Hey guys, welcome to the channel and welcome back to another video on this video I want to talk to you guys about Four things that we need to start looking at doing as we go into the next year guys 2023 is right around the corner a couple of weeks away So there's some things that I want to talk to you about real quickly on this video To help you start to think in a way that pushes you to do things Differently with your money in the upcoming year so that you can come out of the next year in a better shape than you are Going into this year. Leave that comment for me below guys So first things first get your skills up as we enter the new year Figure out how you're going to get new skills that are going to pay you more money Right, if you don't want to live in poverty, right you have to get higher paying skills The one thing that keeps a lot of people poor in a society where there's opportunities all around us Is not having the right skills is not having higher paying skills, right? You have to become more valuable to the marketplace so that you can have more money more income Income is going to be based on your skills. Not the hours that you work, right? Don't don't worry about working a thousand hours We're about working 40 hours in the right skill That's a higher paying skill if that means trade school school If that means some type of college where you get a specific degree, then you need to be doing that guys But you have to get those skills up so you can make more money You have to increase your income and the best way to do that is become Get higher paying more valuable skills that the labor market is going to pay you more money to have Right, some of those skills might be entrepreneurship, right? You may be a business person, but you've got to get those skills up and get the education you need So that you can have more money, right? Income is going to follow the skill set that you have if you have a desirable skill set That's willing to pay a hundred dollars an hour in the marketplace Then you're gonna make you're not gonna be poor you're gonna make a hundred dollars an hour But if you have a skill set that is only willing to pay you fourteen dollars an hour to have Then that's all you're gonna make is fourteen dollars an hour get your skills set up, right? No matter what it takes for you get more skills so you can make more money and become more valuable to the marketplace Okay. Now the second thing I want you to think about doing is guys is let's change shift our focus from the bling-bling and the flashy And the showy stuff right stop believing change your mindset and stop believing that wealth is flashy It's not flashy real wealth is not seen. It's quiet. It's hidden, right? You don't have to show your wealth too Many of us are trying to worry about looking rich instead of actually trying to be wealthy, right? But we have to I'm not saying telling telling you to worship money or anything like that I'm not telling you to go out and or live like a pauper or live, you know live like a you know Like you don't have nothing. I'm not saying that at all I'm saying make sure you don't worry about trying to be so flashy with money, right? Of course You don't want to worship money and you don't want to worship the celebrities that show all their money Right and all their fame and fancy cars big watches gold chains, whatever that may be right fancy trips designer stuff All those things that stuff doesn't mean anything in the big picture of having wealth, right? Start focusing on the substance not the not the outfit All right, but the the fancy sitting on a beach in Dubai, right all of that stuff That stuff is what you know, they want us to focus on. Let's not focus on that. Let's shift the way we think I'm not saying don't have fun now, right? I'm not saying Not have a good time and enjoy life. I'm not telling you that at all Enjoy life have fun handle your business first though and don't worry about trying to look the part and Look like you have a lot most people that look like they have a lot of money They don't necessarily have a lot of money They can just it's easy to look like you have a lot of money, but we got to get away from that mind frame Okay. Now the other thing I want us to think about Number three is we got to build something, right? You have to start building something creating something right Starting some producing something right whether it's a biz that had to necessarily be a business But you have to start creating something that's meaningful Lasting and that will be around here years from now when you're not here many of us were taught or conditioned Not to build or produce but just to consume and I'm saying get away from that consumer mindset, right? Consumers just store things up for themselves and consume for the sales ask yourself What are you actually creating for the next generation right now starting this next year, right? What are you building that's going to be around a hundred years later after you're gone We got to start thinking like that thinking of a plan a hundred-year plan or a 50-year plan, right? many of us were Conditioned just to sit and wait and be patient and let other people and wait on the government and what no I'm telling you don't Do all that change your mindset start figuring out what you're going to build what you're going to do Right, you know all those other entities they have their their place, right? Yeah, I respect them but you got to do for yourself. What are you doing for yourself in the meantime? Legislation policy all that stuff is good. It's important. But what are you actually building? What are you creating right? You know, you have to be in the mindset of Producing something. Otherwise, you're gonna always be where you've always been Okay. Now the next one now the next one is number four Number four is simply this guys You have to get your money up right, you have to be saving and investing your money you have to be Focusing on your money and this is a money channel and we do a lot with money and it's something that we really have To begin to focus on as we enter the next year, right? How are you managing your money? How are you taking care of your money? How are you building your money saving and investing your money? Do you have an emergency fund do you have a budget right? Do you have plans written plans for your money? Telling are you telling your money what to do on paper every single month every time you get paid, right? Are you paying off some of the debt that's hanging around your neck? That's not on appreciating assets, right? are you spending much much less than you make so you have a cushion to put towards an emergency fund a Cushion to put towards investments and building right, right don't You know, you don't you want to make sure that you're doing these things with money and staying focused now I'm not saying worship of money again But I'm saying stay focused on the money Setting those goals and work in your plan and doing something every single day to reach those goals those money goals You know, how are you investing your money? Are you taking advantage of compound interest in the stock market, right? Are you participating in this stock market? Are you participating in the 401k at your job, right? You've got to take care of your money right participate in the buying and owning of real estate right an Appreciating asset that's going up in value, right? We have to use the system of money that's in front of us guys Whether you like capitalism or you don't like capitalism, that's not the question how you feel about it It's not the question you live Here and you have to start using the system that's in front of you instead of allowing the system to use you You're not oh, you're not overthrowing the system right at this point. You're not doing that not even collectively Right black people make up 13% of the American population. We're not changing a system, right? So we need to start to work with that system that's in front of us in terms of our money, right? Now stop thinking it's evil money is not evil money is not sinful money is not a moral problem You can be moral and a good person in the system. We live in with your money Right by doing some of the things I'm mentioning on this video. We got to get away from thinking money is bad, right? Money is not evil Right all rich people aren't bad and all poor people aren't good or vice versa, right? Character is because the reason we want to get away from thinking those things is Because it's going to change the way we start to handle money and start to manage money, right? It's going to change the way we start to save money and invest money if we change the way we think about money Right, so we have to make sure we stop assigning this extra morality to poverty or the lack of morality to people that have money right Because if you believe all rich people are bad, then you'll never have you'll never be wealthy Right. We got to shift the way we look at it so that we are Saving money and we are investing money and we are taking good care of our money and building our money Right very very important as we enter the next year guys.
