Orlando, Florida is renowned for hosting some of the world's best theme parks.
However, beyond these famous attractions, the Orlando area also offers a wealth of outstanding
non-theme park experiences.
In this video, you'll discover 10 fantastic outdoor and 10 amazing indoor attractions,
all conveniently located within a 30-minute drive from the theme parks.
Starting with Orlando's Top 10 Outdoor Attractions.
Number 10 is Old Town Kissimmee.
Boasting a 4.6 out of 5 star rating on Google, Old Town Kissimmee is a unique and enduring
destination.
This attraction has been a local favorite for years, offering a variety of shops, kid-friendly
activities, live music, car shows, and restaurants.
Strolling through the charming streets of Old Town Kissimmee is an experience you won't
want to miss, with plenty to see and enjoy.
Number 9 on our list is the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
With a 4.3 out of 5 star rating on Google, located just 30 minutes north of Universal
Studios, this is the closest zoo to the theme parks, though Animal Kingdom is also considered
a zoo.
If you're seeking a non-theme park zoo experience, this is the place to be.
You'll encounter over 100 animals, enjoy a train ride, ziplines, beautiful gardens, and
much more.
Number 8 is the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour, boasting a 4.8 star rating.
If you're looking for a unique experience outside of the theme parks, this tour is perfect
for you.
Enjoy a one-hour guided tour of the lakes of Winter Park, where you'll see some wildlife,
beautiful homes, and glide through picturesque canals.
Number 7 is Conga River Golf in Kissimmee, with a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Google.
If your family loves mini-golf as much as ours does, then this is a must-visit spot.
It's the best mini-golf course in all of Central Florida.
For a more enjoyable experience, I recommend playing at night when it's cooler and you're
not dealing with the sun's heat.
Number 6 is Marsh Landing Adventures, featuring a 4.7 star rating.
Taking a break from the theme parks for an airboat ride is highly recommended, and Marsh
Landing Adventures is one of the best options available.
Conveniently located near Orlando, they offer a variety of tour lengths, including 1-hour,
90-minute, 2-hour, and even longer tours.
Number 5 is the Orlando Star Flyer, with a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Google.
Thrill-seekers, this one's for you!
Take a ride on the world's tallest standalone swing ride, soaring 400 feet above international
drive.
This exhilarating ride offers the best views of the area and I highly recommend experiencing
it at sunset.
While the Orlando Star Flyer might seem a bit intimidating, it's a healthy scare that
you didn't know you needed in your life.
Number 4 is Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park, boasting a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Google.
Prepare for an exciting experience with 97 different aerial challenges and a 425-foot-long
zip line.
This attraction is great fun for kids aged 6 and up and is just as enjoyable for adults.
My uncle had a blast doing this, and he's 40 years old!
Number 3 is Wekiva Island, with a 4.6 out of 5 rating on Google.
Once you visit this one-of-a-kind attraction, you'll forget that the bustling theme parks
and Orlando area are less than 30 minutes away.
This refreshing oasis offers canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, delicious food, strong drinks,
and live music.
Most importantly, it's a fantastic way to cool off from the hot Florida heat.
Number 2 is Gatorland, with a 4.6 out of 5 star rating.
It's impossible to visit Orlando without seeing a billboard for Gatorland, and for good reason.
This fantastic attraction offers close encounters with massive alligators, live demonstrations,
zip lines, and plenty of kid-friendly activities.
Children will also love the barnyard petting zoo.
Gatorland is an experience I highly recommend.
Orlando's top outdoor attraction that isn't a theme park is Discovery Cove, with a 4.8
star rating on Google.
Although it's not officially classified as a theme park, Discovery Cove offers a unique
experience that you won't find anywhere else.
This all-inclusive paradise offers unforgettable experiences, and it's truly phenomenal.
While the highlight is the one-on-one dolphin encounter, it's also hard to beat the unlimited
food and drinks and the other exciting animal attractions.
The Grand Reef is truly amazing.
Swimming alongside a variety of fish in this setting is an experience you shouldn't miss.
I chose not to include Disney Springs and City Walk on this top 10 list, since they
are major entertainment destinations attractions that are next to or near theme parks.
While I do recommend visiting both, I wanted to clarify why they aren't featured here.
If you're seeking great ways to escape the heat, I highly recommend checking out these
next 10 indoor attractions in Orlando.
Number 10 is WonderWorks.
With a 4.3 out of 5 rating on Google, prepare for hours of fun at this hands-on attraction,
which features over 100 exhibits designed to challenge your mind and spark your imagination.
I especially enjoyed the Extreme Weather Zone area.
If you're craving a bit of speed, you'll definitely want to check out the next attraction
on the list.
Number 9 is Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.
With a 4.3 out of 5 rating.
Located just off Universal Boulevard near the new Epic Universe theme park, this attraction
offers something for everyone.
Inside you'll find go-karts, laser tag, interactive bowling, and so much more.
The highlight here is definitely the go-karts.
They're incredibly fun and a must-try.
Number 8 is Main Event Orlando.
With a 4.3 out of 5 rating.
This is the go-to spot for bowling in Orlando, especially if you enjoy cosmic bowling.
In addition to bowling, you can experience escape rooms, rope climbs, blacklight, mini-golf,
billiards, and arcade games all under one roof.
Number 7 is Sea Life Orlando Aquarium.
With a 4.4 out of 5 rating.
As the largest aquarium in Central Florida, it offers a fantastic alternative to SeaWorld.
I highly recommend visiting to experience Florida's only 360-degree ocean tunnel.
It's truly spectacular.
While it may not be the biggest aquarium around, Sea Life Orlando provides a few hours of great
entertainment.
Number 6 is Orlando H-Tours.
With a 4.8 out of 5 rating.
Prepare to enjoy stunning views of the theme parks and international drive from 1,000 feet
above sea level.
One great feature of this attraction is that there's no age requirement, and kids under
2 fly for free.
With two locations in the main Orlando tourist area, this is an amazing experience for everyone.
And honestly, you cannot beat the price.
Number 5 is Desertland Park.
Featuring a 4.5 rating on Google, they promoted themselves as Florida's largest indoor attraction.
It offers something for everyone under one roof.
You'll find activities like axe throwing, a Cinemark movie theater, go-karts, bowling,
a trampoline park, and the Orlando Auto Museum.
You can easily spend hours here without ever stepping outside.
Number 4 is the Escape Game Orlando, boasting a perfect 5 out of 5 star rating on Google
from over 12,000 reviews.
This Orlando attraction features 7 different escape rooms, each with its own unique theme
and storyline.
If you haven't tried an escape room before, you're definitely missing out.

description of this video.
Number 3 is the Outta Control Dinner Show with a 4.8 out of 5 star rating on Google.
While it may not be the largest or most elaborate dinner show, it offers a fantastic magic show
filled with awe, laughter, and smiles.
Remarkably, this is Orlando's longest-running dinner show.
The experience is a great value, including unlimited pizza, salad, beer, wine, soda,
and dessert.
You really can't beat the price for the fun you'll have.
Number 2 is iFly Orlando Indoor Skydiving with a 4.6 out of 5 star rating.
If you've ever dreamed of flying or secretly think you're a superhero, you have to try
iFly.
The experience is incredibly surreal and hard to describe.
Once you're floating in the wind tunnel, it feels uniquely amazing.
Be sure to check out their website for discounts to help you save some money.
Number 1 for beating the Florida heat indoors is The Wheel at Icon Park, which has a 4.6
star rating.
Icon Park is a must-visit destination, featuring some of the best restaurants on International
Drive as well as attractions like the Orlando Star Flyer and Sea Life Orlando.
However, the standout feature here is the wheel itself.
A massive ferris wheel offering a 20-minute ride that ascends over 400 feet above International
Drive.
From the top, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, Epic
Universe and SeaWorld Orlando.
The wheel's climate-controlled gondolas ensure a comfortable ride.
And for the best experience, I recommend riding during the day or at sunset.
While riding at night is cool, you really can't see too far off in the distance.
