Hey guys and welcome to our latest yuzu video, which uncovers the truth and dispels the controversy
around micro pigs. These adorable tiny pigs might seem cute and cuddly, but how about when they
reach this size? Although miniature pigs have been bred for years, the big boom started in 2009
when celebrities were seen carrying these tiny pigs as pets. It took Pennywell Farm in Devon
22 years to finally breed miniature pigs. They claim on their website that a Pennywell miniature
pig will tend to remain around or under knee high and their adult size would be approximately the
size of a small Labrador. That is pretty small. However, many other breeders claimed that their
pigs were even smaller, going as far as to say they would remain teacup sized. But it soon hit
the headlines when pet owners were left with fully grown pot bellied pigs in their living rooms.
Jane Croft had been breeding micro pigs for one year in this interview in 2009.
Well you don't have to walk them like a dog. You feed them twice a day, give them lots of water
and lots of love and that's basically it. Very low maintenance. Jane declared bankruptcy soon after
as she claimed a Facebook hate campaign destroyed her business. It seems like someone has been
telling porkies. Personally I don't think there is such a thing as a micro pig. I think they all
grow to a fair old size and the sad consequence is that people buy something small and cute like
these thinking that that's the way it's going to stay or that it's not going to get much bigger.
So the pig ends up in the wrong environment and eventually you've got unhappy owners who've got
a huge animal that's wreaking havoc in their house. So if you think these piglets would make great
pets make sure you do your research before you buy. Otherwise you could end up with a lot more
than you baconed for. If you enjoyed this video don't forget to check out our friends at Waker
