Today, it's about seven herbs or health benefits.
Let's start with parsley.
Now, parsley can easily be steeped into a tea
and it's perfect for a morning pick-me-up
or a mid-afternoon cleanse.
It's also the best first bite of any meal
as it helps to release the digestive juices
and start the process of enzymes.
Enzymes are keys to unlocking the life properties
in these foods.
Now, the second is endive.
Endive is a lettuce and it's delicious
in all of your salads.
And it does the same thing
to stimulate the liver and the digestion.
So remember, to feel our best, we must digest.
Endive is also good for your skin and the mucous membranes.
Now, your skin and the mucous membranes,
that's your first line of defense for your entire body.
So add endive to all of your salads.
Try to experiment with this fresh lettuce
pretty much three times this week and see how you like it.
I would use it as a scoop.
I would actually put it on a tray,
alternate the red and the yellow leaves
and fill them with some hummus or some other type of a dip.
And then maybe sprinkle some paprika on top
and you'd have just a gorgeous tray assortment
for an appetizer.
But definitely just slicing it up
and put it on your salad works as well.
And the third one is horseradish.
Horseradish is perfect for stimulating
the circulatory system.
It's also good for those who have a urinary tract infection
or a respiratory tract infection.
People who have asthma or bronchial mucus,
hay fever, allergies.
And remember, it's going to stimulate the digestive juices.
So here's a quick recipe.
You could just take three cups of grated beets,
one cup of yogurt,
and then add to that one tablespoon of horseradish freshly grated.
Remember, we're not talking sauce.
And then top it with some mint and you've got a perfect salad.
So now let's move on to chamomile.
And you can see by this tag,
beautiful daisy flowers is what we're looking at.
And this is what we're going to be able to enjoy.
Chamomile blossoms contain essential oils
with anti-inflammatory properties.
Many people are familiar with chamomile tea
because it calms the body,
helps you to relax.
Great to have in the evening.
But there's even more.
So when we use the chamomile blossoms,
of course, this is not what we're going to use as the leaves.
We're waiting for the blossoms to arrive in late summer.
And then we will dry those.
And once we've dried them,
we can enjoy them all year long in a tea.
Our next herb is balm.
And this one actually here is a lemon balm.
It's delicious to just nibble on,
but adding it into your cooking.
You can put it in cookies, cakes.
You can put it in your tea.
You can put it in your salad.
Balm relieves spasms to the digestive tract.
So if you have people or children even
that are having trouble eating,
just go ahead and give them a leaf of this
before they start their meal and have them chew it up.
It also is very good at relieving anxiety and depression.
It relieves tension and stress.
So balm also has a tonic effect to the heart
and the blood circulation.
And it can be used in feverish conditions,
such as having the flu.
Do you ever wonder why we didn't know all this growing up?
What happened to all of this information,
this ancient traditions that we should always know about,
and yet we don't?
Yeah, this is some of the lost knowledge
that we're trying to regain.
But remember, it always comes from God's recipe
for excellent health.
Struggling with cravings, fatigue,
or confusion about your health.

Our next herb is peppermint.
And it has anti-inflammatory.
It has germ killing.
It helps to improve the bioflow.
It helps to relieve cramps.
And it also helps to relieve pain.
Now, it's mainly consumed as a mint tea,
yet it's also known to assist with digestive.
So you could actually chew on these leaves as well.
It helps with bloating, diarrhea, stomach aches, and nausea.
So peppermint is also used for insomnia,
headaches, and the common cold.
Okay, sounds like we're leaving nothing out here.
So peppermint's going to have relaxing effect for your muscles.
And it also, and I put in the notes down below in the comments,
if you understand what this means,
it has anti-flatulent properties.
I'm not going to explain it.
I'm just going to see how many of you can get that right down below.
It's going to stimulate the bowel and the gallbladder.
And it's also going to help with digestive juices,
which I've already told you already.
So you definitely want to add this into your diet.
Make it into a tea.
Get the leaves right here.
They're already fresh and ready to go.
They can be steeped into a tea.
Actually, we have one friend at church who grows a lot of mint
because their child uses it to make mint ice cream every year.
So there you go.
That would relieve some tension.
This next herb is hyssop.
Now you can kind of tell it is springtime.
I have not cleaned up this flower bed yet,
but I just wanted you to see,
you can kind of see how tall it grows.
You kind of see the spikes there.
Here's some of the flower seeds from last year growing up.
So what I'm going to have to do this spring
is just clean out all of these limbs
just to make it look nice and clean.
But I want you to just recognize this is hyssop.
It grows nice and tall.
It'll be about four feet tall with beautiful flowers on it.
The bees, the butterflies love it.
But hyssop is more than just beauty.
We know it's mentioned in scripture,
yet the variety grown in Israel
is different than the variety we grow here.
Just their growing season's different.
We're not exactly sure exactly which plant
they were referring to as the hyssop in scripture.
Yet hyssop has amazing health benefits.
It's good for cough, bronchitis, cold.
It's helpful for those with anxiety, hysteria,
and even some forms of mild epilepsy.
So we definitely want to add some hyssop into our garden,
start growing that today
and enjoying that for the health benefits.
Well, it's hard to do a video out in the yard
without letting Trixie be a part of it.
She has definitely grown up
if you've been watching her on these videos
and she's been following me around the yard
showing you every one of the herbs herself.
So she wanted to say hello.
Well, it's a gorgeous day.
I can't wait to get some of these planted in my garden,
especially the chamomile and the balm.
So I just want to know
how many of these do you have in your garden?
How many are you going to add this year?
And how many are you going to start eating today?
Yes, I've given you many reasons
to start enjoying these herbs.
I can't wait to read your comments.
Which one did you try first?
How did you like it?
What recipe did you use it with?
And hey, I just want to say thank you
for letting me serve you God's recipe
for excellent health.
And you know what it is.
It starts with the number one ingredient,
and that is that God loves you.
He's loved you from the moment of conception
and he will love you forever.
He's there for you anytime you need him.
And he is the one constant thing in your life.
So thank you for watching.
I can't wait to read in your comments what you think.
