Inside a $10,750,000 Santa Monica Home with Ocean and Mountain View’s

Hello, Luxury Home Show. I am Shelton Wilder, and I'm here in Santa Monica, California, and I am so excited to show you Casa Tramonto. Come on in. It feels like you're on vacation back here. There's the hot tub, and it goes all the way throughout. It is so beautiful. I mean, who wouldn't want to have tub time right here? So it has the ocean views as well as having the mountain views. And there's a secret little garden here. I love how they have it set up. You can have your morning coffee under your umbrella. It just feels so cheerful out here. Now, everything in this incredible home is totally custom, including this bench, all of the woodwork. So Lizzie McGraw from Tumbleweed and Dandelion on Abbott Kinney, she is chef's kiss. She's my favorite, and I am just in love with her work. So in here, all of the furniture is custom, straight for the home. So it's either a designer piece or a Tumbleweed and Dandelion design that they have put together here, including all of the artwork. And the light fixtures are some of the best that I've ever seen. They sourced them from Italy, from France, and I absolutely am obsessed with these comfy chairs. I wish you guys could sit here right now. They are so soft and so fantastic. And you just want to spend your time here. Just makes you have this incredible feeling, and you feel so inspired with the views. And I can't wait to show you all of the landscape, all of the beautiful trees that they've added all throughout. You can walk right on over here, and they have the table seated for six, and the gorgeous lighting fixtures. Everything comes together. And I love how she added this old world tapestry, which is vintage or even antique from Europe, which I thought was beautiful. And everything is unique. It's not one particular style, or it looks like they got the furniture from just one place. Everything has a special feel, including this gorgeous mirror, and everything that kind of comes together. And I do want to share that even the Belgian linens throughout the home, so they didn't skimp on anything. Everything is done just completely custom. And I love the way that these can open up, and the fresh breeze comes through, because in Santa Monica, that is what you want to have. Everything opened up, and feel the beautiful breeze coming in right from the ocean that we are so close to. Another special feature of the home is that this is on Berkeley, which is the highest point of Santa Monica in this area. That is why the views are what makes this house so special. And that is why they named the home Casa Tramonto, which means the house of the sunsets, because the views are what make it so important. And now we enter the kitchen, which I always like to call the hub of the house. And they used incredible Carrara marble. And what she did that was a little bit special and different was that she used two different colors of the Carrara marble. I really feel that makes it seem so much more lux, and not just the same all the way around. And so she has it all the way in the backsplash. Here, there's the Viking six burner oven and stove, which is obviously amazing for having a party or having your chef or all your cooking. And again, all of the hardware is custom made, soft clothes, of course. These lighting fixtures are by Visual Comfort. And I just love the movement here. So they're very, very special. But to me, they look vintage, but that's the designer, and they're all high-end designers. But throughout the rest of the home, I'll be showing you the other lighting fixtures, and a lot of them are vintage or from Italy or France, like I said. I love that there's this farm sink and all of the fixtures. I mean, they're already patina-ing, everything's brass and just gorgeous. And as you can see throughout, they have the Carrara marble, and then they had it go all the way up to the ceiling and included in the shelving, which I think is very, very beautiful. Now, moving over to here, this is a built-in nook, a breakfast nook. And I just feel like you would end up spending so much time here when you were living in the home. And if my two boys were here, this is where we would have breakfast and dinners and chats and talk about our days. This is fluted wood throughout, and the curved marble, and even this special detail. It's just very unique. It's not what you're gonna see in every other home. Now, when you come into this gorgeous living area, it's another living space. So this is more of the casual place to hang, and it has the fireplace here, and they did the marble that was fluted, and so very unique and special. I think one of the most incredible features of the home is this bar. Now, this is not a piece of furniture. This is actually built-in. And I did host a big party. It was a very special party. It was very intimate, and we had a chef here, and this is where the bartender was, so it was actually the perfect place to host an event. And I love how she has everything featured, all the vintage glasses and everything. It's just the way that she has it styled is absolute perfection. So I love that they chose this bar here and this little moment. So this is your wine cellar. It's not too overwhelming. I think it's actually very chic. So, and then it has your refrigerator here for your wine. So again, they use this gorgeous wood that is all custom done, but I love how they use it in the front of the house and continued it around, so it's not all just the white walls, but this has this warm wood. And you can come on in. So this room is actually, it could be a bedroom, but it's really just considered an office, and I love that they added the wood there for privacy. And here is this fantastic room with the shower. And she always loves to include a very unique wallpaper. I mean, look at these lights with this gorgeous maroon. So we're here in the downstairs bedroom, which is so nice because you actually can go straight out into the covered patio. Then you come into the bathroom. I just love this vanity that they had made and all of the lighting, everything kind of plays off of each other. And I love this gorgeous shower again with the skylight. And this is a feature that she tends to keep doing that we will see throughout the house where she tiles the top and it just really makes it feel so unique. And it's really nice because you have your bathroom here, but then also you can go right outside for the pool bathroom. So now we're stepping out into this gorgeous patio. Like I said, it's a U shape. So you can come out the different doors and it's so great because there's a pergola here. So it feels very open yet also shaded. And there's a little lighting that's so wonderful. Also, they went with this ground cover, which is a clover, which I think is very chic and so pretty. And then all of the landscaping was done. Everything was super thought out. There is the olive trees that are so special surrounding. So I can't wait to show you the pool because it feels like you are in another country. There's even a Brazilian pepper tree over there. So they did a whitewash finish on this slate and there's the hot tub and it goes all the way throughout and this water feature here and with the beautiful brass and you can see it's patinaing as well and at the Venetian plaster. So it really brings it in and it feels like you're on vacation back here. I mean, it almost seems like Santorini or just somewhere in Italy. Jeff's kiss. So Lizzie added her furniture out here, which I think just looks incredible and so very chic and also very comfortable. So you can enjoy the pool here, can lay out and just enjoy your family being here or have a party. And there is this great looking gas fire pit, just feels so cozy. And I love too that the pool is totally gated. So that's for safety, but also feels like there's a separation. But if I lived in this home, I would keep that water feature going and have this fire pit. I mean, that would make for such a cozy night. I can't wait to show you upstairs. So there are four bedrooms up and they did this custom railing with the glass. And of course they wanted to add the wood so it would feel very cohesive and really keep the warmness of the home. Come on up. So you're coming in here. There is all of the beautiful light flooding within and I'd love that there's even a little seating area at the top of the stairs. So all of the skylights just make the home feel so light and bright. And here we go. This is the price of admission. This is the primary. It is so absolutely gorgeous. It's spacious. It feels like your own oasis and waking up to that view every single day, what's not to love? And you have your own fireplace here. It is just absolutely stunning. The ceilings are so high. It feels so open. And really, I mean, all the way to Palos Verdes, to Catalina, all the way around. And I love that you have your own patio out here. Also, she matched the flooring to the flooring inside the home. So it really gives it a large feel and it feels like it's all the same, which I think is so special. And again, such a gorgeous design choice. And so now we're going to come into the bathroom. You come on in. It is so beautiful. I mean, who wouldn't want to have tub time right here with the views, everything. I mean, this almost kind of feels like, you know, a wet room as well, because it's just right here together. Here's the shower. And I just think this fluted tub is so absolutely gorgeous. All of the fixtures as well, but really it's the view. And everything is so divine. It really just feels so luxe. And see how she did down below, but she added this here. And this is such a special feature. I really haven't seen this before. With the tile along the ceiling, so unique. So it has its own water closet, you know, which is great to have, but they even added in other shelving and everything in here, which is so, oh, here we go. There you go. You know, you're going to have a beautiful, nice toilet there, but I love that the sinks are opposite sides here. This just feels like a spa. It feels so relaxing. And it's like you could just get away from the world. So adjacent to the bathroom is the closet and everything was completely finished and done. And I just love all the finishes. Sometimes in these homes, they can have the room for the closet, but they're not finished. So I love that that was all completed. And this is a great vanity here as well, all the different drawers. And so, yeah, for the shoes, everything. Gorgeous wood throughout as well. So again, she has this incredible textured wallpaper, which I love, but everything is also very calming. So nothing is really too crazy or anything in the house. Like anybody would really love this. And so it's neutral enough, but also has the textures and you can tell the beautiful quality. Also the ceiling, look at this. She did it again. They did it in the downstairs bathroom and then right here when you come in. So right off of the primary, which is totally private and can be closed off, there is a really nice bedroom here. And again, it's an en suite and it has this beautiful finishes. But if you were starting a family, had a baby, or you wanted the children close, that is why it is so nice to have the four bedrooms up. Or if you just wanted to have your own office, there's so many ways to use the space, but it's so nice that it's up here. Another special feature is that every one of the bedrooms has its own balcony upstairs. So that is very unique and not every home has that. So sometimes you'll have one special room, but then the rest won't have any great features. But this one has, again, all the gorgeous window treatments, but it has its own balcony off of the bedroom as well. So room number three upstairs, this is a very spacious bedroom. I love how she has it with the two twin beds here. And there's a great closet as well as the balcony that overlooks the pool. Also this feature, I love how she did the painting along the wall and it just makes it look a little bit more chic and different. And you walk into the bathroom here and this is shared with the other front room and it has this gorgeous tub. And they did this beautiful finish, like a Roman clay here, which looks really, really beautiful. And I love that they mix it up. So this kind of has the nickel finish in here. And then there are the two vanities here and all of the gorgeous mirrors. And then this is some amazing wallpaper as well. And so everything just is so custom and very, very different. There's nothing that I've seen that has all of this. It's just, the thing about this home is that you're walking in with a designer done home. It's not that you're gonna have to bring a new designer in, it's already done for you. So I think that that is, again, one of the prices of admission. You have this amazing lighting fixture as well. And this is one of my favorite wallpapers in the whole home. And personally, I love birds and I feel that my mom, rest her soul in heaven, is all very special with the birds. So I love this. I feel like it's just very calming and amazing here. I love too that she thought of adding the built-in desk. So that's really thoughtful of a design. And this bedroom has a comparable incredible view as the other bedroom. So you can see it goes all the way around. I mean, it's way more than just 180 degree views. So it really, you can see all the way here. And so it has the ocean views as well as having the mountain views. So that's what I think is also just such an amazing feature of the home. So you would walk out of the fourth bedroom and there is a whole laundry setup upstairs, which is so fantastic to have near all the bedrooms. And then this amazing skylight. So all the light floods in, which is always very healthy and so good to have. And you're gonna wanna have that living your healthy, amazing lifestyle in Santa Monica. So when you're coming up to Casa Tremonto, you can have a little seat here. I just love, it has such coastal vibes going on. And you come up and there's a secret little garden here.
