🍳🥚 Remember that “behind-the-scenes” thing I mentioned a while ago?
The secret’s out... but only for those who read this!
I’ve opened the Spanish After Hours community on a platform called Skool where we hang out, meet friends, exchange languages, and complete challenges together.
It’s still in its baby phase, so if you want to be a founding member and help shape this project, you can join for $7/month before the price goes up later.

As you may know, I live in a van.
This is my van, it's my house.
And although it's a small space, it's a small space, I have a lot of things.
But inside these things, these objects, there are some objects that are my favorites.
And they are essential in my life.
To begin with, we have this here.
This here is a vacuum cleaner, it's like a gun.
It has this, which is a trigger, a trigger, you press it, and the trigger sucks.
So I bought a vacuum cleaner, and yes, it's a Dyson because I'm a bitch, and I bought a Dyson.
But it's the best money I've ever invested in this van.
I use this thing every day because, although it's a very small space, it gets dirty very quickly.
And it's always full of dirt, dust, hair...
And this is very useful to clean all that very easily and very quickly.
And since it's such a small space, I do like this...
And that's it, clean.
Another object that I use a lot, and this, let's say it's a couple, they come together.
First, the teapot, this is a metal teapot.
I love the shape of this teapot, it's so cute.
It's a teapot with this handle, the handle bends, it also has a lid, and it's a teapot with a whistle.
That is, when the water is boiling, the teapot whistles, it goes like this.
And I use the teapot to heat the water in my hot water bottle.
This goes together, there can't be one without the other, they are a couple.
And the hot water bottle is essential.
I use it when I don't want to turn on the heating, and then I use my hot water bottle,
which one day I burned it a little, so this is melted.
And up here it says, do not use boiling water.
I always use boiling water, I always use boiling water.
And I hope that one day it doesn't break and all the boiling water falls on my legs.
Next object, uh, objects.
My balls.
I read a book, this one here, Goodbye Things,
which said how to find happiness with the art of the essential.
This book talks about minimalism, but it's not minimalism of
I only have two t-shirts and two pants, no.
It's a minimalism that tries to have only the things you love, the things you like.
And I went and bought these Japanese dishes, they are Japanese,
because I wanted to have some nice dishes and that made me happy.
Next, it seems that we are in the kitchen section, because we have a pan,
but it is an stainless steel pan.
I don't know where this is from, my mother gave it to me.
So it's already special, because my mother gave it to me.
But I like it a lot because I didn't know how to cook in stainless steel,
and I only brought a pan to the van, this one here.
So, cooking every day, I've been learning how to use this pan,
because I used to use Teflon, and let's say a couple of eggs have stuck to me.
This here is also a favorite object that also reminds me of my family.
It's a caramela, it's a pan that we use for toasts in the mornings.
And at first I didn't bring one, and I missed my family's toasts a lot.
So one day I went to a market and bought it.
I make toasts with this. When it's bread, I use this here,
which you also put on the fire, because I have fire, I have gas, and that's it.
As you can see, toasts are very important to me.
Another thing that is super important to me in this van is lighting.
When I designed the van, I did a light study,
and I designed all the lights in the van, because I don't like the ceiling light.
So, I tried several fairy lights, until I found these here,
which are from Ikea, and I love them, because they give a very warm and beautiful light,
and they consume very little electricity, which is very important when you produce your own electricity.
Another thing that I love about this van that gives it a super welcoming touch,
apart from the lights, are the paintings.
The frames are drawings that I chose and printed,
and I've put them on some frames all over the van, and they give the van a super welcoming touch.
I have some mushrooms, some flowers, some landscape, some bees.
This is a bee dancing, and here I have more bees, I have more mushrooms, and a cat.
Another of my favorite objects is this here.
It's a metal tupperware, the bottom part is metal, the lid is plastic,
but since it's metal, to heat the food, I take the lid off,
I put the tupperware on the fire, and I heat the food directly in the tupperware,
and so I don't have to dirty the tupperware and the pan.
Another object that I like a lot is this broom here.
Well, the brush of the broom, and it's a very old brush.
I like it a lot, I use it to clean the sand off my feet.
Guys! Girls!
It's very old, but it's very special to me, because it was my father's, now it's mine.
And my father had it in the car, and whenever we went to the beach,
he cleaned the sand off our feet with this brush.
And so we got into the car without sand on our feet.
I've taken it, now it lives with me, and I keep cleaning the sand off my feet with this brush.
This here is also one of my favorite objects.
I love it, because I love sitting on the floor,
but I always end up hunched, I end up with my back screwed,
because I lean like this and I have a very bad posture.
This is a chair for the floor.
I do this with the sticks, I place it, and bam.
Here we have a chair to put on the floor and have a backrest.
A backrest to support my back.
This here is my next object.
It's a compact hand ladder.
Compact, because if it weren't compact, I couldn't keep it, I don't have the space.
So it extends like this, bam.
And so I have a hand ladder to get on the van.
Let's go up.
Oh, ****, I'm going to fall.
Oh, ----, I'm really going to fall.
This is how I can see the solar panels, thanks to my ladder.
Oh, don't fall on me, please.
It's bent.
It's not straight, it's bent.
You already know this one, my scooter.
It still doesn't have a name, I should give it a name.
But it's my scooter, it's not electric, and I love it.
I use it a lot when there is pavement, when I'm on the grass or on the ground, I don't use it.
But when there is cement, I love using my scooter.
And the slopes down, wow, fantastic.
The slopes up cost me a lot, they are a bit difficult, I end up like this.
Very tired.
It's a fun alternative to walking, and it helps me to transport myself faster through the city or the town.
And well, those are my favorite objects.
Bye.
