This video is a gentle reminder to romanticize the small things — the sound of waves, the comfort of tea, and the quiet warmth of home. Autumn invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.
Welcome to Blissful Country Life, today I'm sharing a cozy autumn day, let's first start
with a stay at the charming English Country Manor here in Limington in New Forest, it's called the
Elmer's Court. The manor felt timeless with gardens glowing in soft autumn light, the hedges,
the late blooms and winding paths invited a gentle wander. Every corner seemed to hold a story,
stone walls climbing ivy and quiet benches where you could sit and simply breathe.
the simple ritual of making tea felt calming, a quiet pause in the middle of the day.
I'm hushed, I'm winded to the bay, see the troops for another, I sing this softly to myself,
I sing this softly to myself,
I'm buried in the sand, there's no way to speak or reach out my hand, watching the paper
slowly unfold, bracing for news that I can't bear to hold, I'm singing this song to myself,
I sing this softly to myself, tuck my jeans on the fence.
Next we wandered along the New Forest coast, breathing in the crisp salty air,
wild ponies moved briefly nearby, grazing calmly and adding a sense of peacefulness to the scene.
Later we stopped at a quaint coastal pub for a Sunday roast,
the perfect blend of local flavours and cozy autumn charms.
kneading the dough, drizzling it with olive oil and sprinkling it with rosemary and tomato,
the kitchen filled with that comforting scent, a quiet reminder of home and warmth.
This autumn day reminded me of how much joy there is in slowing down,
wandering through gardens, walking along the coast and making something simple.
Thank you for sharing it with me on Blissful Country Life.
