Dimitrij Ovtcharov vs Andre Bertelsmeier _ MS R32 _ #WTTFrankfurt 2025

You can see a bit of hesitation there on the receive. On then the variation on the serve into the body, followed by that beautiful searching backhand. What a point, what an adjustment midway through from Bertelsmaier, but Diemer... Wonderful exchange here, the speed, Diemer was very determined right from the start to stay on the aggressive. Saves a few nets in this rally, the defense from Bertelsmaier, this is really wonderful. And notice how he punches back, these are more fishing shots, there's one recovery. And he does very, very well indeed. And there it is, the established star against the rising star. First blood goes to the older man, who looks like he's battling, sounds like he's battling... That's the one that I wanted to see, slightly shorter. Takes anything down. I think he was mid-exhale. The boy's got power, we know that much there. And he celebrates that. It's always a pleasure watching you watching a player, Adam. And obviously, as you said earlier on, a first really extended look at Andre Bertelsmaier. What are you making of what we've got in this 20-year-old? But the thing about Diemer is that if you give him a chance, and that's why he... Three. Good adjustment. There were two shots in a row from Bertelsmaier, one that caught Diemer quite off guard, and he still got it back. Six. Quality of shots, a long serve... Well, he tried to hold the table for Bertelsmaier there, but in the end succumbed to the Diemer pressure. It's crazy that with the job he was doing, staying on top... This is high quality at times, but three game points for Bertelsmaier. He'll say he should have been... Now it gets interesting. Diemer, that experience in the business end of any game. Oh, an apology. And with that... Dmitry Ovtcharov has indeed inflicted a blow upon his younger opponent here, who was strongly placed in game two. How was that service? Figure out how to get their best performance to pave the way moving forward. The human side of it, I think... Three. Bertelsmaier wanted to make sure that you recall one, so he'd bring it up in recent history. Well, you don't forget this point. Diemer was defeated. He's crushing it now. After three games played thus far. But there's a bit of resistance from Bertelsmaier yet. This young man in action on the WTT Champions stage. And it has been a treat, because now it comes to an end. We have seen enough, I think it's fair, if I don't mind speaking for you, Adam, of Andrei Bertelsmaier. I want to see more of this young man. But, of course, we will now see more of Dmitry Ovtcharov as he goes through to take on Tomokazu Harimoto. Your thoughts on the match? I enjoyed it. I mean, it's always exciting to see very close battles. In the end, Diemer turned it on. They both thanked the crowd here. And not only do we want to see more, I have a strong feeling we're going to see a lot more of Andrei Bertelsmaier.
