Veterans Day aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71)

Today, we pause to honor those who have stood the watch, past and present.
Each face tells a story of courage, of sacrifice, of a promise kept to something greater than themselves.
Defending freedom, upholding peace, and carrying forward the proud legacy of our Navy.
Their service lives on in every mission we undertake, every mile we travel,
and in every sailor that carries the torch today, forged to fight.
On this Veterans Day, we remember them.
The shipmates who came before us, and those still standing the watch.
Because USS Theodore Roosevelt's strength is more than steel and nuclear power.
It is the determination, teamwork, and spirit of all who work on board.
To all who have served, thank you.
