ℹ️ What is Hanfu? Hanfu, also known as Han Chinese clothing or Han attire, refers to the traditional ethnic clothing worn by the Han Chinese during various periods throughout China's long history. Originating from the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE), Hanfu is characterized by its unique style and elegance, which have been influenced by Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, and other philosophical systems.
Throughout the centuries, Hanfu evolved with each dynasty, reflecting the political, social, and cultural changes of the time. However, it was not until the early 20th century that Hanfu began to fall out of favor due to the influence of Western fashion and the government's promotion of modernization.
In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in Hanfu among young people in China, who are rediscovering their cultural heritage and embracing traditional fashion. This revival has led to a greater appreciation of the intricate designs, beautiful fabrics, and rich symbolism associated with Hanfu.
Today, Hanfu is not only a symbol of Chinese culture but also a form of personal expression and artistic creation. Whether worn for special occasions or daily wear, Hanfu continues to captivate people around the world with its timeless beauty and elegance.
I am the founder of Chonghui Han Tang.
When I first heard about Hanfu, I was very surprised.
In the very limited TV series I watched when I was a child,
such as Journey to the West, Red Dragon Dream, and some martial arts dramas,
I thought those who wore long clothes,
those who were elegant and beautiful, were particularly beautiful.
But I have always regretted
why our Han people do not have their own ethnic costumes.
So I started to wear Hanfu very early on.
After wearing Hanfu, I wore it out to introduce it to everyone.
I said, this is our Han ethnic costume.
We can also wear it in the traditional way.
Because it is mainly concentrated in the front of the clothes.
And the dress itself has a circle of hard flowers.
It has a bit of a stringy feeling.
Hanfu has many traditional ways of making.
It is based on cultural relics.
If we want to revive Hanfu,
we should turn Hanfu into a Hanfu product that everyone can see and touch.
When Hanfu becomes popular,
we will upgrade it to the level of our ethnic costumes.
Or we can use it in more etiquette occasions.
Or we can make Hanfu more exquisite.
At first, we knew that this road was very difficult.
Because Hanfu has disappeared for more than 300 years.
We have to pick it up again.
We have to let everyone know again.
We have to let everyone like it again.
We have to let everyone wear it again.
We know that this process is very difficult.
I am also ready.
Hanfu is completely different from fashion.
From fabrics to patterns,
it is different from fashion.
Fashion will focus on some big effects.
Although Hanfu will focus on big effects,
it will also care about many details.
And it will convey a kind of cultural propagation.
Every pattern will have a lot of meanings.
At that time, some of the patterns of Hanfu were made based on the data of original cultural relics.
But the height and proportion of some ancient people's clothes may be different from that of modern people.
So we will improve it to make Hanfu more similar to the daily life of modern people.
As a Hanfu designer,
he must first understand the traditional culture of China very well.
And Hanfu is a new industry.
So there are a lot of imperfections in the industry chain.
For example, our buttons and fabrics need to be redeveloped.
At first, we will go online to find some factories and consult with them.
If we think it's good, we will go to the offline to see if we can do it.
Then we will talk about this cooperation with him offline.
When we go out in our traditional clothes,
many people are very interested and respectful.
They know it's Chinese traditional clothing.
Especially when they know that Hanfu has a long history.
So we like to wear Hanfu.
When someone asks me if young people like Hanfu,
is it only those who are particularly brave will wear Hanfu?
In fact, I tell everyone that people of all ages will like Hanfu.
They may have a plot in their hearts.
Or they may have a passion for the nation.
But when they see Hanfu,
they will suddenly realize that they like the beauty of our nation.
The red yuandingshan in the city,
the two colors of Yuan Qingbo,
and the yellow of Yuanyuan.
And we are going to drive soon.
I hope everyone will wear beautiful clothes for the Spring Festival.
Or wear beautiful clothes to take a walk.
So I think many people may have some misunderstandings in their minds.
Or some fixed thoughts.
It's more difficult for us to break their thoughts.
Let them discover that everything is possible.
I think people in China,
especially the Han people,
don't have their own clothes.
Basically, it's a suit or a dress.
So I think there is a set of necessities.
For me.
The promotion of Hanfu culture is better.
And there are more people wearing Hanfu on the street.
And I don't feel like I'm being ignored.
It's a lot less.
It feels normal to wear Hanfu.
Everyone has their own style.
It will be a complete industry.
There will be all kinds of Hanfu,
high, middle, low.
When people wear Hanfu,
no one will look down on them.
No one will be dissatisfied with them.
It will be a part of everyone's life.
It will be a normal existence.
This is our dream.
Many young people are willing to wear Hanfu.
Whether online or in real life,
to promote the beauty of Hanfu.
It's a kind of cultural confidence.
