Welcome to my Christmas 2025 decorate with me! Today, I’m transforming our home for the holidays with cozy greenery, velvet ornaments, and timeless elegant decor. You’ll see how I styled our Christmas tree, mantle, and seasonal touches to create a warm, elevated look that feels festive but still curated.
If you love modern transitional Christmas decor, neutral holiday styling, or just need inspiration for your Christmas home decorating, this video is for you.
Hey friends, welcome back to my channel.
In today's video, we're going to be decorating my home
for Christmas for 2025.
And as always, I'm going to be starting
in my formal living room area.
And the first thing I always do, of course,
is move this tree because we're going to place
the Christmas tree in this corner right here.
I always like to start with the Christmas tree collar.
And this one I got from Hobby Lobby last year,
but it's still available this year.
I love how sturdy it is,
as well as the rich, dark tone of brown
that will compliment my decor so well this year.
My Christmas tree is from Sam's Club
and this is the Member's Mark Agosta Pine Tree.
And it is nine feet tall.
This is the fourth year that I put it up.
It's still in great shape.
I do have some lights failing at the very bottom
of the tree, but I still can make it work.
And one of the things that I love the most about this tree
is that the outer stems have that gorgeous shape
that resemble a natural pine,
but then the inner stems are flexible,
which will allow me to insert ribbon
and do more structured decor looks
like y'all know I love doing on my Christmas trees.
So as always, I like to assemble the Christmas tree
in portion by portion as I go.
I try to fluff those stems as much as I can,
rather than doing it when the tree is fully assembled.
And before I start decorating the Christmas tree,
I am going to use these greenery stems
that have these elongated pine cones incorporated.
And I like to use these to cover any empty spaces
that the Christmas tree may have.
It'll also provide a little bit of a different texture
from the stems of the Christmas tree,
making any look that you create feel way more elaborated.
And you can play around with this technique so much.
You can do flock stems on a green Christmas tree
or vice versa.
I like to keep it green on green.
Plus, I think the mini pine cones
add such a nice additional detail to my Christmas tree
that will make a small but significant contribution
to the final look of the Christmas tree.
And by the way, these stems I have gotten over the years
from a place called Christmas Palace,
located here in South Florida.
So unfortunately, I won't have a link
for these specific ones.
Next up, I am jumping straight into the ornaments.
And my selection this year came from Walmart
as well just as last year.
They came out with these beautiful flocked ornaments
that I showcased on my shop with me video
at Walmart for Christmas this year,
as well as my Christmas decor top picks video.
I have these large size, dark red ornament balls.
And as you were able to see in the previous shot,
one of them is plain and the other one is ribbed.
And I am alternating those textures all around the tree.
As you can see here, I am attaching them with floral wire.
And instead of having them hang off
of the stems of the tree,
I am making sure they are tucked in.
It's just a look I prefer,
especially because I'm going to be working
with other elements in this look
that will be hanging from the tree.
Therefore, I want the ornaments
a little bit more tucked in.
Also, one huge different thing I'm doing this year
is that I am placing the ornaments on their own.
Last year, I worked with clusters all around the tree.
If you wanna see how I created those clusters last year,
I'll be sure to link that video down below for you.
For my smaller ornaments, I am keeping the flocked look,
but I am combining the dark red
with the brown ornaments, as you can see.
I think this will create a nice contrast
and color combination that will look very cohesive
with the rest of the decor that I plan to do in this area.
And just as I was commenting earlier,
I am going to scatter all of these smaller ornaments
all around the tree.
I'm going to tuck them in
because I will need many of these branch tips
empty for other elements.
And I don't know about you,
but when I am decorating a Christmas tree,
this is a process of stepping back,
look for empty spaces, walk close again,
and place your elements in a balanced way,
and then step back and repeat
until the Christmas tree is done.
So obviously, you're going to see me do this
all throughout the process of decorating this tree.
The next stage of decorating this Christmas tree
is going to be the picks.
And I'm going to start with these berry picks
in that dark red color,
combined with these other beige velvet picks
from Hobby Lobby that I've had for a couple of years now.
Both of these combined will give texture
to the Christmas tree,
and the lighter picks will hopefully bring
a little bit more contrast
to all of the dark colors that I have going on.
When it comes to placement,
I always like to place all my picks together,
work them in clusters all around the tree.
And it's always all about taking a step back
and see where you can add just another cluster of picks.
But this is definitely optional.
You don't have to work your picks this way.
And that is what I love about the flexibility
on decorating Christmas trees.
There's just so many techniques
that you can adjust to your taste or preference.
I have a few of those additional berry picks
that I'm going to use to fill up the bottom stems.
And I can't remember if I got these
from Hobby Lobby or Michael's,
but I've had them for a few years now.
Last year, I used oversized pine cones on my tree.
And this year, I wanted to change that detail
for these gorgeous glass teardrop ornaments
that I sourced off of Amazon.
They come in a set of 22 pieces
and they do have different sizes in the set.
This year, I wanted to add a delicate touch
to my Christmas tree.
And I felt like these glass ornaments
were the perfect choice.
They have that sense of nostalgic yet quiet elegance
that I really wanted to add to my Christmas tree this year.
They bring such a nice juxtaposition
between the rustic elements I have going on in here,
like the wicker collar,
the dark ornaments against that delicate glass.
I think it looks so elegant and I really loved it.
There's really not a science behind hanging these.
However, I did want to add the longest ones
on the outer parts of the tree,
only so that the fall of these teardrops
can be more evident and visible.
And then I placed the shorter teardrops
more towards the center and among other ornaments.
And if you've been watching
my Christmas Decorate With Me videos for years now,
you could tell that I cannot live without ribbon.
I initially was planning on not adding any
to this Christmas tree, which was a first for me.
But as I was coming close to finishing the look,
I felt like it really needed the ribbon
to fill in empty gaps.
So I went in with this My Texas House Christmas Ribbon
that I've been using for two or three years in a row now.
I am going to try and find something similar
to link it below.
The idea here is to cover empty spaces,
but also to bring a little bit more contrast
to all the moody colors that I have on my Christmas tree.
One thing to consider is that this Christmas tree
is in a corner behind a window.
So when you look at it in person,
you have all the light coming behind the tree
and it really darkens colors way more
than what you would see them on video
because when I'm filming these videos,
I make sure to film them on the right angles
so you can appreciate the real colors.
That being said,
I felt like the ribbon was necessary for this tree.
And in previous videos,
I have shown you how I apply my ribbon to my Christmas tree.
So I'll be sure to link last year's down below
in my description box in case you're curious.
One of my absolute favorite details
for my Christmas tree last year
were these battery operated candles
that I incorporated into the stems.
You guys also loved it,
but I cannot even begin to explain
how magical it looked at night,
not counting the additional light
that these candles bring to the tree.
So I decided to bring them back.
And one question that I got last year
was how did I hang these?
And I figured I would take this opportunity to explain.
So in here, I have my candle in the floral wire.
I made a loop in between the wick of the candle
in the end of the wire, as you can see,
just twisting the floral wire
just so that they can hang off of the tip
of one of the branches.
I like to hang these candles in clusters of two or three,
but you can do it however you want.
And for those clusters,
you do need to find three or two branches
that are parallel to each other
so that they can sit straight and somewhat close.
You do have to play around and wiggle them a little bit.
Being in content creation for home decor
means you have to come up with new ideas every season.
And that's amazing
because I get to create a new Christmas tree every year.
However, the downside of that
is that if you get attached to some things
or some ideas that you wanna repeat year after year,
there's always that pressure of needing to change.
But honestly, I'm happy I brought the candles back this year
even for non-content creators.
That's what you do in your house.
You bring back what you loved
and then you change what could be better.
So that's what we're doing here.
To decorate my small mantel,
I'm going to go ahead and start with my Hobby Lobby garland.
This is the second year I use it in this space,
but this year I decided to drape it asymmetrically
towards one side.
Then on the other side of the mantel,
I'm going to go in with my favorite vase from Olive Atelier.
And I actually placed it in this same spot last year,
but this year I'm bringing in these stems from Target.
I have a total of four.
They're from the Hearth and Hand Collection
and I think they're the most beautiful,
natural-looking pine stems.
And the height provide a lot of character to this vignette.
I wanted this area to look extra festive,
so I'm bringing pops of color with this ribbon
that I'm attaching to the vase, making a bow like so.
I also got these berry stems from Target
and they're shorter.
They come in a bunch, but I separated them
and decided to combine them with the green pieces right here.
I think it brings so much life to the space
and it definitely elevates the festive vibe of this vase.
I am a firm believer that if there's a garland draping
like this, there has to be twinkle lights.
So I went ahead and added one single string
of twinkle lights and that alone was enough
to elevate this garland and make it look
so much more magical.
I hung these deep red stockings this year
that I got from the My Texas House Collection from Walmart.
And what I love the most about these
is that elegant, timeless look.
Not only the deep red color ties up really well
with my Christmas tree, but also the velvet fabric
and the ruffle at the top have such a timeless elegance,
especially combined with the garland.
On the other side of the mantel,
I'm going to go in with this carved black reindeer
from Hobby Lobby, which I've spoken about more than once.
I love that this is festive, yet such a nice,
simple piece to keep things cohesive.
And in my opinion, scents are also part of home decor.
So I wanted to add a pine scented candle.
This one came from the Hearth and Hand Collection
from Target this year.
I'm going to place it in the center
and I added a couple of decorative books
just to give the candle a little bit more height,
only because there's a lot of garland going around.
So I'm placing the candle in the center
and I'm going to combine it
with this metal black candle snuffer
that I sourced from Amber Interiors this year.
Next up is my coffee table
and I'm going to start with a couple of sets
of decorative books just to create mini vignettes
around here.
Last year, I added my beautiful nativity scene
that was brought from the Holy Land,
but my dog kept thinking it was a toy.
So this is not coming back to the spot this year,
although I need to find a spot for my nativity scene.
That being said, I'm just going to add decorations
that are not going to run the risk of being confused by toys.
Just a simple vase.
This one is from Walmart.
I'm adding a little bit more
of that burgundy ribbon all around.
And I'm going to add this mini Christmas tree
that is going to be playing the role of greenery.
I think it has such a nice natural look.
And this one came from Hobby Lobby last year.
I found these tapered candles
in that deep red color at Target this year.
They are from Threshold.
And I'm going to combine them
with these tapered candle holders in that brass color
that I actually got from Walmart last year.
But just to add an additional touch,
I decided to do some more bows all around the candle,
not the candle holder.
I like the combination of red on red.
It is a simple yet very elegant idea.
And it just goes to prove how a little bit of ribbon
can sometimes make all the difference.
Next up, I'm going in with these antique brass bells
from Hobby Lobby.
They used to come with a chunky rope,
but I cut that off and replaced it
with the same ribbon last year.
I'm using two of the same size
and one slightly larger
just to create a little bit of an asymmetrical look
in this vignette.
And as I show you how my coffee table
ended up looking like for this Christmas season,
I want to take a few seconds to thank you
for all of your kind words and messages
after my grandmother's passing towards the end of October.
I needed to take last week off from content creation,
so I appreciate your patience.
