I picked up this RC helicopter mainly because of its modern military-style design — it looks just like a real combat chopper in miniature form. But once I started flying it, I was honestly impressed by its performance. The one-key takeoff and landing feature makes it easy to control, and the 6-axis gyro stabilization gives it a surprisingly smooth and stable flight. In this video, we’ll go through its design, build quality, features, and real-world flight experience to see how well this military-style RC helicopter actually performs.

What's up guys? So today we are checking
out this F12 Night Guard helicopter. It
is a 3.5 channel RC helicopter uses 2.4
GHz frequency. It's called night guard.
And if you ask me one simple question
like why did you buy it? I mean among
other helicopters it does not have like
way many smart features, no camera and
things like that. And my answer would be
simply the beauty of the product itself.
I mean I have tried many Royal
helicopter. They look old style. This
one on the other hand looks modern. It
is in green color
like the navy or the army. It has six
axis gyroscope, a USB charging cable,
3.5 channel, 2.4 GHz frequency, typical
stuff. And this is the helicopter in
itself which somehow is floating inside
the product. And you can see I mean it
is a modern looking chopper instead of
the old style that you usually get in to
bought it only for its beauty. I'm not
sure how it will hold. Maybe it will be
just trash. I don't know. But it looked
beautiful. I bought it and uh uh
depending on where you live like the
country you can buy it from AliExpress
around $30. It depends on the again the
location and whether there is a sale or
not. You can even buy it like around $18
during sale times and the during other
times it can be around $28. Depends. So
it's not that expensive of toy. Let's
see if it lives up to its beauty.
This is concerning that it is just
floating around.
I hope it is not damaged in any way. It
looks fine at least.
All right,
let's remove this part.
It's an okay plastic job. I mean, the
plastic does feel a little cheap and
more lighter than you would expect. So,
and same is the case with the paint job.
Even though camera might tell you like
it looks more fun, but I would say it is
decent plastic and paint job. Decent,
not great. Okay. There are some other
stuff which will be
remote control.
Yeah. And
what is this? Some extra
wings. These and these as well. Smaller
ones. And the charging cable. A tiny
little screwdriver. I hate that this is
an old style USB cable. I would have
preferred something like micro at least
or USB type-C. I mean USB type-C is a
wish, but micro would have been fine.
But we have what we have. And uh
let's see what goes inside here. Trip
three AAA batteries inside the remote.
And the battery goes somewhere around
here.
I think this area, if I remember
correctly
from the description, it should pop out
and
like this. This is the battery.
You will bring it out like this.
And it is inside it. It is typical some
kind of uh battery which you should be
able to it is a 4,000 mAh battery
3.7 volts I think. And uh you should be
able to find it on the market as well if
there is something wrong with it. If you
want to get an extra battery, this is
just a compartment inside it. So I think
you should be able to just open it up.
If my assumption is correct, this area
is should be openable and you should be
able to change the battery.
But that's not the main thing we are
doing here. I hope it has some charge
so that I can use look chopper
directly. We will uh switch to action
camera when
headmounted action camera once we go to
the actual testing part. So don't worry
about it. I'm just showing you the parts
in closeup. Then we will switch to the
other part. Okay. It needs to go inside
it.
Oh,
needs go like this
and then it should go inside further.
I don't
I hope I don't break it before even
testing it.
It should go something like this.
Okay, the direction is really important.
So, how do I tell you which side to put
it in?
This side should be on the top. These
two bars and the single bar should be on
on the bottom. If in case you are
worried about which side goes up and
down, I figured out by looking at the
pins inside. All right, we have the
click sound. Let's close it up. Okay,
then cover it.
And we have back
again. And if you ask me why did I buy
it and my answer would be simply its
beauty like and in this angle I mean you
have a look at yourself
right doesn't it look cool
based on the other toys that you have
seen it looks much better way better so
we will see how it lives up to its other
functionalities by taking it outside.
But beauty wise, I still really like it.
I mean, even if it is sitting on your
shelf,
okay, it would or on your table, it
would still look cool to see.
All right, time to test it out. Uh, this
is the onoff button at the bottom.
Battery goes here. You need to remove
the battery to use it. And uh that's
pretty much it. I guess I already showed
you how to change the battery and charge
it. This is the remote. And look at the
joysticks. I mean, man, the joysticks.
Look at the length. I This is the first
time I have seen an RC helicopter which
has these many these long joysticks. And
it's not bad. I mean, but still they
kind of
look a little bit higher in length,
lengthier than others. We have this on
off button. This is for rotate left.
This is for rotate right. No, this is
for forward backward. I have to study
this quickly and then install the
batteries. So let me install the
batteries quickly and quickly study the
docks so that I can tell you the meaning
of these buttons and then we'll quickly
go to the testing quickly quickly.
All right. So I have studied the
controls and one thing I'm happy to tell
you is that it supports one key takeoff
and landing. Uh the center button which
is this one which says up arrow and down
arrow is the onoff takeoff and landing.
So you press it, it will auto it will
take on and will remain steady at
certain height and then you press it
again it will come down. This is left
rotation trim, right rotation trim. All
these toy helicopters with uh drones and
these have these rotation trimming and I
have never understood them. I will
probably search it. But if you guys know
that what what does these do? Like what
is what do you mean by left rotation
frame or right rotation frame? I never
understand them. So I never use them. So
I'll probably be not be using them right
now. So you have on off button indicator
light. This is one of takeoff and
landing. This one is to increase the
speed like uh sand descend descend. So
increase the height. And this joystick
is four-way. So you can go up uh forward
backward left right the those kind of
things you can control with that. So
this controls direction this ascend
descend one of
one key takeoff landing these buttons
are rotation framing which I don't
understand I and I hope you guys will
tell me in the comment that what does
that mean? This is on off indicator
light. All right it's time to test it
out. And what I'm going to do is again
let me show you the it is nice of them
to send tiny screwdriver so that you can
like use to disassemble the battery
compartment and other things. Extra
wings are here. So it is nice of them.
Overall accessories wise and product
wise I think it justifies its price. I
we will see how it works in operation
wise but right now so far so good. I'm
going to change the camera to an action
camera and we will test it out in a
hall.
All right.
Now, we are using a different camera.
So, you may see like different results.
Don't mind them. There will be a maybe a
blurriness because it is nighttime. I'm
using the Insta 360 Go 3S. So, I hope
you guys can capture the full view and
don't mind the noise.
Okay.
And we are in pairing mode like P
pairing has been completed.
Now, let's give it a gentle push.
All right. So far so good. Now I'm going
to pass this lift off.
Wow.
It is you. Did you see
the smoothness of its takeoff was
amazing? Let's try the landing.
Wow,
I am impressed.
I mean
the it is it was so smooth. I have seen
other tri helicopters but their take off
sometimes feels very jerky like like
this like this. So but it was so smooth
even when their wings start really
amazing
and let me give you the push. And now
observe how
easily it goes above.
See like it's like a very straight line.
And now I can use left, right.
I hope you guys can see it as well.
Need to see my action cam. See,
see how stable it is. There is no
obstacle avoidance. So, don't fry the
walls. But I mean, look at it.
Let's try the forward mode.
It is very stable. I mean, this is
something I have to like give it to. It
is stable. Like, give let me move it
forward.
See, I mean, it is moving forward.
Usually when helicopters move forward
they tilt a bit but it is not doing
that. So there is some kind of
stabilization there
and see let me bring it down a little
bit and it it's down up and down motion
is also really smooth.
I mean
I have to say that I am impressed.
I wasn't expecting this kind of quality
and stabilization from this helicopter.
Trust me, I just bought it for its
beauty and I wasn't even expecting a 1K
key takeoff and landing. And I mean it's
amazing.
This is the best of all the toy
helicopters I have tried so far.
And now let's
And is very responsive as well.
It's so easy to fly it. See,
see how stable the flight is, man.
It's coming back.
I mean, look at it.
I love it. And if you're looking for my
recommendation,
you have it.
Go for it if you want to buy something
like this. Uh
and I think my even I am loving it and
I'm sure my kids will love it too.
Let me see if I'm capturing it
correctly.
This is the problem with the action
cams. Let's see how much fly time it
takes. It's been few minutes since I
started it.
Okay. And this is I'm getting the beep.
That means the battery
is going out. Let's see how it how what
it does when the battery goes down. Does
it just fall down or does does it gently
lands down?
It's nice that the remote is giving the
battery low indicator.
Go up. Oh,
okay. So, it landed itself down
automatically and now so I would say
around 4 minutes and again I did not
charge the battery. It came out of the
box with that battery. So flight time I
would say around 5 minutes but I am
impressed
with its flight. It was so amazing to
fly it. uh often even in this big hall
that we have uh when we try to fly the
helicopter you can see there is one
sitting right here so it's not that I
have tried it first time see this was
expenses expensive as well but it had no
one take coffin landing and no
stabilization so it stopped working
after I mean it still rotates its wings
but it stopped flying correctly after
just 2 days and there will be other
helicopters smaller ones as and they
keep like colliding left and right but
this one nothing like that.
So really impressed. Again you will find
the link in the video description uh for
different platform uh especially
AliExpress from where I ordered it. I
hope you like it and find it up to your
standards. I really enjoyed it. You can
see this tiny helicopter that just broke
yesterday. So my son was playing a bit
with it, but this this is the by far the
best one I have ever tried since I
started this channel. So I hope you guys
like it and do let me know about these
buttons. Left or right frame rotation,
what does that mean? Because I never use
them and I will be waiting for your
feedback. Take great care of yourself
and bye.
