MASSIMO GIURA VENDETTA | Il Gladiatore
Nov 7, 2025 #Oscar
In questa scena iconica, Massimo Decimo Meridio (il premio #Oscar Russel Crowe) ha appena trionfato nell'arena come gladiatore, quando l'imperatore Commodo (Joaquin Phoenix) lo esorta a svelare la sua identità.
Do you want to meet him?
Yes, Caesar.
Drop your weapons!
Gladiator, the Emperor Commodus has asked for you.
I am at the service of the Emperor.
Get up!
Your fame is well deserved, Hispanic.
I don't think there has ever been a gladiator like you.
And as for this young man, he insists on saying that you are Hector, king of Livy.
Or was it Hercules?
But why doesn't the hero reveal himself and tell us his real name?
Because you have a name.
They call me gladiator.
How dare you turn your back on me?
Slave!
You will take off your helmet and tell me your name!
My name is Massimo X Meridio.
Commander of the Army of the North.
General of the Felix Legions.
Loyal servant of the only true Emperor, Marco Aurelio.
Father of a murdered son.
Husband of a murdered wife.
And I will have my revenge.
In this life or in the next.
Arm yourself!
