Manika Batra vs Annett Kaufmann - WS R32 - #WTTFrankfurt 2025

It's incredible what she's managed to do. And you have to twiddle at the right times, block from time to time. It's incredible. And you see she's got the power there, going for the kill shot. And these two do, I think, as well as possible at playing consecutive forehands. Sounds like a knock on the door, that's when you know... On both sides, five game points. Eleven to five, game number one. And how would you do that? One, two. No problem. There we go, good tactics. Two, four. Six, two. Four, seven. Eight. Nine, ten. Twelve, eleven, five, game, Kaufman. One, oh. One, two. Two, three. Kaufman just closed the door in a way that would have you never come back home like this. She's beaten quite a few of the top Chinese players, Batra. And they know very well how to play this style. They've had to study it meticulously. Four. You can see she's trying. Whoa. Six, seven. That shot from Batra, that one pimple shot came so, so rapidly out to the forehand here. Seven. The one that's just a little bit high and the slap shot carries long. Three game and match points left. Eleven, seven. There it is, she closes the door. A total of 17 points for Monika Batra. Wow. Germany is strong. There's a reason European champions, what, ten times? Annette Kaufman has been led by a lot of role models and is filling some big shoes literally and figuratively.
