Hey there, April, my mom, I go, yes, the next year.
Today we've got a battle of strength, stamina, and smiles.
Mom versus me in an exercise showdown.
I don't think Mochi's gonna be in on this one.
All right, you ready for this?
Yeah, I'm ready.
Let's go.
Age versus youth.
All right, let's see who comes out on top.
Round one.
Squats or sit to stands.
We're gonna see how many you can do in 30 seconds.
All right, 100 feet, mom.
Here we go.
Thank you.
Ready?
Yeah.
Great.
It's 13 on that one.
Next exercise are the pushups.
I'm doing it on the floor.
Mom is doing it on the wall.
Ready, set, go.
Mochi's supervising.
Yes.
Hello.
Yes, I hear you.
Great.
You're doing this with us?
Awesome.
See how many you can do in 30 seconds.
And rest.
Next round is tricep kickbacks, everybody.
No, it's all right.
I'm just getting, this is the motion.
And go.
30 seconds.
Okay, keep going.
Looking good.
And rest.
Woo.
Nice job.
100.
Last move in this round is overhead punches.
Looks like this.
Or if you can't get your arms up,
just give it to me out here.
Okay?
Forward.
So here we go.
Go.
30 seconds.
So pace yourself, everybody.
Mom.
Breathe, everybody.
Keep it going.
It's excellent work.
Breathe, breathe, breathe.
Keep it going, Mom.
You're looking good.
A few more seconds.
And rest.
Woo.
Nice work.
Now we're in the endurance round.
See who can hold out the longest, up to one minute.
First one is the plank.
So you're going to do it on the wall, Mom.
I am going to do it on the floor.
Let's see.
And again, anytime.
Okay, we're on.
If you can hold it.
Oh boy.
I've got added challenge.
You got a spoiler here.
I think he's working on your team.
He's on your team.
Yeah, breathe, everybody.
Okay.
Breathe, Mom.
Mom has her elbows on the wall
and she's engaging her core.
And I'm on my hands,
but you can also go on your elbows here, friends.
Breathe.
How you doing, Mom?
Okay, babe.
How you doing, Mom?
I'm hanging.
Okay, I'm starting to feel it.
Breathe.
I think my mom's going to get me on this one.
Okay, everybody.
Hold tight.
Squeeze the buns.
Squeeze your core.
Hold it.
Breathe.
That might've been a draw.
Okay, next up is the wall sit.
So you want to stand about foot from the wall.
Put your hands on the wall.
Put your bum on the wall.
Put your back on the wall and then lower down.
Okay.
And the goal here, see who you can hold out.
One minute is the max.
Hey, you really have to engage your thighs here.
Breathe.
Now even go down a little.
Those are creaky.
A little bit lower.
Oh, this is as high as I can go.
Okay, stand up then.
Oh, my bones are creaky.
Okay.
I'm going.
I quit.
You win.
I'm holding it.
You won this round.
I won this round.
I'm going to go as long as I can.
Okay.
And if you're with me, let's hang here
just for another 20 seconds.
Great job, mom, though.
But that's a great example of, you know,
doing as much as you can.
And, you know, over time, you keep doing it,
you'll be able to do it longer.
Right, mom?
Oh, sure.
Sure.
Okay, breathe, everybody.
If I get new knees, I probably could.
Breathe, breathe.
All right, nice work.
Okay, press out, step it back, and up.
Now this one, he's in your seat.
So you can do this seated or standing
since he is in your seat.
All I want you to do is to squeeze your glutes together.
Okay?
You can't see my mom's little butt here squeezing together,
but you can do this in a chair.
And for you standing with me,
we're going to do a squat hold.
We'll see how long you can hold your butt cheeks together.
Okay, here we go.
Squat hold or squeeze the butt.
Squeezing.
See, Mochi's squeezing his butt too.
He's saying, hey man, I want in on this.
Hey, good one.
He wants to participate.
That's right.
Are you still squeezing?
Oh, good, I feel it.
Nice, good.
Yep, squeeze it.
And at any time, if you want to release it,
if you feel it, you know, you can,
but this is the challenge, right?
I'm holding the squat.
Breathe, everybody.
Breathe.
Are you still squeezing?
Yeah.
Good.
You still squeezing?
Yeah.
Breathe.
Mom is in it to win it here.
She's in it to win it.
Breathe.
Squatting and holding.
Squeeze the glutes.
Breathe.
Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze.
And up.
Oh, yes.
I think that was a draw.
Our final endurance move is the bicep curl hold.
Okay.
90 degrees.
Let's see who can hold out.
My mom's got two pound weights.
We're on.
Two pound weights.
I've got five pounders in my hands.
Okay.
Two pounds is good enough.
Yes.
And the competition is on.
One minute max.
Let's see what we got here.
Breathe.
Anyone can join in, right?
Of course.
Yeah.
Give us another person to compete against.
That's right.
And let us know how you're doing.
They want to cheer you on.
But this is a head-to-head move with my mom here.
We're going head-to-head.
You just remembered tomorrow's dinner, you know.
You cannot eat.
Uh-oh.
That is an amazing incentive to throw the game.
Throw the match.
All right.
Breathe it out.
Wow.
Excellent.
Super strength.
All right.
This is good.
All right.
You feel that isometric hold.
You're really engaging the muscles without moving joints.
So you're doing strengthening without moving anything.
Oh, wow.
Nice work.
Put those weights on.
Excellent work, everybody.
Who won?
Who won this endurance competition?
Mom says she won.
You be the judge.
All right.
Thank you so much for joining us.
If you liked this video,
please let us know what you thought
and let us know how you did as well.
All right.
So we look forward to seeing you in a future video.
And in the meantime, keep moving,
stay strong, building muscle.
See you soon.
