Hello, I'm Helen.
I'm an ambassador for Look Fabulous Forever
and I'm just getting ready to start my day.
So excuse me whilst I get my fringe out of the way.
Now I have already put on, just primed my face,
the beautiful Smooth Like Silk Face Prime
and I've put the Smooth Out Eye Prime on my eyelids
and I've given them a chance to soak in.
Now I'm going for a light makeup look today.
So I'm just going to use
the Light Look Beauty Balm in 0.5.
So I've got the nice stubby foundation brush
and start working it in.
Now this gives a lovely light coverage to the face
but also gives a glow and a freshness to the skin.
And then just smooth it over with my fingertips.
It's important if you're using just a light coverage
that the condition of your skin is good to start with.
So after I had my shower this morning,
I then applied the Daily SPF Sun Protection Serum
to protect my skin.
And then I followed this with the Hydration Hold Serum
for some moisture and then the beautiful
Smooth The Day Face Cream
to give my skin as much help as possible
as a base for the makeup.
So that's gone in quite nicely.
As you can see, it's quite light but it does give a glow.
So I'm going to set that with a translucent powder.
Dab that on.
And then to add a little bit more warmth to my face,
I'm going to use the bronzer.
Now this does look quite a scary color
but when it's on, a very subtle warmth.
Just to help a bit more, I've got the Desert Rose Blush.
This is a neutral color.
I suppose it's peachy pink but I think anyone can wear it.
If you're very fair, I perhaps would go
for the lighter version of this
but for most people, mid-toned or darker, this is lovely.
Just more warmth and glow.
And then using the blusher brush, sweep it in.
Now I'm just probably staying at home today.
I might potter in the garden.
My neighbor might pop their head over the fence for a chat.
I might wander into the village for some shopping later
or my little grandchildren might FaceTime me for a chat
or to show me what they've been up to during the day.
So I do want to look as good as I can do
without going over the top.
So on my eyelid, I'm going to apply Taupe,
another good universal color that everyone can wear.
Now my eyelids are quite wrinkled and saggy and baggy.
So the Eyelid Prime really helps the eyeshadow to stick
and dabbing it on like this helps to get it
really into the skin.
And then I go, I look at the mirror with my eyes open
to see where to go above the eye socket
just to give me a bit of depth.
So it's quite subtle coloring
but it adds just enough, I think, to enhance my eyes.
Again, above the socket line to give a bit of depth there.
I've got the new Eyeshadow Cream Stick in Pearl
which does have a slight pinkish tinge to it.
So, and I'm wearing pink today.
So I'm going to just pull my eyelid taut
and put a little bit just in the middle and smooth it in.
So it's quite subtle, but again,
just adds a little gleam of interest.
Now I do like to line my eyes.
So I use the charcoal with quite a thin brush
but actually it's not the thinnest brush
that Look Fabulous Forever does.
Because I quite like the width that this brush gives me.
I think it helps make my eyelashes
look more than they actually are.
So that's going up just along the edge of my eyelid.
Quite a thick, heavy line, which some people might not like
but it's a personal choice.
I do like it.
Sometimes I go under my eye as well
but today it's a light, natural look.
So I'm just going above my eyelids.
What do you think?
Do you like that or is that too heavy for you?
And now mascara.
This is the Lithe Lash Mascara in Waterproof Black.
Just sort of judge it through the lashes.
Now I do need some lipstick.
My lips have really lost all their colours.
But I want, again, to keep it fairly neutral.
So I'm using today, it's a long lasting version
of Dusky Rose.
These long lasting lipsticks really do
what it says on the tin.
There, so just finish off with my matching scarf.
And there.
So that's my light look, natural look makeup
for a day at home or pottering about in the garden.
I hope you like it.
