It's Yuki Ishikawa, the Japan captain, to get this one underway and he sends in a pretty
comfortable one that's pretty easily handled and rising high and taking that at a beautiful angle.
He finished it in some style side out China. A little bit of movement there for the setter
there's the containing block but it does drop out watched all the way.
Sent in the sneaky one. Oh, that's lovely. That is superb. Yu Yao Chen with the one-handed set.
This is under pressure. Look at this because that could have been coming back but no use
that I got. Ying Shi Kun goes flat. Pipe attack and that is trademark from Ishikawa.
Well, good luck defending that. 18-21 China can see the winning line.
Oh, yeah. Had no chance there. Only managed one very creative one-handed set.
They got a late rally here to keep this first set alive. Japan. China will happily side out. That's
not the most challenging of serves. They got exactly what it deserved. Takahashi ripping one
serving at 23-20. Takes a little jump off the net court and did that drop in? I'm not sure about
that, you know. Get their service game going with Yuji Nishida right here. They need three points on
serve and they're not going to get anywhere near it. It's another one that really rather sums up
Japan serving in that first set. Just all over the place, wasn't it? Change of personnel for Japan.
It's going to need more than that to change the momentum in this.
As Yamauchi sends one into mid-court. Drilled. That's some rescue. It really is but hoisted high.
You just hope for the best here as Takahashi shovels it over. No, just delaying the inevitable.
Just delaying the inevitable and Li Yongzheng the inside. Well, that was the rescue. Absolutely
brilliant. You don't give anything up but staying with a little bit of breathing space there.
Little net rippler there and ripped away by Peng Shikun. A good take and the blocks there again
from Peng. He's having none of it. That little breathing space they need. Oh, they've got a chance.
They've got a chance. That's a zinger of a serve. Tough take here. No real take there. Yu just has
to push it over. Japan take one off the block and away and that should be enough. Nishikawa mixes
it up and it's caused more problems for China. The overpass off the block and away. That is brilliant
serving for those last two serves. Absolute beauties. Here he goes for another deep one.
It's well taken. Long way off the net there. Trying to take that one. That's a tough take.
Still defending really well. Some dig in the backcourt there. No angle and the block is out.
Mikasa Japan. Two points from levelling the match up at one all.
Lovely, lovely. Can't do it any better than that. Just died over the net didn't it.
And at this level you don't see that happening too often. Not going to happen at all. Mikasa
Yu. Grand tight. Knocks one into the net. That's not the most devastating of serves.
It got what it deserved. Yuki Ishikawa the captain driving through with the pipe attack.
Left there. That was Zhang Jinying. He committed early. He was taken out of it. Off that fake
containing block is in place. That's more than a containing block there.
Serving at 5-2. It's a good one. That's trouble. Yeah nothing they can do here. There's hope for
the best and hope just ran out as Yuji Nishida rips one on that far side once again.
It's still early in the set. Try the sneaky one. Ishikawa is denied mid-court. They came up and
Zhang did a really important job with the dig there. Keep that alive but keep that alive.
Not a chance. Nishida is really starting to crank it up. Zhang the opposite with serve. Perfect take.
Perfect finish. Oh it's a beauty. They've kept it alive. That's a terrific dig from Yamamoto.
Now Japan can transition here. Takahashi again. Too good. Goes for the cross-court kill.
Here's Lee. A very flat serve. Got what it deserved. Yamauchi takes one off the inside set.
Off the timeout. The technical timeout. Oh my goodness me. An error of judgment. He's
teased an error. I think it might have been going in anyway and it pretty much kills off
this third set stone dead. There's a little net cord there. Zhang is contained. Yamamoto
sets it up and it's put away beautifully by Takahashi and
Japan in complete control of this match now. Lost cause here. Nishida is just sending down some
heavy artillery here. He really is. Now this is hoisted up and hope that Yamamoto has done what
he can do. But this should come back with interest and indeed it does. They have to
win that point. Li Yongzheng rubs one off the block and away side out China.
Sneaky serve. Doesn't fool anybody. Second touch is beautiful from Liu Meng
who stays in for this fourth set. Japan not getting it there. It's a good take and the quick
inside set. Wang with serve. Pipe attack. Dispatches it with interest.
So China at 12.15. Japan just have to forget about that now.
Get back on to defensive duties. Yamamoto handles that perfectly. Oh the block is too good. No it's
not. It's gone on the wrong side. Gotta play perfect volleyball here. Zhang. Lovely take.
Lovely take from Yamamoto. Absolutely perfect. You know the final touch was pretty good as well
to just wrap this thing up. Goes for a big one and gets it. Yeah spun off Yu Yuantai and away.
With Japan needing five points to secure their second victory.
Oh has he overheated that? Just dropped in. 17.20. China needing a point on serve. Can they get one
here? Not like that. Yuji Nishida. Hebei sets up the pipe attack. Oh dear. It's a nice take.
Well defended in the backcourt and finished off beautifully by Yuki Ishikawa. The Japan captain
takes his nation to match point. It's getting down and dirty in that backcourt that is where so many
matches are won and lost. Takahashi doing his defensive stuff to set up match point here for
Japan and they've got a chance at it right here. Ishikawa the captain with the final
word in this all Asian battle that sees Japan get their revenge.
