It's underway! Good start from Mauro Videli, really good start also from Miguel Oliveira from pole position who immediately goes over to try and defend Turn 1.
Miller, is he going to take second? No, not quite. It is Miguel Oliveira who leads.
It's been a Miguel masterclass here in Port Damao.
The chequered flag comes out here in Portugal. Miguel Oliveira wins at home for Tech 3 on the KTM.
It's lights out and we are racing him on a GP here in Portugal.
And there Basti does make a strong start from pole position. He's made a much better start than yesterday.
Martino's come fast from the second row. He goes into the early lead. Marquez goes in.
Oh! And they've both gone down! Oh, unbelievable!
Vinales to the final lap and Vinales is now down!
Oh, can you believe his hindsight on the dirt?
You could write a book, couldn't you, just on the last three laps alone here in this Tissot Grand Prix of Portugal,
which is being won by Prima Prima de Catistar. Jorge Martín, our last special one, has witnessed a special race here in Portugal.
It's a race win for Jorge Martín and he is the world championship leader in MotoGP once again.
Dropping down the hill into the braking zone for the first quarter.
Here he comes. He's got the move done. He's got the inside line. Rins can't turn in.
Oh, he was really pushing the front end there, Fabio Quattararo.
But you have to admire the way he's gone about his business here. He didn't panic after the rough start.
Fabio Quattararo makes it two out of two. Outstanding from the Yamaha man.
Over the line to start lap number four. They again exchange fastest laps of the Grand Prix.
Quattararo's got the inside line. Slipstreaming on the Yamaha. What about the top speed of the Yamaha?
Through into the lead then goes Fabio Quattararo, the reigning world champion.
El Diablo, the devil. He has ridden like the devil, hasn't he, so far today?
Fabio Quattararo, five laps to go for the Frenchman.
And he's nearly six seconds clear now of his compatriot, this man, Joan Zarco.
Well, here comes Fabio Quattararo. It has been picture perfect in Portugal for the reigning world champion.
He's the winner of the Tissot Grand Prix of Portugal in utterly dominant fashion.
He takes the win by 5.4 seconds from Joan Zarco.
We're ready to go. The penultimate race of 2021 is underway.
Not a great start from Pekka Bangia. Miller immediately capitalises and goes through.
Coming across is one of the Ducatis. I think that's Martin as well. Miller leads into Turn 1.
Yeah, not the launch that Bangia wanted, but it looks like he's immediately fought back.
Pounced on Miller on the inside going through Turn 2.
So Bangia, not a great launch off the line, but he leads through Turn 3.
And there is a yellow flag. Oh, Quattararo's down!
Oh, he's gone down. Yeah, it's not Bangia or Miller.
It's Miguel Oliveira. The red flag has come out here in Portugal,
potentially as a result of the incident between Miguel Oliveira and Ikelecueno.
I hope that the riders are OK, but the red flag has come out here in Portugal
and we are way past distance in terms of this being declared.
And Bangia will be crowned race winner here ahead of Juan Mir with Jack Miller taking third place.
Oh, Martin was wide, Martin was wide. A fraction off line in Turn 5.
No second imitation required for Bangia. He now leads the turn to Number 7.
Pekka Perfect in Portimao as he creates history.
The world champion, the Number 1, is Number 1 in the first ever Tissot sprint race in MotoGP.
Marc Marquez got away really well from pole position.
Bangia gets squeezed by both Martin and Marquez.
He had to back out of it there, didn't he?
And coming through, fast starting is Miguel Oliveira.
Oliveira briefly led his home Grand Prix.
And then we've got an Aprilia around the outside of Maverick Vinales.
He's off to a great start. He's trying to go wheel-to-wheel with Bangia and Oliveira.
Up to fourth now.
Oh, I thought it was a touch-out, didn't it?
Watch contact. Marquez was super aggressive on the inside of Oliveira.
Martin into Turn Number 3.
The two Ducatis that enjoyed the best of the sprint yesterday, Bangia and Martin, quickly up behind him.
Yeah, Bangia has gone for it into the first gear, Turn Number 13.
It was tight, but he made it moving there.
That was nicely done by Pekka Bangia.
Now then, at the front of this Grand Prix already.
Pekka Bangia showing just what he's the reigning world champion.
Bangia wins the Grand Prix of Portugal.
