is right here. Before, I would have to like rev it up a couple of times and be like extra loud for no reason so that it wouldn't stall on me. But now it's actually really smooth. It's like this. It's got that grace period where it doesn't want to actually die anymore, which is really nice. Because before, it just wanted to freaking die. I don't know how we're doing 50 already. Literally, in my head, I think I'm doing like 25. No, wait, do we still have the pop pops? That's important. Hold on, let's see. Whoa, smooth. All right, so before, low RPMs on the quick shift and the auto blip were kind of jerky. Really smooth. And that's fairly low. Oh, ----. Guys, I know my bikes, right? I know how to wheelie my bikes. I did not expect that much kick. Like, look, look. Literally, I'm moving my wrist. I'm at roughly six and a half, six. And I'm going to move my wrist about a quarter of the way. And that's front wheel off the ground already. And literally, it's not even like we're gunning it. So now we're in second gear. Oh, ----. This is a bike now that before you could ride with one hand. Now you need both hands every single time. Holy. Oh, we're still there. What the? That was stupid. I still can't believe it wheelied like that. Like, I short shifted into second instantly because I was like, whoa. It's a completely different bike. Now I got to relearn this thing. Yes, I ride in power one. My ride with lift control off. Slide control is at two. Track control is at three. Engine braking is at one. See how now I can pull off like a regular normal bike instead of this? That's how I used to take off because I had to. Is no one going to go? All right. Well, I'm just as incisive as you guys. That was literally the most minimal pull ever. Ever. I was literally barely trying. I was just trying to get up to speed, but it throws me back so much now. Now I got a real hard one. A real hard one that's like out of control. You guys thought it was out of control before. I literally sat back and I was so quiet. When you guys watch the exhaust video, everybody was talking about like how crazy the bike is. And I'm sitting there rubbing my hands together like, uh-huh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I hear you guys. I hear you guys, but I know what's coming. I'm going. Don't hit me. Thank you. It's just the G-Force. It's the G-Force that's behind it. Whoa there. I wonder where you're at. I should take her to the dyno. What the fudge? I didn't mean to. Listen, I'm not like trying to be in a pool right now. I'm trying to get a couple pools in, but I'm going into some back roads so I can have a little bit more open area, less driveways, less people to, you know, kill me. Stuff like that. And the funny thing is in SoCal, they just got it out, right? And they told me the first few customers just got this thing and they were like, dude, this is ridiculous. Like stupid. And I know what an R1 is. I don't know these riders. I don't know if like they just bought their first 1000. I was like, I'll just wait, you know, see what it feels like. So far, I'm shitting my brakes. Ooh, those little few pops. Oh my gosh. Auto bluffing is now smoother than ever. You don't feel it. Like it rev matches perfectly. It's smooth. The bike is smoother, but more powerful. And as smooth as it is, it's also like uncontrollable because it will shoot you in the face. That make sense? Like you saw that wobble in the front. I'm used to it, but it was also more intense. And I'm like, dude, I'm not even trying. But down low, the bike feels a lot better. The mid-range is insane. Insane. And I haven't even went open throttle yet. I haven't went open throttle. I'm waiting till I get to this one road, but these are not the roads to be doing this. That was a cop right there. See what I'm talking about? Ooh, a little popski. It's like they seem like they fight harder. Like not that you feel it, but it sounds like it fights harder. It's like, let's go. I can finally release the clutch. I'm so excited. It was so bad. I like didn't want to go through town or anywhere with stoplights. Oh my gosh. Let me focus. Let me not dock. Do what we always do. All the damn fight down. Wait till I have a nice little gap. I'm going to need a bigger gap. And now I can see everything. Alright, first gear. Guess who's not doing wheelies in tire 1 anymore? Not this guy. It's not happening. What the ****? First and second didn't hit like that before. Oh my god. It didn't like snap at me. Like, dude, I will kick you. The bike's basically like, I will **** you off if you like test me. And of course, I test my bikes. You know what I mean? I also respect them enough to not even like go there. Does that make any bit of sense? I wanted to wait, but there's so much traffic. Why does it got to be rush hour? How much caffeine have I had to take? This is again with no lift control on. So that's why it's kind of just like bonkers. You can't keep it down in first gear. That's ridiculous. That last two was supposed to start. This is stupid. Damn. There's a lot of horse trailers. To answer your guys' questions, yes. Someone's probably like, what is he talking about? What's he talking about? And someone out there knows exactly what I was about to say. And I'm going to tell you. When someone out there right now is like, no way. No way. Yeah, I'm taking this. I'm tracking this thing. Not now, but I'm going to build it. And then when I'm ready, I'm going to take it to the track. Yeah, I'm just going to ride this on the street. No, it's dangerous on the street. I know that. I want to track this monster. We're going to have a little bit of our fun while we got it. Just got to be smart. There's a time and place for everything. Don't forget that. This thing's a literal monster. Like before, it was a monster. But now it's like a beast. Like a full-fledged beast. The punch that I get to my torso and my throat. Yes, this is on 93 octane. Do I know what I'm pushing down? Basically, what was needed to be done with this bike before I actually take off is... You have to, like, trick the system, essentially, to go to European files instead of American files. I don't get it. It's ECU talk. SoCal explained everything to me. Helped me through the process. You switch a couple things around. It's good. It took me maybe 15 minutes to do the whole thing, which is... From breaking the bike down to putting the ECU in. Really quick, easy process. All right. Like, what the fudge? Oh, I gotta go to two. I have to go to two! What for? Because I can't do this on the straight! I don't know what crazy person... ...needs all this! Holy crap. Why is this thing so fast? That's the real question! That's the real freaking question! Like, why? Why, SoCal? Why? Let me give you a little bit of a backstory. SoCal basically teamed up with SLR Tuning and got this thing done. I believe the ZX10s, the new ZX10s, are still locked. They're ECUs. I don't know why Japanese companies are like, you know what? FUS, like, we're gonna mess up these ECUs so they can't unlock them, right? I don't know if it's a mission thing or what. Maybe if you know, drop it in the comments. But, regardless of the fact, they have been locked for two years. And they just got unlocked, I want to say, about a month ago. SoCal stepped in, made sure everything got done right.
