Just 7 miles outside of Laughlin, NV, down a windy dirt road is Telephone Cove. I'll take you down the windy dirt road right to the beach, where RVs can camp for free on public Land. I was lucky enough to show my Mom this site, AND meet Brynn from The Wicked Stone and Hear Bijou Ju Ju playing live on the beach at night! It's amazing!
Hey everybody, it's Robin with Creativity RV. I am leaving Bullhead City, which is the only place
to get groceries right next to Laughlin, Nevada. And like I said in my last video, I was casino
camping at the Riverside Hotel & Co. in Laughlin, and I wanted to get some supplies before I headed
out to Telephone Co. That's about seven miles from here. You can hear my GPS going on in the
half an hour to get there. About three miles of it is a dirt road. Like I said in my last video,
it is really windy today, and Telephone Co. has the reputation for being a windy spot. So,
I'm going to go down there and see what it's like. I have some backups if it doesn't work,
but I'm going to take you guys in on the drive with me. So, I'm going to turn the camera around
so you guys can see the drive-in. I hope you enjoy it. I hope it helps some of you come to visit Nevada.
I'm hoping that I'm going to be able to find a spot on the beach for the next four days
because I have been in Laughlin casino camping. So, I could do a story for you guys on that.
Look at the last video for that. I got the inside scoop from some locals, and I have to actually be
in Las Vegas for four days next week because I'm meeting my boyfriend out there. Yes, I'm in a
relationship as a solo full-time RVer. It's tricky, but he's very supportive, and I will do a story on
that sometime soon so we can let you guys know how we've been navigating it anyway. But, Laughlin's
been great for a few days. You know, Wi-Fi services, some stuff to do, but I don't like to be camped in
a parking lot next to a lot of other people for a long period of time. So, I'm going to turn the
camera around now so you guys can see how I get to Searchlight Cove. I've never been there before,
from the beach, and you can see my big boy. He just came to join me. He rides up front with me
and looks at the view. Lucky cat. The road hasn't been bad. There's been some super steep
areas and then some super heavy inclines, and some of the edges are sand and really soft. So, I'm
taking it super slow, and in a second here I'll be to the beach, and I'm going to turn it around now
and show you guys because it is just insanely gorgeous. I don't know if you guys can see it yet,
but there's water down there. Hey, everybody. Look, I am 0.2 miles away from the beach, and there are a lot
of people down there. I was kind of hoping, since it was windy, that there wouldn't be, but I'm hoping
I can find a spot because it is gorgeous. There are some trees, and I read in one comment, right
now I have no signal at all with Verizon. I have a monster antenna I can put up, but somebody told me
if you go farther in north that you do get a signal, and you get these stations.
It looks like there's some vault toilets and
a lot of good spots. I don't have a signal, and I need one.
I'm going to go ahead and check out this little area down here,
see if I end up having a signal. I'll let you guys know where I end up.
So, this is Telephone Cove. Isn't it gorgeous? Absolutely. This is one of my favorite campsites
I've ever been to. The drive-in wasn't too tough. The road, like I said, was a little sandy and
narrow. There were some big ups and downs, but after that 4.3 mile dirt road drive, which took
me about half an hour, you get to park right on the beach with these wonderful ducks and the water
lapping right up next to your tires. It was very calm during the week when I was there. On the
weekends, it looked like, you know, some locals came down to enjoy the water, which is cool, and
it was a great spot to stay before my trip to Vegas. There were vault toilets,
and there was trash, and you can stay here for seven days according to the signs. I think some
people were maybe skirting that a little bit and staying longer, but everybody seemed really
respectful. There is no camp host here, and there's a very light Verizon signal. I hope
this helped everybody. If it did, please subscribe, and have a great day.
