Desa Jatiluwih adalah salah satu Desa yang berada di lereng Gunung Batukaru yang merupakan salah satu Gunung tertinggi yang ada di Bali dalam wilayah Kecamatan Penebel Kabupaten Tabanan Propinsi Bali yang dibentuk pada Tahun 1978. JATILUWIH berasal dari kata JATON dan LUWIH. JATON artinya Jimat, sedangkan LUWIH artinya bagus. Maka Desa Jatiluwih berarti sebuah Desa yang mempunyai Jimat yang benar-benar bagus atau berwasiat.
