Which space is considered to be a great mystery by many researchers?
In fact, we don't know anything about what's going on outside our Earth.
Most of the observations are based on theories,
and most of the new discoveries raise more questions than answers.
For many people, this is what the fascination with space is all about.
What is hidden there? Where did it come from?
Is it still developing?
And of course, is there an intelligent life somewhere outside our world?
Here are 5 interesting discoveries made in recent years,
which researchers are still working on,
and which should explain at least some of the questions.
We're leaving Earth, the only known home for us,
to go to the furthest corners of space.

Let's start our journey through the vastness of the universe.
Supernova 1987A
Supernova is probably one of the most exciting phenomena in space observed by scientists.
More precisely, it is the moment just before the death of a star.
Throughout history, people from different eras and regions of the world
could observe a supernova in the sky.
Already in the 11th century, there were mentions of scientists
talking about how new and very bright,
glowing objects suddenly appeared in the sky and disappeared after a while.
For example, Supernova from 1604 is one of the first fully documented events in the starry sky,
which even then caused a discussion and debunked some popular theories at that time.
Thanks to Supernova 1987A,
even more information about what can happen in distant galaxies was obtained.
Supernova 1987A was the first case,
which NASA and other experts engaged in space research
could observe using relatively modern technology.
It was no longer necessary to rely on records from the past,
but it was possible to track the supernova's course in the sky
using various modern measurements.
This particular supernova was interesting for various reasons.
It is the first case in which its previous form, a star, was identified.
It was known, and when it finally imploded,
Supernova could be attributed to the same star.
What's more, the event did not go exactly as planned by science.
There was no strong radiation,
and it was not possible to predict whether the neutron star arose directly.
Supernova 1987A is still being analyzed in terms of its evolution.
So far, it has been possible to determine the emission of neutrons.
Just before the event could be seen in the sky,
transmitters reported their increased emission.
Scientists could therefore observe important particles,
which make up a significant part of the Universe and its stars.
Nuclear pasta.
Nuclear pasta is not the name of the product you get
if you place an order just before the restaurant closes.
It is probably one of the most massive and dense materials known in the Universe.
Researchers assume that this special mass is formed when a star collapses.
The remaining parts often gather around the remaining nucleus.
So far, there have been no clear observations.
The awareness that this nuclear pasta exists is based more on calculations.
What's special about it is that it denies the laws of nature,
which is why it is a degenerated matter.
The special feature of this matter is that it can be created in a few moments.
A short moment in which a planet or a star collides with its entire mass
is one of the most impressive events in space.
All the energy has to dissipate somewhere,
and the remnants of the planet with all its atoms and neutrons have to form again.
Due to the mass and force of attraction, a nuclear pasta is formed,
which can undoubtedly be called the strongest material known to date.
According to the calculations of scientists from the USA and Canada,
to break the nuclear pasta back into its components,
you need at least 10 million times more force than the one needed to destroy steel.
In addition, due to the constantly increasing density,
it can be assumed that the force of the nuclear pasta will still grow during the process of collapse.
It is not known, however, what happens to it eventually
and whether fragments of this pasta can already be found in space.
Haumea, the dwarf planet of Neptune with rings.
Neptune with its composition and moons is one of the planets that are not known to date.
The subject of discussion was the question of whether Pluto is a planet in itself
or just a dwarf planet that is in the orbit of Neptune.
Studies aimed at finding answers to this question could be the reason
why two teams of scientists managed to find another dwarf planet, Haumea.
At first glance, this is not unusual at all,
because Neptune has many different objects in its orbit.
However, it is interesting that Haumea has its own ring,
which is an extremely rare phenomenon for a dwarf planet.
A special feature is also the shape of this planet, which is also rare.
Haumea resembles an ellipse.
What's more, it seems that it has its own moons and an orbit similar to Pluto,
thanks to which most of the planets of the Solar System can meet for a short time.
To sum up, the planet is rare and it seems to question
typical observations and discoveries about objects in our Solar System.
The key to most secrets can be found in the past of Haumea,
but these are just theories.
It is known that there are other objects with their own rings,
such as the asteroid Chariklo, which is much smaller than Haumea.
Scientists suspect that Haumea could once be much larger
and collide with another object.
This event could also be an explanation for the moons and rings
that were formed around Haumea.
KITS 8462852, Tabby's Star.
Tabby's Star shines brightly in the sky, which attracted the attention of researchers.
While most stars and planets show only slight differences in brightness,
Tabby's Star showed declines in brightness reaching even 16%.
The results were quickly interpreted in many different ways.
For example, there were ideas about a planetary explosion
or constructions or buildings built by aliens.
The years of observation brought many other explanations.
A strong difference in star brightness should be, for example,
explained mainly by interplanetary dust.
It sometimes seems to have a significant impact on star brightness.
Unfortunately, as in the case of most space research,
it is only a theory.
Quasars.
For a long time, people have wondered what quasars are.
Eventually, it was determined that they are very special forms of active galaxies.
Observed quasars are usually perceived as a point
which seems to be particularly bright
and which emits strong radiation most often.
In contrast to a star or a planet, it is not a supernova particle energy,
but an active galaxy, which usually has a strong black hole in the center.
Due to the constant attraction by the black hole,
friction and heat are generated,
which ultimately translates into energy generation.
Quasars occur in many different shapes and colors.
They are an important part of the current research on black holes in space.
Of course, these are just a few mysteries that the universe is still hiding.
Which other events and phenomena, which are not well known,
have anything to do with the universe?
