In this video we're exploring edgy style with a softer side,
featuring plenty of knitwear, tailored pieces, and rich earthy tones.
I'm also styling some beautiful new pieces from Fabrique and Cezanne,
two brands that I've really been enjoying this season.
As always, whether you're shopping or just looking for outfit inspiration,
I hope this video gives you an idea of reworking what's already in your wardrobe.
And if you're new here, don't forget to subscribe.
We are so so close to hitting 50k and I'd love for you to join the community.
Okay so I have been really drawn to brown earthy tones lately,
probably because it's warm, cozy, elegant, and just right for fall.
Burgundy has also been having a moment for me,
so when I saw this faux fur leather jacket from Fabrique,
I knew this is something that I wanted to build a look around.
I layered it over a knitted black vest, which has beautiful distressed detailing,
and I paired it with loose grey trousers for an elevated daytime outfit.
Since I have a shorter torso,
I tucked the jacket in slightly for a cropped look that feels a little more flattering.
I generally find that cropped pieces suit my body type better,
and it gives me that illusion of being slightly taller, even though I'm only 5'4".
I absolutely love this combination of the grey and the rich reddish browns.
It feels refined yet approachable.
And in case you're wondering, the bag that I'm carrying is from Cezanne.
I was drawn to it for that rich brown colour and the glossy leather,
which Cezanne specifically noted on their website that the leather is
low-maintenance, which makes it perfect for everyday wear, even through the colder months.
I've been on the hunt for a leather skirt for a while now.
When I saw this one designed by Sébastien Meunier for Fabrique,
previously from Anne de Meulemeester and Helmut Lang, I could not resist.
It's faux leather, something that I'm usually cautious about,
but this one's made from plant-based protein materials, so it feels soft yet substantial.
On the model, it's full-length, but since I'm 5'4", I went for a small petite,
and I find that it hits me mid-calf,
which is probably a better proportion for my height and my personal style overall.
To soften the edginess of the faux leather skirt, I paired it with a soft and cozy Cezanne knit,
and I have been loving their knitwear so much lately.
It's timeless, soft, and so beautifully made.
On the website, they state that this one runs large, so I sized down to an extra small.
Styling tip, always check out the size notes.
I've learned this the hard way.
Since I'm an avid online shopper, I find that this makes things a lot easier.
Since Sébastien Meunier designed this wrap leather faux skirt,
I wanted to pair it with some Anne de Meulemeester pieces,
so I went for this white button-down shirt because it feels like such a natural combination here.
By the way, have a look at his collection on the Fabrique website.
It is so, so good.
I have a few pieces on my wishlist,
including this incredible long black coat that is just screaming to be in my closet.
And in case you're curious, Fabrique is currently shipping to the US,
Singapore, and now to the UK as well.
So if you're based in Canada, they're not shipping there yet.
I have brought this up with the team.
Let's just cross our fingers that Canada is next on the list.
Now to balance out the edginess of the skirt,
I layered in the K-No-Ti waist blazer from Fabrique,
which is a beautiful herringbone piece that drapes softly and accentuates the waist so nicely.
It's the kind of tailoring that feels effortless but elegant.
The ties on this blazer are removable by the way,
which gives you a lot of styling flexibility.
I recently wore this blazer to the Creed store opening.
I styled it with a pair of tall leather boots from MM6 and my Maison Margiela Bianchetto skirt,
and I love how the blazer made my outfit feel classic and modern at the same time.
And it's just such a versatile piece, which is probably why it's one of my favourites in this video.
Now to finish the look here, I went for the Maison Margiela Mini Fire Bucket Bag
and Tabi Boots for that hint of quirkiness that still feels refined.
Speaking of the K-No blazer, I had to show you how it looks as a full suit,
with the Mika Soft Pleated Trousers.
This combination is absolutely divine.
These are the same trousers that I showed you earlier on in the video
and I styled it with a full leather burgundy jacket.
Worn separately, these two pieces mix beautifully with everything else
that's already in my wardrobe.
But together, it feels so feminine and so elegant and so powerful as well.
I first saw this look on the Fabrique's homepage
and it instantly reminded me of something that Bottega would do.
Understated, luxurious, but still very wearable.
The wool blend fabric is fully lined and not itchy at all.
For the blazer, I went for a small petite,
but in the trousers, I ended up sizing up to a medium for a looser fit.
Since my kibbe body type is a soft natural,
I generally do prefer a bit of room around my hips.
I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love this outfit.
It's the kind of look that I would wear to an event
when I want to feel powerful, feminine, but still very comfortable.
Now to finish off the look, I just styled it with a Jill Sander goji bag
and then my tall tabby boots from Marcella.
Next up is something a little different for me
and it's this wrap style jersey dress
that's stretchy, flattering, and incredibly, incredibly comfortable.
Fabrique's sizing description notes that this one has a tight fit
and recommends sizing up for more room,
so I ended up going for a medium here.
Even though it looks amazing on its own,
I feel most myself when I have a blazer or something loose layered on over top,
so that's exactly what I did here.
The same Kano blazer as before, but worn open and without the ties
gives me that boxier silhouette that I really love.
I love how the textures complement each other here
while keeping things very relaxed.
This dress comes in a long sleeve version in grey and in brown
if you prefer more coverage on your arms.
Once again, I styled it with my tall tabby boots
and then the pink small duomo bag from Fabrique
and I think this just looks perfect for a date night.
For the final look, I wanted to revisit the knit vest from Mounier's collection.
Originally, I thought about pairing it with a medi skirt,
but when I tried it, it just felt a little too heavy.
Styling isn't just about how something looks,
but it's also about how it makes us feel in that moment,
which is exactly why I trust my intuition so many of the times
when it comes to outfit choices.
Instead of going for a skirt,
I swapped in these Junya Watanabe drop trousers for a softer silhouette
and then I topped it off with this beautiful Cezanne leather jacket,
which is a size extra small.
I definitely prefer a slightly crop fit when it comes to wearing looser pants,
it just helps balance out those proportions beautifully
and this jacket definitely fits the bill.
To finish the look, I added the Gary bag from Cezanne
just to keep the palette soft and cohesive
and then my tall tabby boots again just to ground the whole look.
Thank you so so much for watching!
