Hey guys, Sean with American Window
Concepts and right now we're in the
showroom and I did a a short video
probably a couple of months ago about
Annlin introducing a footbolt on their
patio doors getting rid of the head dead
bolt uh that used to be here. So, we
went ahead and switched out the
interlock so that way we could have the
footbolt now. All right, because this is
all that Anland is going to offer.
They're no longer going to offer the uh
deadbolt. So, what's really cool about
this is that it makes it so that way
it's an extra lock, another option,
another deterrent um to keep your door
locked. So, you can lock it here and
then all you have to do is come over
here and push that down and now you have
two bolts that are going down into the
track and it's just added security. It's
a really a nice feature. I'm glad they
did this. And one of the main reasons is
because of liability issues. There's a I
mean, if if they have this and an 8 foot
tall patio door and they have the
deadbolt up and then, you know, a person
who's 5 foot tall can't just readily
grab that and pull it down. They have to
do a few steps in order to get that
deadbolt down. And it's kind of a pain.
So in case of an emergency or something
that could hinder their ability to get
out and that's kind of a big problem.
They came up with the footbolt. So you
just push down on that and I mean you
can use your foot to do it but then to
unlock it it's such an easy step. You
just come over here and push that and
now it's unlocked. And here we like to
do two. We like to do one that's going
to be 3 in open as well. And I like
doing this because I think it's a nice
touch. It allows you to keep your door
open, you know, a few inches, letting in
some cool coastal breeze at any point,
right? So, and then it keeps it, you
know, figuratively locked. Not
completely, but it's, you know, it it's
a it's a way it would make somebody
think, "Oh, there's something behind the
door. We can't get this thing to open."
So, you would just push that. You close
your door.
It's just that easy. I think it's a nice
feature. I think it's welldesigned.
another improvement that I feel was
necessary and is just a really really
great option. So that's it. I just
wanted to show you guys how that would
look and how to operate it. It's just so
so easy. That's to lock it. That's to
unlock it. So that's it. Before you
