Hi guys, this is Hailey. Today I am repeating my very first old makeup video and recreating the look.
This is literally my very first YouTube video which I uploaded in five years ago.
As I don't like the look and the whole video so I turned it to private so you guys can't
watch that video and camera didn't focus on me so it looks kind of blur so it's just my whole
But I think it'll be fun to watch this video with you guys and see how I changed and if I still like
the products I used five years ago. I think it'll be really fun so let's get started.
I can see that she started her makeup with using a corrector and I still do that and that
corrector was my favorite. I found it matched with my skin color and also it covers my dark circles
really well. It was not too bright and it was not too dark so I think it's a really good product.
I'm not sure if it's gonna match with my skin tone right now because I can see that
my skin color looks much lighter than now. Maybe one of the reason is the lighting. I used to use
like a ring lighting although like beauty youtuber used to use. I'm going to use a corrector from
Skinfood and this is my current favorite and my all-time favorite. So I'm just going to apply
this product under my eye area to cover my dark circles.
If it's hard for you to find a foundation that matches your skin tone, I recommend you to choose a dark foundation and a light foundation and mix them according to your skin condition.
I had a lot of breakouts on my forehead so I applied it all over my forehead and then I applied it on the breakout area one more time and then I patted my forehead.
So she used a foundation and she even applied twice on her forehead because she said she has
a lot of pimples on her forehead which she wants to cover. And she even used a sponge to apply and
blend the products in which is completely different from now. So instead of using a foundation, I'm
going to use a skin tint from Glossier. It's not a foundation, it's a skin tint so it's more like
evening out your skin tone rather than just covering the whole of your face. But at the
time I was really obsessed with like making my skin flawless so that's a reason why I applied
like twice on my forehead and applied the foundation all over my face which I don't think
she needs that much. I'm just going to apply this product all over my face and I'm not going to use
any sponge or brush applicator because it's just supposed to be used with fingers. So I really
enjoy using this product to even out my skin tone and it looks really really natural.
So she basically used another foundation and mixed it with a concealer to create like a lighter shade
than her skin tone. I think at the time I was more obsessed with like highlighting and contouring.
I think that's the reason why I do like applying the lighter foundation on the center of my face.
Instead of using a concealer, I'm going to use a skin tint again and I'm going to mix a lighter
shade foundation and it has more coverage than this one. After mixing two shades, I'm going to apply
on the center of my face. So I finished applying foundation. You can see it looks really natural
compared to five years ago Hailey. So I'm going to move on to the next part.
So she used another concealer and it looks kind of really high coverage one because it's like a pencil
type. She applied on her forehead where she wants to cover just like under her eye areas. Basically
she was trying to get that flawless skin look and she's trying to build up more coverage step by
step by using different products. With the lighting it could be fine but in real life it would look
kind of cakey because I applied a foundation, another foundation mixing with a concealer and
she used another concealer to cover her spot so it's gonna be not really natural if I see her in
real life. So using this liquid concealer from Maybelline, I'm going to cover hyperpigmentation
or any blemishes on my face. So I finished to put some concealer on and see what's next.
So she got rid of oiliness on her face before moving on to contouring and I'm going to use the
same powder which is from Innisfree and it was absolutely my favorite powder at the time. This is
just best affordable powder I ever used to just get rid of oiliness on my face. I don't need like
any fancy powder I just need something like just powder but to be honest I don't use that powder
a lot and I don't apply powder just all over my face but now it's really hot and humid I'm
literally sweating now so I don't think this is gonna like dry out my skin.
So she did contour with that fluffy big brush and she kind of like sculpting under her cheekbone.
For bronzer I'm going to use this Hoola from Benefit and for brush I'm going to use this
angle like bronzer or contour brush from Zoeva. So I finished applying bronzer and I'm moving on to
highlighter.
She used that Soft Gentle, MAC Soft Gentle which was really really popular at that time
and I recently got this one for this video.
I finished applying highlighter and to be honest I don't love this product because the glitter
particles are a bit chunky and the shade is quite light on my skin tone so I don't think it looks
natural but five years ago Hailey she has lighter skin tone than mine and she used to like kind of
intense highlighter so it was actually my favorite highlighter so it's good to see how I change.
So I have the same eyeshadow primer from Urban Decay and five years ago they didn't have this
little dog foot applicator but I also want to adjust the amount on the back of my hand first
and I'm going to apply on my lids and along my lower lash line.
I wanted to have like thin pointy nose shapes. I used to do nose contour every time when I do
makeup but I don't contour my nose anymore so it's good to see five years ago contouring my nose
like that. So to contour and fill in my brows I'm going to use this ash brown shade.
So I finished the contour on my nose. I tried to make it really really natural.
So she used golden pink eyeshadow on all of her lids so I'm going to create a shade.
I'm going to use this pink shade to mix this with this bronzy golden shimmery shade.
So I finished applying this pinkish golden eyeshadow. I rarely use this kind of eyeshadow nowadays so
I feel a little bit different.
I'm going to use the brown shade I used for nose contour. I'm going to use a round brush to apply on the ends of my eyes and front of my eyes.
I'm going to apply it on the ends of my eyes as if I'm pulling the ends out.
I'm going to create a long tail.
I'm going to use the same shade on my lower lids.
So she used a brown eyeshadow she used previously to create like a cat eye look.
I guess that she wanted to deepen her eye look so I'm going to do the same.
I'm going to use a thin point brush to apply a dark brown eyeshadow on my lower lids.
I'm going to apply it a little bit longer than my natural brow length.
I'm going to connect it to the inner corners of my eyes and blend it out.
I'm going to apply it on my lower lids as well.
And with the rest of them, I'm going to apply it on my lower lash lines a little bit.
I'm going to use a dark brown eyeliner to fill in my waterline.
I'm going to use the same eyeshadow I used previously to create a long tail.
I'm going to connect it to the inner corners of my lower lids.
To make it more natural, I'm going to use a pencil eyeliner instead of gel eyeliner.
I'm just going to use this eyeliner and tightline and drawing eyeliner and just do everything.
Instead of placing the eyeliner on to my lower lash line directly,
I'm just taking a little bit of this product with a brush and going to apply it.
This product clumps easily, so I think it's better to apply it on your hand first and then apply it on your eyes.
To finish up our eye makeup, she spiced it up with golden chunky glitters.
So I'm going to use this bronzy golden eyeshadow.
And the glitter particles are really really light, chunky, and really intense.
So I'm going to place this eyeshadow on the center of my lid.
I'm going to use the brown eyeshadow I used previously to contour the outer corners of my eyes.
So she used a brown eyeshadow again to blend everything in.
So I'm going to do the same with a small amount of Halloween too when I film this video.
It seems a lot of work.
I'm going to use a light beige eyeshadow to brighten up the lower lash line to make the makeup look more complete.
So she applied really light beige eyeshadow under her brows with this light bronzy shade.
So I'm going to brighten this part.
She puts falsies, which I haven't done for like at least three years.
So instead of using falsies, I'm going to put more mascara than usual.
I'm going to use the brown eyeshadow I used previously to fill in my brows.
After you fill in your brows, you can make them look more sophisticated by making the ends of your brows longer than the length of your brows.
So you can see that my eyebrows are very different from now.
Because I pluck a lot and the shape is more angled and it's thinner.
I used to draw like an angled brow, like very arched shape.
I'm going to try to make the same look but it'll be the same as that time because I didn't talk.
This is literally my own natural eyebrows.
So I'm just going to draw a little bit of like arched shape brow with this eyebrow pencil.
Also my hair color is black so I'm going to use this black brown pencil.
I'm just going to define my brow shape a little bit.
So before she applied the lip product, she put a little bit of concealer on her lips
to make it like a canvas.
So I'm going to do the same with the main concealer I used previously.
So she used really warm orange-ish red lip color but I don't think that color would match with this makeup.
If I had to choose lip color now, I would choose more like a nude-ish beige color rather than intense red lip color.
I actually bought these the same products.
So I'm going to retry if I really like this one.
And at the time I was really obsessed with like this kind of red color.
And my skin tone was pretty light compared to now.
So I think that's the reason why I like this shade.
You can see that it looks pretty light on me.
It literally brightened my complexion at the time when I wore this product.
So now my skin tone has changed and my makeup style has changed.
I don't think I would use this again.
She put pink blush on her cheek and I don't think it would match with this now.
If I look the eye, lip and cheek separately, it would be fine.
But if everything mixed together, it wouldn't look well.
But I had to so I'm going to use the same product.
I actually also bought this one.
I have a mole here and she made it more obvious with a pen eyeliner.
So I'm going to put the dot.
So this is the finished look.
It looks completely different from what I've been doing lately.
As I don't wear this much of makeup nowadays.
So I feel really really different.
But I think it was a nice opportunity to challenge myself.
I really really enjoy revisiting my old video.
Got the memory back five years ago.
So I hope you guys had fun with watching this video.
And I will see you in the next one.
Bye!
