The Other Maldives: What Real Island Life Looks Like on Ukulhas

Hi everyone. So this is Walking Gab and Amadon and today we are going to watch the sunset. So the sun is there. Okay. And I don't know what time it will set but uh that is what we're going to do today. So we are so lucky that we see this uh people here doing some like uh dinner by preparing. It's preparation for dinner by candle light. and by the ocean. >> And by the ocean, but today is uh low tide tide. Looks like low tide, >> but it's still they have ocean, so I think it's okay. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. It looks so perfect, you know. It's like the table is inside the rectangular thing. >> Yeah. >> And I think the couple are walking in the middle of those flowers and lights, right? >> Okay. So, let's go. So in this video guys, we wanted to give you like you know quick uh brief uh glimpse of uh local island Ukulas in Maldives. So that's why we started the video on the beach and we're going to you know take a turn here and walk along the oceanside road to show you like some restaurants, nice cafe and then we're going to end the video there. Uh there's like a very pictures spot which is very good for Instagram and stuff. So we're going to end the video here. So watching this video will have a very good like you know idea of what it looks like or what it's like to be on a local island in the Maldives. >> So are we go straight here or >> No, I think we can take the turn because you already >> It's like it is shallow, you know. And some people are having like you know coffee here or dinner here along by the beach and each of these restaurants. So if you buy something from the restaurant or cafe you can just have it here. It's a very nice environment. And here people are doing construction. They are building a lot of like you know new resorts, hotels and here you can see one of them. >> Hello. Hello. So here are along the way you will see guys lots of cafes, restaurants and today lunchtime we had coffee there and uh we had our lunch by the beach. Which which one is that? The >> I think it's a little bit >> lob uh lobster d sushi. >> Yes. It's like sounds like lobster. >> Lobster. Yeah, >> lobster the sushi. >> Yep. And all these are on the right. They're like, you know, new hotels or resorts and some of them are still under construction. So, looks like they're making one tall one. Oh, I I smell something. They're burning something somewhere. >> Smells like charcoal. >> Maybe doing some barbecue grill. Uh >> yeah, >> whatever. Uh they're grilling. >> Yeah. So here onas island you are okay to uh wear bikinis. It's like everywhere here is fine as long as you are by the beach. Okay. But if you are walking on the street like here or residential areas you should uh and you are wearing your bikinis. >> Mhm. >> Still you're okay to walk here but at least >> put on some towels wrap on your body. >> Yeah. >> I remember this is the restaurant. >> Yeah. where we had lunch and coffee. >> Yeah, this is where you ate before >> here, right? >> Hello. >> Hello. >> How are you? >> Good. So, we can we might have a coffee later. Uh we deciding >> and I noticed on every store there is a Magnum ice cream. >> Yeah. Yeah. Very popular ice cream here. Magnum ice cream. That's what I'm telling you. >> Oh, they have nice decoration there. >> Nice decoration. >> Look, they have like nice balloons and stuff. And >> this is another uh hotel or resort each beach villa. So all these are like you know lots of like hotels and stuff and on the left seating area and you can sit anywhere and Oh man. Okay.
