Creating Healthy, Safer Cities for Millions of People

The ultimate goal is to reduce our carbon emissions significantly. Every person is entitled to a smoke-free environment. Santo Domingo didn't have any specific stream for bison. We developed a road safety plan to reduce death in road accidents by 30 percent. Early in the pandemic, a grant for the Partnership for Healthy Cities made it possible for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to fund Mural Arts Philadelphia to create and install art that promoted safe physical distancing. It's been such an important thing that we now have the guidelines with the right protection and signals. The support that we can get from the partnership is very much on learning from other examples. It has supported us with funds, it has supported us with knowledge. We managed to change habits, to change the culture here, and that's mainly because of the work we did together with the partnership.
