Bublik faces Tabilo; De Minaur, Khachanov & Griekspoor in Action | Vienna 2025 Day 1 Highlights

Both painting the lines. Exquisite combination, just a bit more pace off the penultimate backhand. Wraps it up in style, which came to life in the right moment. Time to be called. Oh yes, he has smoked that forehand. Yes, he's got him. There's not too much wrong with that Bublik backhand. A nice finish and a nice start to Alexander Bublik's week. What a match for a little while. His first victory since that title in Hangzhou. Who knows, might be the start of something impressive here in Vienna. Oh, what a combination that is. Finished off with some feather-like touch. There we go. That's a good volley, really nice to see him getting forward. That's another lung buster. And the old mantra, take your opportunities. Rodionov had two early chances to break serve. Oh, it's wondrous. Unbelievable skill from Diminor. So quick, that's all about course speed. Gave himself the best possible opportunity. It's hit the girders and Rodionov has hit the buffers here. He's been outplayed and congratulations to Alex Diminor. Victory number 300 for his career at tour level. That's a wonderful, that's well played. Goodness me. With what we've seen so far. Nice mix up there, good touch, making good decisions here, big sport. There it is. Big sport takes full advantage of a dip in level out of nowhere. Comfortably. Maybe he was listening. Okay. He has dragged himself through some difficult moments here. There it is. Oh, he's found a way through. Oh, goodness me, has he made that? I think he has. Gisbo has that winning feeling for the first time in quite a while. Just his fourth victory since lifting the title in Mallorca in June. Hard fought and it's another early defeat, sadly for last year's runner-up here, Karen Khachanov. To his week. Yes, he's got it. Beautifully redirected forehand pass in the final. Very good. Right place, right time. Nakashima goes through in straights. All in all, a pretty clean performance from the American.
