Dara DiGerolamo Talks About Directing a Segment on American Idol Through Det's Directing Program!

Lights look great. We all set? I'm Dara DiGirolamo. I'm an unscripted director with the Disney Entertainment Television Directing Program. And I just completed directing a segment on American Idol. Please welcome your iconic Idol judges. Being a part of this unscripted program has really fast-tracked my opportunity to get a directing position on a show like American Idol. OK, this is great. OK, we'll get a three shot of them all. Unscripted moves fast. It's live, and you have one chance to get it right. 360 around her. The spider cam, the two technos, the rail cam. Having those options as a director in a live show, it's everything. These boys are fired up back here. Hey, come on. Disney has curated these mixers, has given us an opportunity to network with producers, and directors, and creators of Disney, Hulu, and ABC shows. I haven't had this many meetings in probably my whole career. The more you do it, the more confident you get. And that's what the program's about, is giving you the opportunity to do more reps, get more experience, so you can have that confidence to take with you in the future.
