Italy vs South Africa Highlights - FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025

Group A concludes here tonight at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Qatar. Italy already qualified with two wins from two up against South Africa who have four points from their two matches so far. South Africa qualified by the AFCON earlier this year, Under-17s, where they reached the quarterfinals. Great ball in behind for Ignacio! One-nil Italy! And the UEFA Under-17 champions of 2024 are absolutely flying in Qatar. Kick knotted down, great chance here! Surely, no! Luca Reggiani denied. Maccheroni does get it away. Real chance here for two-nil. Massive save by Hatebe, denying Simone Lontani. Long throw routine. Oh, lovely touch round the corner! Fantastic skills from Simone Lontani. Goes short, oh what a clever move this is! Surely, off the post and in! South Africa have the equaliser. Quickly taken free kick and Sean Ells levels it up out of nowhere. South Africa, who hadn't even had a shot on target, find the leveller. Maccheroni's in swinger. Knotted down and in! Italy have their lead back. Antonio Arena, a perfect header from a perfect cross. Slips it in behind, chance for 3-1. Unselfish and in! Arena sets up Inazio. An impressive win to finish an impressive group stage for Italy. The champions of Europe last year march on into the knockouts. South Africa finish with four points and should take second in this group.
