Team Readies Boeing 777-9 for the Dubai Airshow Flying Display

The air show, we have to get the airplane ready and then we have to get all of the teams ready. There's a lot of logistics that needs to happen behind the scenes, making sure that the airplane is ready for any scenario. The airplane gets washed from nose to tail. We take this airplane pretty much everywhere, particularly the desert a lot of times. There's a lot of dust, a lot of like dirt that gets like picked up. We use lift machines and aviation grade cleaning detergents. We have a specific stall where we wash our airplane. It's like slope, so the water will run to a specific drain where that water is controlled and it goes through and cleaned out properly before we do the dispose of it. A clean airplane is a representation of a well-maintained airplane. The pilots practice all of the maneuvers in the simulator and then we practice the air show locally in Washington. We've already done a lot of practice flights out of here. During our practice flights, there are four pilots on board and they all each take turns like practicing the maneuvers that we are going to show. The air show maneuvers showcase the performance capabilities of the aircraft and it's a culmination of all of that hard work and we're all really proud of it. For me, watching the air show, it's like having your professor grade the final exam in front of you and having every question receive a correct check mark. It's an example of years of hard work and dedication and commitment paying off. I'm always excited to talk about the airplane and to show it off to people. I'm really proud of it and so I'm really excited to go to Dubai and show it off to everyone else.
